Illustrator only showing one of 3 previously opened docs after crash and no tmp-files - total loss of many hours of work.
Well, well well. So Illustrator crashed (stupid me did believe adobe saying it was more stable after the update some days ago) and after killing via task manager and re-opening it only did show one of the three opened documents. Unfortunately it was only one file I needed to copy and paste an element from and it was not important.
The file I was working on originated in an One Drive folder. Maybe there´s the issue. There should have been any temp-file somewhere, though.
Autosave is on and saving every 2 minutes, default.

Animated zoom happened again! please STOP it being default when some update or restart happens.

Bug of saving in the background of Illustrator 2020
If you save a document that uses a 2-byte spot color name in ai format, place this file in InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
It will be replaced by "Global color". And even if you export the PDF, it will be reflected. Turning off saving in the background can work around this, but this is an issue that should be resolved as soon as possible.127 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

Please Make Adobe App shortcuts compatible with Security/Adware/Antivirus software
I suddenly was seeing the "Space Bar Won't enable Hand Tool" problem that's been a plague for years. A few weeks ago, I installed AdGuard for Safari and Mac. I've been happy with it's ad blocking - but this was the culprit for the problem of the Space Bar not invoking the Hand Too, AND for Command+Space not invoking zoom. I've turned off the helpful ad blocker, and I can use my Adobe Apps (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign were all affected).
After all these years, PLEASE fix these apps so that our computers can remain usable and safe while still having…1 vote -

"Show Hidden Characters" is disabled every time "Export for Screens" is used
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open / create a document with any text
2. On the application menu enable Type -> Show Hidden Characters
3. Next do File -> Export -> Export for Screens
4. Export a file or cancel out, both trigger the issue
5. Notice the Hidden Characters are no longer visible
6. Confirm on the application menu that the feature is disabledHappens on Illustrator 24.0.1 (64 bits), on Windows 10.

[Extendscript] SaveDlg Default Filename Bugged
Hi there,
I'm having some issues with a custom extendscript that we use in our production house. This script is pretty basic, and is meant to make eps / pdf / ai conversion easier (we have some strict EPS settings that must be followed). This script has worked on AiCC (original release) up through CC 2019, but is now behaving oddly in Illustrator 2020.
When you run the script, a custom "Save As" dialog should show up. The filename should default to the current document's name, with .eps set as the filetype suffix. However, when running this script in Illustrator…

Set round corner numerically for multiple corners
When multiple Anchor Points are selected, it would be nice to set the rounding numerically, in stead of by dragging the mouse.
But unfortunately double clicking a Corner Widget let us set the value for only the clicked corner, and not for all selected corners.

Text box can no longer be colored
Mac, v10.14.6
Illustrator 24.0.1When I select a text box, I can no longer assign a color to the box, only to the copy inside the box.

Document Info units do not match Document Setup units
Select a path and open the Document Info panel. See attached image for all the needed details.
Happens on the latest version of Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1).

Notifications appear on bottom of screen
Notifications appear on bottom of screen. I drag them to the center of the screen but the position is not stored.

"In App" tutorials not actually In App
When I click on these tutorials, nothing happens. When I called the help, they said there are only tutorials online.
Why does this screen say "In App Tutorials" if there are only videos online? I'd assume that I could click on a tutorial option and it would walk me through the tutorial, similar to mail merge wizard. Or it would show pop up balloons with instructions on what to do, then I would do it.

Illustrator crashes when adding centre point
on occasion, ai will crash when adding center points. this time it was in wireframe view adding center points to placed PDF's

No search bar in Pantone swatch color books
When I go to search for Pantone colors, or and other colors, there is no search bar at the top of the swatch tool window

Illustrator 24.0.1 lags...
Copy and paste will freeze and take about 5-10sec before i can do anything after copying even on simple files. I have tried every different performance setting combinations. Its really like adobe is just letting more and more problems every time there is a new version released...

27 Spot Colour limit
We cannot record more than 27 spot colors in illustrator. I do a lot of pantone, but I can only record 27. I need to be able to save all colors in the color library.

NOT RESPONDING
The program works fine whenever im doing line work for my portraits but as soon as I highlight it and merge it together the program starts acting really slow and not responding which makes it impossible to work

Incorrect Transform Resizing
When I resize an object in Illustrator by typing the exact number in the dimensions box it reverts it to be slightly off.
For example (Attached images follow my example explanation below):
I have a logo that is 2012.13px wide that I need to be 2000px wide. I should be able to simply type 2000px in the transform width box, but when I do it reverts it to 1999.998px wide. If I type in 2000px again it will stay at 1999.998px. The only way around it that I have found is to change it to something drastically different like 1000px…5 votes
