2. Compound Path Visibility Crash

   Hey y’all. When I have a hidden compound path in a layer and I try to make the path visible again, the app the freezes. This is a bit frustrating and not my art that I created is at a halt due to this bug.

3. Keyboard shortcuts not saving. Unable to change certain keyboard shortcuts.

   Latest updates are not storing keyboard shortcuts or reverting back to default with no way to resolve.

   I changed the CPU/GPU preview shortcut (cmd+E) to something else and set cmd+E to be a shortcut for Expand. It doesn't update in the menu and reverts back after restarting Illustrator. I've tried reinstalling, reseting preferences and deleting my custom keyboard shortcuts and resetting them with no success at keeping the shortcuts as I've set them.

   I should be able to overwrite or change keyboard shortcuts, especially those that aren't used as often and I don't personally see the need to have a keyboard shortcut for previewing on CPU/GPU.

   OS – Big Sur 11.2.3
   Adobe AI - v25.2.3

4. Illustrator 25 extremely slow

   Illustrator 25 (the past several versions; currently running 25.2.3 on two separate Macs) on Mac OS (Big Sur) has been running extremely slowly for me. I've reinstalled the app, reset prefs, removed plugins, removed fonts, etc., unticked "GPU performance," ensured that dictation is disabled at the OS level, and Illustrator is still giving me the beach ball of death for things like selecting items in the menu with a dead-simple file.

   I have downloaded Affinity Designer, but it's not making my socks go up and down — twenty years of Illustrator muscle memory makes it hard to switch. I'm not clear on what's causing Illustrator to lock up so frequently — would love to be able to send a log file to Adobe for analysis, but not clear on how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

5. Home screen user interface not fully loading - looks like script - can't open templates either

   when I open Ai, the home screen UI doesn't seem to be loading correctly or all the way. see image below. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, updated my graphics card (Radeon AMD Vega 64) and made sure windows 10 was up to date. I'm able to open a blank file by clicking on the templates, but if I try to create my own new project, I just get a blank pop-up box.

6. ドロップシャドウを適用したオブジェクトをグレースケールに変換するとシャドウ部分がマスクされてしまう

   macOS10.15.6　Illustrator ver.25.2.3

   再現手順：
   １．長方形を作成し塗りを設定し、「効果→スタイライズ→ドロップシャドウ」を適用する。
   ２．１のオブジェクトを選択した状態で「編集→カラーの編集→グレースケールに変換」を適用する。
   ３．オブジェクトの下に適用されているドロップシャドウ部分がオリジナルの長方形をドロップシャドウパネルの「X軸オフセット・Y軸オフセット」分移動した状態の図形にてマスクされる。
   ４．「分割・拡張」を適用してアピアランスを分割するとマスクされた状態でビットマップに落とされる。

   期待する結果：
   シャドウをクリッピングせずにカラーの変更のみ行う。

   実際の結果：
   シャドウがクリッピングされてしまう。

   以前に報告されていた投稿がありましたが、一部に挙動の誤認があるため、新たにバグ登録を行いました。

7. Paste in Front not pasting on current artboard

   Paste in Front keeps pasting objects back on the original artboard, not on the one I have in focus, or a selected object on. Seems to error randomly, but when it does not work, it blows my productivity.

8. Exported ai files cannot be saved again

   Problem Description:
   When exporting an ai file via script or action, the exported ai file cannot be [Save], [Save As], or [Save a Copy].

   • Specify ILLUSTRATOR11 or lower for compatibility and true for saveMultipleArtboards.
   • This problem does not occur when ILLUSTRATOR12 or higher is specified or saveMultipleArtboards is false.
   • The version of the original ai file is not relevant to the operation.
   • It happens in both ExtendScript and AppleScript.

   Environment:
   • macOS 10.14.6
   • Illustrator CS6(16.2.1)-2021(25.2.3)

   Steps to Reproduce:
   1. Open an appropriate ai file and execute the script in the [Code to execute] section.
   2. Open the exported ai file in Illustrator, edit it in some way, and save it.

   Actual Result:
   Illustrator will not be able to save the document and nothing will happen. The file name displayed in the window is still marked with *. When I close the document, it asks me if I want to save it, but I cannot save it.

   Expected Result:
   The document will be saved.

   Any Workarounds:
   • Save the document manually, without going through any scripts or actions.

9. Mac OS Save As file name highlight bug

   Productivity killing bug in Illustrator 25.2.3, but not Photoshop 22.3.1!:

   Mac OS (Catalina, currently) Save As dialog box highlights the entire file name, including the extension, which has been a bug the past several versions. For over a decade, Save As would not include the extension in the highlight, so one could tap the arrow key once to the end of the file name to change it, to increment a version number for example. This bug has been a huge stumbling block in my productivity.

   Also, in Illustrator, the sometimes Save As does not highlight the file name at all AND the escape key does not dismiss the dialog box. Double bug!

   Here are screen shots of the errors, with Photoshop doing the correct behavior and being the winner:

    スライダー見当たらす。

11. Selection Lag / Delay v.25.2.3 Windows 10

    I have been experiencing delays with Illustrator for some time now. It will lag for a second or so when selecting objects / text. A popup will flash in the top left hand corner of the screen, but it is too brief to identify what the popup is. I have tried screen recording but it's too brief even for that. Last month I did a clean install to see if that solved the problem and it did - but it's gradually come back. Constantly having to restart the system to bring performance back to normal. I find that the AI splash screen takes longer than it used to.. and hangs on loading plugins with lots of popup window activity in the top left of the screen Windows 10 x64; Radeon Pro WX7100. Anyone else experiencing this? Getting fed up of Adobe these past two years TBH.

12. Alt+tap with Rotate or Reflect tool + Wacom tablet makes Illustrator unresponsive

    Trying to open the dialog box for precise Rotate or Reflect settings by Alt+tapping with a stylus on a Wacom tablet makes Illustrator unresponsive for an undetermined period of time.

    The dialog box may eventually open (after 30-90 seconds), but in the meantime, Illustrator cannot be closed, and none of the menus, tools and commands work. The bug only occurs with a stylus, Alt+clicking with a mouse never produces this issue.

    The bug was reported on Adobe Support Community already in 2019 but has not been fixed even in the most recent Illustrator release. It seems to be a problem both on Windows and Mac systems.     I am using Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 with the most up-to-date drivers and have no problems with any other software. I have not confirmed this myself, but others have reported that the bug only occurs when using Illustrator's GPU acceleration.

13. UI Issues with Two Monitor Setup

    When I open Illustrator, sometimes it opens across both of my monitors with ridiculous scaling that causes it to be massive. It takes several full screen corner pulls to get it to a manageable size. Secondly, if I try to do a full screen preview on my second monitor, the whole thing just crashes, without fail, every time, so I am stuck designing on my laptop monitor instead of the secondary monitor.

    Lenovo Think Pad running Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10885H CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz with 32 GB RAM, and NVIDIA RTX 2080 Max-Q on Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2

    I would love to fix these issues.

14. RGB colors appear differently in identical file setup

    I have created color codes in one document and brought them into another (with the exact same RGB setup) and the color breakdowns change to look the same. This is a problem because if I am sharing the RGB breakdowns with others, some of the colors appear much duller. I have noticed that something changes when an image is brought in from an external source sometimes. This is becoming a big issue across our team.

15. My brush and pencil settings wont stay selected

    Whenever I select the options for my pencil or brush tool, e.g. uniform + basic, the menu changes to a default unwanted option, or gets stuck on one previously used. My paintbrush or blob brush tool does the same thing but goes further. It does not show the path or shape I'm drawing until after I've released the left click key or pen pressure.

16. Stop rasterizing the gradient on an object when expanding its appearance

    When you expand the appearance of an object with a gradient, the gradient is rasterized, which I believe, defeats the purpose of using it considering the results. The resulting image has a lot of erroneous White specs. If there is a stroke aligned to the center, it creates two layers with the same gradient, which means you have to unite them with pathfinder. A layer that's shaped the same as the rasterized object with the gradient is the color gray.

    The workaround is to apply a solid color, then expand, then reapply the gradient, but it took me some time to realize that would solve the problem. It would be better for Illustrator to be more direct and simply not rasterize the gradient when expanding appearance.

17. gpu animated zoom ramdomly disables after 25.0.1 update (25.2.1)

    Last tried with illustrator version 25.2.1

    Using animated zoom – gpu enabled – illustrator randomly switches to cpu while working on illustrator PDFs
    Does not occur while working in a .ai file, only PDF.

    Interim Solution: downgrade to 25.0 – animated zoom works fine using 25.0, but now randomly crashes from time to time …

18. Eyedropper creates buggy hidden/invisible/non-existent appearances on text objects

    This bug only seems to work on Windows.
    Illustrator version: 25.2.1

    Creating a default text object, selecting it, then clicking on it with the eyedropper tool creates an invisible/pseudo-existing appearance on the text. This is evident in that going to the top menu shows that Object > Expand... is greyed out while Object > Expand Appearance is not. You can also see in the Layers panel that the text object has its selection circle filled with grey, indicating that it has an appearance. Yet checking the Appearance panel shows that there is no appearance at all (except whatever is the default).

    This apparent bug may or may not be limited to text objects. Although creating a path object and clicking on a default text object with the eyedropper tool shows that the bug occurs since a pseudo-existing appearance will appear on the path object. So something seems to be going on with text objects specifically at least.

19. "What's new" reminder will not stop appearing every time I start Illustrator.

    the 'see what's new' reminder in the upper right will not stop appearing every time I start Illustrator. Deleting preferences doesn't help. Clicking remind later is getting to be annoying.

20. Colors Being Displayed Differently than in Color Picker

    I just decided to update to AI 2021, bad idea... I was working on a file and I realized that the color had changed from the original dark blue to a purple color. I do not know what happened, but I know it must have to do with the update because it happened right after this.
