1. Escape Key and Arrows Not Working With Illustrator 2019

   Several keys are not working as intended. The arrow keys do not work at all. The escape key also does not work in certain situations. When creating text, the escape key no longer works to exit out of editing the text.

2. Text in opened SVG is wrong size and outside artboard in v23.1 and v24.0.2

   In newer versions of Illustrator (23.1 and 24.0.2, for example) the text in our SVG files may appear at the wrong size and outside the artboard. This incorrect text commonly appears at the top-left.

   The ZIP file contains a problem SVG, a preview JPG of how it should appear, and any customer-provided files used in the design.

   Also attached are copies of each version's System Info readouts and a screenshot of a problem design open in AI 24.0.2.

3. Shortcut Window doesn't auto close

   When opening Illustrator you are welcomed by the shortcut window showing previous files and most used file creation options etc.

   On Illustrator 24.0.3 and previous iterations when using the shortcut window the file opens as it should but you are left with a blank shortcut window open, which then needs to be closed. I have attached a screenshot.

   I am using an iMac with High Sierra

4. Bug Report: Saving Design Files as PDFs from Illustrator

   When I try to save an Illustrator file as a PDF that I've saved before, Illustrator asks me if I'd like to replace my old file with the new one I'm saving (which is normal). I click okay, and everything looks normal about the save, but Illustrator doesn't actually save over the old file with my new changes, unless I change the name of the file. This seems like a bug. If I ask it to replace my old file upon saving, I really would like it if it did.

5. DRAW Projects can't be shared to Illustrator

   I am posting this as a BUG because I can't believe that this was intentional design--it must be a complete BUG.

   We can share individual drawings from Adobe DRAW to Illustrator, but when you have an entire PROJECT of drawings, the share option is limited to very LOW-resolution images on a web link or sending them to Behance as a portfolio piece.

   You don't want us to share a VERY BAD LOW RESOLUTION drawing to people do you? That can't be intentional.

   And why on earth can't we just send an entire project to our computer for Illustrator? I could just save them in the Creative Cloud files in a folder called Adobe DRAW as individual illustrator files in a folder of the project's name.

   I spent 2 hours last night just opening individual DRAW drawings, sending them to Illustrator and then saving them on my computer. 2 Hours of wasted time, not even being creative, just getting them from my iPad to my Computer. That doesn't make any sense. Why did Adobe make a project in DRAW if you can't do anything with a project? PLEASE FIX THIS.

   You can't have thought this through and intended people to not be able to share a project with themselves...

6. Letter Spacing

   Open Type Letter Spacing doesn’t work properly. If I enable "all caps" the (usually ******) spacing is not applied.

   Thanks for reporting this issue. We are able to reproduce this at our end and the issue is currently under review.

7. Adding Points and deleting point on path does not work after Command Z

   When I make a mistake adding a point or deleting point to a path I usually use COMMAND Z to undo. After the Undo I am not able to add a new point to the path. I get an Alert and it blocks me from adding a new point.

8. illustrator version 24 vector file is too large

   1. Windows 7 Pro - Adobe Illustrator 24.0.2 (2019)

   2. Opening a 2.7 MB Adobe Illustrator 23 (2018) all vector file and saving it.

   3. Expect file size to remain similar or the same

   4. File size of the new version 24.0.2 results in 260 MB

   The file is using Gaussian blur. I suspect it is this. The file attached is the 2.7 MB version 23 file.

   This happens most probably because of the enabled PDF-compatibility option on save, which makes Ai write a PDF copy into the file along with the native Ai format. It helps to other apps to place and use the artwork inside, but it also makes the live raster effects to get rasterized, and it leads to size bloating.

   Untick the 'Create PDF Compatible File' option and the file size will stay at 1-3 MB.

9. missing instances

   I've been working with a png logo and have been copy-pasting it in numerous layers and artboards of my work.

   My AI crashed, so I closed it via task manager. When I restarted AI, my png logo is gone from all the artboards. I can see that there's an "instance" of it (a black square", but the logo isnt registering. Tried to export, and it came out with an artwork without the logo.

   File 08 are the blanks after the crash
   File 10 has the logo that went missing.

10. Can't Delete Anchor Point

    when using the remove anchor tool, if i remove an anchor from a path and then Undo, I can no longer add or remove anchor points to that path. trying to do so gives me the error "Can't delete the anchor point".

11. Reporting error on translation to Spanish

    I want to report a translation error (Spanish version) in the last version of AI that I've installed.I cannot find where to report it in the web, through a form or similar, so I decided to publish it here. I will write it in Spanish because is related to the Spanish version.

13. BUG - Offset path preview remains in artwork even after cancel or tick off preview

    Hi. Since Illustrator 23 I have a very strange bug in the preview of offset path. When I select a shape and select offset path I get the dialog. In the dialog I can set the variables. if I then click ok all is well. But if I check preview I can see what the values I entered will do. So far so good. But then something strange happens. If I change a value I see the result in a preview, but I also see the first preview. The result is even added to the last preview path. And i can keep on doing this and the offset path keeps on growing...

    But it gets even stranger when I click cancel. it does not cancel, it keeps all the previews in the artwork... I need to undo it for every 'preview' I got.

    This makes working with this tool nearly unworkable.

    I included a picture where I only checked and unchecked the preview checkmark a few times...

    Please let me know how to fix this.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

14. RGB black from Indesign translates to CMYK black in Illustrator upon Copy + Paste

    This is a bug and not an idea:

    What I copy RGB black (0,0,0) vector artwork from Indesign to paste into Illustrator, the artwork always pastes in with a value equivalent to CMYK black (0,0,0,100). The copy/pasting is happening from one RGB document to another ("Web" document in Indesign / "RGB" document setup in Illustrator).

15. BUG? CC Color Library: Not Applied or Freezing

    When I select an object and tried to color it from my CC library colrs - it doesn't apply to the shape/font - if I right click on a color in the CC library Panel, the panel freezes for a moment and disappears.

16. An unknown error has occured

    Windows 10, Enterprise

    I was working on a file, and have been saving file regularly in between. But on one artboard when am placing an object, i am not able to save the file. Error pops up. I tried to snip the object and placed it as image still error is popping.
    I tried locking and unlocking layers, no use.
    And if i remove tat from art board, i am able to save. What sort of error is that, am not understanding.
    This is like the file has reached a limit, if we add one more object or image or anything, it wont let me save and error pops up.
    Please help sort this out. I guess am not the only one facing this issue.

17. In Legacy "File New" Interface can't change Name from Untitled-1

    On Illustrator CC 24.1.1 (64bit) on Windows 10 v1909 using the Legacy "File New" interface from the home screen on a fresh launch it is impossible to change the value of the file name. It shows as selected text, yet typing, reselecting, hitting delete and backspace all do nothing to change the text from "Untitled-1".

18. Rendered canvas is completely broken

    MAKE IT WORK!!
    If anyone can tell me why all my illustrator files become corrupted when i open them as in the attached i would be very happy. The problem is also found when trying to draw a simple ellipse or rectangle (it gets filled with jagged junk)! Is this a version problem?? Grrrrrr
