Save then multiple Redo (using keyboard shortcut) Crashes Illustrator
Some times, I hit save instead of save as. I then undo a few steps and save. I then hit redo a few time in rapid succession and illustrator crashes.

Illustrator not copying SVG code to clipboard
After updating to v 27.5, objects that I copy and then paste into other apps are pasting as un-antialiased rasterized images. Previously, the copied data would paste as vectors into apps that accept SVG data, and antialiased transparent PNG images in other apps. To get around this I am first pasting into XD, then copying the data as SVG. It would be good to restore the original behavior of the clipboard.
1 voteAccording to the team, SVG copy/paste was disabled by default as many customers see performance issues on Windows 11 (due to clipboard recorder). It can get enabled back again in Preferences > Clipboard Handling > Include SVG Code.

Big ugly black square in the middle of my picture.
Every time I open a PDF version of my image, Illustrator adds a big ugly black square right in the middle of my picture, and there doesn't appear to be a quick way to remove it.

Illustrator crashes when you change document color mode from RGB to CMYK and from CMYK to RGB
Illustrator crashes when you change a document color mode from RGB to CMYK, if the file was created in RGB and contains vector objects. If the file was created as CMYK and you try to change it to RGB, Illustrator crashes too.

Rotate tool doesn't center
When trying to select center while trying to rotate an object around another one, it doesn't center. It will put the center of rotation somewhere around the center of the second object. Like this everything rotated and copied is off center.
Not sure if it is related, but when selecting several items and want to align them horizontally, it just doesn't work. It is placed off the axis (imaginary horizontal line).

Application name in dialogue box contains strange character
Illustrator version 27.6 shows strange characters in dialogue box.
The app name is $$$/GeneralStr/196=Adobe Illustrator.
It feels not good, to use an app with a strange behavior like this.2 votesThis issue is fixed in 27.6.1 update.

Reopening files and all images have been rotated 90 degrees
Reopening PDF files that have been worked on the day before and all images have been rotated 90 degrees.

Layers turned off on open of previously saved file
When opening a previously saved file, multiple groups across artboards have their visibility turned off when they are active at save point.

Can't open specific files by double clicking icons (macOS Ventura)
ファイルアイコンをダブルクリックしてもファイルが開かないことがあります。Creative Cloud Files に置いてある .ai データで発生する事象のようですが、正常に開くファイルもあり、法則性は今のところわからないですですが、開かないファイルが置いてあるのと同一のフォルダ内にある他のファイルもことごとく開かないのでフォルダによって挙動が異なるのかもしれません。（フォルダ名やファイル名に関するエラーメッセージなどは CC アプリでは表示されていません）
開かないファイルは Creative Cloud Files からローカルデスクトップに移動またはコピーするとダブルクリックで開きます。1 vote -
Switch window now blocked with an illegal action sound
When I've got windows open on two monitors, when trying to pick the window on my second monitor (and sometimes on my primary monitor), there is a bing (noise to say I'm doing an illegal action) and it doesn't allow me to do it. This has only started since the last update and is not consistent. The way round I've found for it is to go the Window menu and pick the file on my second monitor and then it's all back to normal again.

Illustrator turning PNG images yellow/purple / inverted
Running Illustrator 27.4.1 on Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1.
Having this issue with clear PNGs on Illustrator. The PNGs look okay when placed on the file. Upon re-opening of the file, all of the clear PNGs have turned negative, having a purple filter/yellow background.

"The file is not readable" Can't paste image into Illustrator without saving it to computer
When I try to paste an image I copied from pinterest/google etc, it always shows "the file is not readable". Now I have to save every image I want and then drag and drop/place it in illustrator. Which is an additional step I don't need and is very frustrating.
I've never had this problem before. Can anyone help?

The pen tool isn't connecting anchor points on new shapes
When I try to create a new shape or path using the pen tool, it keeps creating single anchor points without linking them together. Is there a setting or something turned on that I'm not aware of, or is this a glitch? It's really impacting my work!

Huion Tablet and Windows Ink
I have the last version of Windows 11. Only on illustrator. I have a Huion tablet and the pen only has pressure when windows ink is activated. But as soon as windows ink is activated, it becomes almost impossible to click and drag any object with the pen, enter a group or chose a new tool (but no problem with the trackpad). So i have to chose between being able to work efficiently but drawing without pressure OR drawing with pressure but having debilitating lagging.
Is there a way to keep the pressure activated without activating windows ink ?

Two selection borders around text
There's a second border around a text in my file when I select it. I cannot find why, what it does and how to remove it. When I create new text, it doesn't appear.
1 voteThe object has Text Wrap applied to it. It can be removed with Object > Text Wrap > Release.

Livetracing Bitmaps gives results with random shades of black
Up until recently, if I used the Livetrace and Expand command on a bitmap it would produce results with only pure white and pure black, as you would expect. Now it randomly assigns values to every piece of what should be black. Instead of 100% black they are 99.29% or 99.67%. Normally I would select one piece, select all by color and move it. Now I need to click on every single piece and apply black to them. Very tedious.
2 votesKeith, the team reverted the Image Trace panel back to the more stable version. If you use 27.7 version, you can try to update to Beta, or revert to the older version, or wait until the Beta version will go stable.

Move (Enter) doesn't copy the first time it's selected
When moving using the enter shortcut and hitting copy. It fails the first time and doesn't do anything. but the same input works the second time See attached video.

Text shifts when moving text frames which use Every-line Composer
As per this thread at forums:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/every-line-composer-bug-text-shifts-when-moving-text-frame/m-p/13992952Ai will recalculate justification each time a text frame with Every-line Paragraph Composer is nudged, either with arrow keys or dragging.
Although it’s clearly just moving, and should not trigger recalculation, Ai does it (I can think only of one case when it should happen — when objects with Text Wrap enabled are present and intersecting the the moved object — and they aren’t and don’t).
The text wobbles a bit and it's slow, to recalculate this every time.
Why does it happen? InDesign does not do this.2 votes -
Copying tables from InDesign and only the text pastes in Illustrator
Hello, I used to be able to copy a table I created in InDesign and copy and paste it into Illustrator with all of the formatting being the same. Now when I go to paste a table, all of the table formatting is missing and it's just a big block of text. Please fix this soon as my company does this on a day-to-day basis for our images. I attached an image of what it looks like when I paste the table in Illustrator.
13 votesIllustrator team is working on a fix for this issue. Meanwhile you can use the below workaround to paste the table as it was before.
Before you copy the table in InDesign, create a path object along with table and then copy from InDesign and Paste in Illustrator. This forces the PDF route for copy/paste between ID and AI
