  2. Flickering cursor & preview bugs in bitmap

    Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 (22.0.1)
    Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6

The cursor constantly flickers about a month ago when I was still using AI CC 2017 version. After I updated the CC to the latest version yesterday, the problem still occurred.

Besides, when I import a bitmap/ tiff file to AI, the whole image cannot be viewed. Some parts are hidden. It has the same issue when i export the AI file to jpg.

  3. Zoom to Selection Doesn't Work within Text

When I zoom in on Illustrator CC (21.1.0) it works great, zooming in on the object I have selected. The problem occurs when I have a bit of text within a larger textbox selected. When I zoom in, instead of centering around the object, it zooms in on the center of my screen, often putting the selected type out of sight.

(If I have the textbox itself selected, it's fine. It's just if I'm using the type tool to select and edit type.)

  4. Jagged Edges on Vector objects

I've tried just about everything I can think of, but no matter what I do my vector objects are showing jagged edges, almost like I've used a brush preset, but I haven't. It's extremely distracting, please help!

  6. Refresh problems in Trim View - Illustrator 24.0

I'm not sure this is exclusive to GPU, but in Trim View sometimes when working with content, it stops refreshing properly and causing anomalies on screen

  9. GPU Preview displaying hidden shapes

In GPU Preview, turning off the visibility of a shape in the layers panel doesn't always hide the shape - it still remains on screen.
If I switch to Outline view the shape is hidden correctly.
If I switch back to GPU Preview the shape is still being displayed.
I have to reboot Illustrator to get GPU Preview to work correctly again.
And then it goes wrong again very soon afterwards.

This has now happened several times.
I've also had shape fills showing as incorrect colors in GPU Preview, eg. a square with a white fill, suddenly started displaying as…

  10. Pixelated/low Anti Aliasing problem with curved paths

Not really a GPU bug since it also happens with GPU turned off. But as you can see on the attachment, whenever I draw a curved path in Illustrator it turns out very pixelated/low Anti Aliasing.

  11. Slow response time

I have been using a my 2014 Macbook Pro with no problems using Adobe Illustrator. However I recently switched over to a PC i7-6850K CPU and two EVGA 1080 GFX cards. And I find that when I use AI after about 1 hour it starts to seriously lag... getting worse as time goes on. The only way I have been able to temporarily resolve this is to close AI entirely and then re-open the program.

  13. Guides will disappear while dragging with "draw in real time" option feature activated!

Thhis is NO idea. It's a BUG!

    Illustrator CC 24.1.2

Guide line will disappear with "drawing in real time" option in preferences activated while one will drag it. Deactivating this great , new "feature" will make it work again.

So the new SUPER DUPER feature is just as buggy as the whole software, still.

  14. Fill Glitches when Previewing with the GPU

I work for a printing company, and we see this sort of glitch a lot. We also see it in the same design over multiple different systems so this must be an Illustrator issue rather than a compatibility problem with our graphics cards.

When rendering with the GPU, fill colors will extend out past the shape bounds. When we switch to render with the CPU, the glitch disappears. See the example attached.

This is a problem for us. We are losing production time because our printers on the floor see this and assume its an error with the artwork and…

  15. multi-GPU setups cause Illustrator to glitch out and become unresponsive

I've got a two-GPU computer. If I'm using GPU preview mode, after working for a while (around 20-30 mins or more), the entire Illustrator UI will glitch out and become very artifact-y and unresponsive, and I can no longer work on the files I've got open, necessitating a restart of the app.

This started happening right after I upgraded from one GPU to two, about a year ago. It happens only in GPU preview mode, not CPU. I've tried updating GPU drivers, updating Illustrator itself--nothing fixes the problem. I've seen other people online with multi-GPU setups say the same thing…

  17. GPU Issue in Touch Mode on Surface Pro (2017)

    Hello,
I have been having a repeated issue with Illustrator leaving checkerboard artifacts onscreen when drawing in Touch Mode on my Surface Pro. After drawing for a while, Illustrator will crash. I've included a clip displaying the artifacts I'm talking about.

A related issue happens at random when drawing, where the outline will display in red while I'm drawing it, then the line won't actually get drawn. Sometimes when selecting or scaling objects they will similarly display the scale happening, but then nothing actually happens. Usually Illustrator crashes after that.

  18. GPU Stroke Rendering Issue

OS: macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Build 17G5019
    2 x Xeon E5-2690 v4 CPUs (don't ask ;) )
    64 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8191 MB
    GPU Driver Version: 387.10.10.10.40.122
    CUDA Driver Version: 418.105

Hi, I noticed a small rendering issue with strokes in GPU mode. The boundaries seem to be somewhat inaccurate, to the point that in certain situations (regardless of whether or not they're joined and by any method), suck as a tee shape, a small bulge of one stroke can appear beyond the edge of another, even though they shouldn't.

See attached pictures, the problem area is…

  20. Getting odd artifacting when using GPU preview on illustrator

Shapes look as if they arent inline with each other when using GPU preview, CPU preview fixes the issue but of course I shouldnt have to be running it on CPU preview. The jaggies seem to stem from where there are anchor points, but not every anchor point.

Using Intel i5 6500 CPU with an RX480 8gb GPU
