Missing Layers
Opened my document this morning and all the correct layers were there, closed out because I made no changes so there was nothing to save. reopened my document again all my layers were gone! only showing the orginal base image. Help

Illustrator 'unexpected' quitting
Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 quit unexpectedly while launching or working in between very often for many iMacs. Please help me to resolve this.

MAC: System has run out of memory and force quits - Activity Monitor shows > 100GB
After launching Illustrator it will force quit with an error message "your system has run out of application memory." I have 8GB of memory and no other applications are open or running when I launch Illustrator. I am noticing in the activity monitor that illustrator is using a large amount of memory, extremely higher that usual. This started happening a few days ago and I have no changes to my OS or updates to Illustrator CC

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

I do have one suggestion – please reset preferences and try again. Found the following in your crash report.

The software is glitching and refusing to open certain Illustrator files.
I have to quit and open the software multiple times before I can get one file to open in this latest update.

Saved file as PDF after editing (another name)

TorqExtension.aip error
When opening Illustrator CC, I get this error on launch:
"The procedure entry point ?getAvailableLocales@Collator@icu@@SAPEBVLocale@2@AEAH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library icui18n.dll."
This is followed by an error:
"Error loading plugins.
TorqExtension.aip"Please advise how to resolve these errors..

Illustrator File opens to Work/Learn Screen
I have Illustrator CC and after the most recent update, almost every time I open a file in Illustrator after turning on my computer, it opens the file but the Work/Learn screen is still up.
I can see my file's layers in the layers panel in the bottom right corner but the screen doesn't show it. I can click around and it's saying I'm selecting things but I can't get the Work/Learn screen off so I have to restart Illustrator over and over again until I can get it to work.

AI displays the START SCREEN on opening the file and the document view do not switches (refreshes) the file content.

When trying to open an existing file while Illustrator is closed, the software will lag and then hang on the opening screen. The file appears to be opened in the background, but there's no way to access or see it. The opening screen will give options to open additional files or create a new one (as usual) but when trying to do either, nothing will open and no New File Options menu will appear.
Everything will work normally only if I open Illustrator first and then the file.

What we have found out so far is that this issue can happen in multiple workflows. For clear tracking, validation and closure. We will closing this thread for given below two scenarios which we believe are fixed now:
1)Double click any Ai file to launch Illustrator
2)Placing files in Illustrator via Bridge.For two other scenarios that we know of that can cause this, we have created a separate thread :https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/39220189-ai-displays-the-start-screen-on-opening-the-file-a .If you are encountering the below mentioned issues with latest Version (24.0.1 on Mac and Win), then please vote on newly provided User voice thread and provide Test File via File→Package, Video and steps via dropping email at sharewithai@adobe.com along with this thread link so that we can identify and fix the root cause.

Create new doesn't work
when I try and create a new document nothing happens. I can open up templates but can't create new stuff.

New document causes crash
When starting a new document, the first thing that Illustrator does is crash. Doesn't matter what the size of the document is.

Installation Failure
When I downloaded Adobe on my Asus Computer, it will load Illustrator and then after a small time period. I will receive the message saying that there was an installation failure. It will also say something such as "Error Code P204".

LAUNCH ERROR ISSUE - Google Drive File Stream
Drive File Stream interfere with Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 on Windows 7 SP1 x64 bit.
After installing Google Drive File Stream I get lunch error during Adobe Illustrator CC 2018 (icui18n.dll) and program runs with limited functionality.
When uninstalling the google drive file stream everything works just fine.
I shared the same issue with the drive file stream, so i just hope that it will not end up pointing fault one on another. Both applications are important to workflow.

AI CC 2018 cannot launch
Hello,
When I want to start illustrator, a first error message appears: (aip.png on attachment)
After clicking on "next",
a second message appears twice and then asks me to send an error report to Adobe. (impossible ai.png on attachment)I managed to run AI CC 2018 in safe mode but it lacks a lot of things like the toolbar. what should I do?

High Sierra disables Illustrator
Since updating to High Sierra last week every time I go to open Illustrator the spinning wheel appears and is never resolved. I chatted with support last week and was told I needed to contact Apple as it's a compatibility issue. They were also not able to help.

Startup performance
Illustrator has always been sluggish on startup, but 27 seconds on a recent SSD MBP is totally unacceptable IMO.
Thoughts anyone?
By comparison PS is ready to go in 7sec.
Standard install CC 2018 / Il 22 on MacOS 10.13.1

Error message while launching Illustrator CC 2018
This message in German occurs while launching Illustrator 2018. After saying OK, a fragmentary Applikation displays, which is not operational. It is completely buggy and blocks even Finder until it is being quit.
"This process can't be completed, because an unknown message has occurred. [CANT]"
