  1. Accent changes fonts

    When we use Variable Concepr Fonts if I write text that contain letters with accents, the style of the typography changes. It's quite annoying.

  2. Retype does not work at all in Czech version of Illustrator CC 2024 (28.0)

    The Retype function does not work at all on Windows 10. All attempts end with the message Selection not recognized. It doesn't matter if it's a vector, a bitmap. It doesn't recognize anything. Not even Hello in Helvetica.
    On MacOS 13.4.1 the app displays possible similar fonts but you can’t select them, download them, nothing. Dead end.

  3. Can't change the color of a gradient stop to an existing swatch

    Most infuriating Gradient Swatch forever bug. This bug has been persistent through the past several updates and I don't understand why Adobe is ignoring such an infuriating bug that should not be that hard to correct. Click on the gradient stop and select a swatch from the popup swatches palette and no effect.

  4. Page ruler covers contextual task bar

    The default position for Contextual Task Bar is on top left corner of the page and when the ruler is on top half of the bar is covered by ruler. The user must relocate the bar to use it properly...

  5. v27.8.1 - Random files having images corrupted upon file save

    Mac OS 13.5.1 / Illustrator 27.8.1 / Apple Studio M1 Max

    After updating from 27.7 > 27.8.1 files saved in native .ai format (pdf compatibility) with embedded images are randomly becoming corrupted (does not happen to all documents). The files will open up in illustrator just fine, and appear normal, but the image preview and rasterizing into photoshop will show the included images with blank white space, or areas of garbled distortion.   6. Image Trace panel becomes empty when docked

    with the new update, image trace is not working properly. it keeps on being empty . and you can only choose from the options from above not in the window . then i have to always restart illustrator and close the tab of it and reclick the image trace tab for it to show temporarily because when you do an image trace then click on "advance" it will again be blank! no options just grey

    Procedure to replicate bug : Open “ImportFileInside.ai” on Mac studio M1 (apple silicon) machine and change the links inside from “FileLowDPI.ai” file to “FileHighDPI.ai” file. It doesn’t work and show an error message but works on Intel based Macs.

  8. Unknown error when placing PDF in illustrator

    An unknown error occurs when placing PDF files into Illustrator. This appears to be an M1 issues as it does not occur on the Intel platforms or when I launch the Intel version on the M1 System.

  9. Share for review don't show the correct link for the file

    1. I shared for review a number of files, each time creating a new link for each file
    2. Now when I open the files and click share it doesn't show the correct link for that file and I can't update the link.

  11. Free transform tool groups selected layers to one layer

    When selecting several Layers and using the Free Transform Tool, Illustrator moves all these layers to 1 single layer.
    I guess this is a bug or am I doing something wrong?

  12. クラウドドキュメントで文字スタイルを削除した後開き直すと削除した文字スタイルが表示される

    環境
    macOS 12.6.3
    Illustrator 26.5.2 および 27.3.1

    再現方法
    1. 新規書類を作成し文字スタイルを作成しクラウドドキュメントとして保存する。
    2. 1で作成した文字スタイルを削除してドキュメントを閉じる。
    3. 閉じたクラウドドキュメントを開くと削除したはずの文字スタイルが表示される

    ただし1で作成したクラウドドキュメントを開きその文字スタイルを編集したり新たな文字スタイルを追加した後に削除した場合はそのクラウドドキュメントを開き直しても削除した文字スタイルは表示されませんでした。

    クラウドドキュメントのみで発生する事象でコンピュータに保存したドキュメントでは発生しないことを確認しています。

  13. Illustrator suddenly switching to CPU preview, GPU preview greyed out

    My little research has shown that the preview mode changes when zooming if the cmyk document contains cmyk images. In a cmyk document with rgb images or an rgb document with rgb/cmyk images, there is no gpu to cpu preview switching when zooming. To reproduce the bug, the document must include multiple images in order to impact performance during scaling. My system: i5 8400, 32 Gb, GTX1650 with latest Studio Driver installed, Asus PA329C, windows 11 Build 22621.1265, Illustrator 27.3.1 Here's what it looks like on my system.

  14. Illustrator crashes when you change document color mode from RGB to CMYK and from CMYK to RGB

    Illustrator crashes when you change a document color mode from RGB to CMYK, if the file was created in RGB and contains vector objects. If the file was created as CMYK and you try to change it to RGB, Illustrator crashes too.

    1. MacOS Ventura 13.1
    2. Illustrator 27.2
    3. Explained in the problem description
    4. Expected result - change color mode of the document. Actual result - application crashes.

  15. Rendering complicated files on MAC requires CPU rather than GPU

    Something is wrong with GPU rendering.

    My old iMac (27" 2016) used to have rendering issues with larger/complicated files. For example, using the HAND tool and moving around, sections would not render/refresh.
    I thought, well it's an old machine the GPU must be dying.

    Then i got a new MacBook M1 MAX with 64GB Memory.

    And I still often see rendering issues and need to switch to CPU.

  16. Illustrator 2023 performance issues in Windows 11

    This performance issue often occurs when I open Illustrator and Photoshop at the same time, making my PC perform extremely slow and lagging. it's enough to make me feel annoyed while working.

    I've tried reinstalling Illustrator and Photoshop, changing the graphics performance for the Illustrator & Photoshop app to "High Performance", updating the latest GPU driver, cleaning temporary files, updating windows to the latest stable 2H22 version. but the result is that the performance issue is still not fixed.

  17. Objects are rasterized when pasted from the buffer history

    When I paste a vector object from the history of the clipboard it is pasted as a raster object. This bug is contained in versions 27.1.1 and 27.2 (Beta)

    I use the program for Clipboard Manager "Unclutter".

    Because of this bug, it is impossible to use the program normally
    No such bug is observed in Illustrator 26

  18. When checking spelling, Illustrator does not move to the selected area of the page making it harder to see the "error" in context.

    Have the viewable are move to the offending spelling like it does with InDesign.

  19. Dashed lines changing style when exporting to SVG

    The latest update to AI has caused this issue. When exporting an svg with dashed lines, the svg's dashed lines either disappear or become dotted lines.

    Operating System: Windows 10 Enterprise
    Adobe Illustrator version: 27.0
    Steps:
    1) Open Adobe Illustrator
    2) Create a new file
    3) Draw a line
    4) Open the properties window by going to Window > Properties
    5) Click on the Stroke option
    6) Check "Dashed Line" on
    7) Set the first "dash" to 10
    8) Make sure the rest of the "gap" and "dash" options are blank
    9) Go to File > Export > Export As…

  20. On Opening, Illustrator can't read linked files and adds multiple copies of linked images

    On some files, on open, I receive an error regarding linked images and when trying to resolve, Illustrator adds multiple copies of the same linked image without actually fixing the original images. It'll add linked images into locked layers where there were no images.

    This started in version 26.4.1 and have tested with uninstalling newer versions, opening the same files on older versions, and installing newer versions until the issue appears.

    Screenshots attached where it shows it adding in linked images, even on layers that were locked and had no images on save.
