1. Pantone Connect

   Hi there,

   When trying to load the Pantone Connect Extension I see a black window instead of the swatches and other features of the extension. The only message I see is a purple link that says “reload plugin” which has no effect when I click on it. This was the case for the 2020 version when I tried it today, so I updated all my apps, thinking this might help. However, the same error occurs with the 2021 versions of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign. When I last used the extension in summer last year, it worked great… has there been a change in the meantime? Am I doing something wrong?

2. System compatibility report

   Windows 10
   Adobe Illustrator 25.2

   While launching Adobe Illustrator, a window appears warning of an unsupported video driver although the exported report (txt-file) does not show any problem. All drivers are up-to-date.

   Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

3. adobe color theme

   Not showing complete screen. It cuts off at the edges of it. doesn't work effectively.

4. Kerning not working between first two characters of any word

   No matter what I do, I can't adjust the kerning between the first two characters of any word in illustrator. The rest of the word can be spaced just fine, just not between the the first two letters. Please help, this is sort of an essential duty of this software.

5. Select Next Object Below

   Running Windows 10 (64-bit) and the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. The bug I am experiencing is the shortcut to Select Next Object Below (Alt+Ctrl+[) is not working properly. Neither is the Select Next Object Above, nothing new is selected when I press the buttons, it remains on my already selected layer which is neither the top most or bottom most.

6. Can't place circle or square in middle of other circle or square.

   On circle tool.
   1) Draw a circle
   2) Go to the middle of the circle to draw another cirlce.
   3) It does not let me. (Changes to some selection tool)

   This did not used to happen in older versions of illustrator. When it changed I just lived with it, but working on a file now where I have to create a bunch of objects in middle of other objects and its driving me mad. Anyway to revert it back to the way it used to be? (probably worked fine in about 2010)

7. Your software keeps crashing

   With every new release your software becomes more unstable and unusable. There are alternatives out there that are way more inexpensive and soon might be better. And if you don't thinks giants can't fall. look around you.

8. art brush direction

   I created a new art brush. When applied to a stroke it rotates 90 degrees. The same bug was reported by another user in July 2020. How many months will it take to fix this?

9. Instead of adding features, fix what's already broken and been ignored.

   Since the launch of V25 ( 2021 )

   -The Surface Dial does not work
   -The properties panel is all screwed up when trying to select a number in a field.. you cannot just change one digit
   -The shear panel does not remember the angle applied anymore.
   -Scaling with multiple monitors is none existent. ( use the resolution from the monitor Ai is open in , NOT from the display set as main.. Apply the smart scaling like you did with Photoshop )

10. Locked Layers No Longer Safe?

    I have the lock icon turned on, pull up Blob Brush or Text or any other tool, locked layers below still active. HELP!!
    Layers also active when I turn them off completely (no eye icon).
    Really need help, slowing down workflow a lot

11. Illustrator 2021 (25.1.0) slows, freezes, crashes every 1-3 hours.

    I have tried to use Illustrator 25.1.0 on 3 different laptops, ALL instances resulted in the same problem. The application will perform normally for a while, then at some point, typically between 1-3 hours of constant use, the function you are asking for via mouse input will freeze. (examples: moving a text box or shape, highlighting text, etc.) Sometimes the freeze will be preceded by a slight slow down in responsiveness. Once there is a freeze, the menu pull downs are inoperable too, so you can't ask it to save. When it freezes, a recovery file may or may not be generated. The freeze will often require task manager to end. This same type of freeze was happening to me with previous AI versions on laptop #1 dating back to 2018. Recently, which may have coincided with August 2020 release (version 24.3) or October 2020 release (version 25.0), the chronic crashing problem on laptop#1 seemed to be alleviated and I was so relieved that problem might have been fixed after 2+ years of suffering through loosing my work ALL THE TIME and having NO resolution via technical support. However, once January 25.1.0 was updated, the pattern of crashes started again, at which point I started investigating the issue in other laptops. The files I have been testing are lines only, with no effects, and no digital images. 25MB. No art pens installed for any of the laptops.

12. Bug d'affichage

14. Making an Envelope Distort with mesh using an image limits the number of nodes

    I have been using the envelope distort feature (make with mesh) for a few years without any issues. It normally works exactly as I need it to. However, there now seems to be a problem...

    What I normally do is I embed an image (usually a tiff) into the illustrator file. Then Object > Envelope Distort > Make with mesh. Then I input the number of rows and columns I would like to use and distort as necessary. The number of rows and columns is normally not an issue. But now for some reason I am limited in the number nodes I can use — a limit only discovered by trial and error depending on the raster I am manipulating.

    I have opened old projects where I have done the same thing and the original mesh is working fine. However, when I try to reproduce the mesh from scratch it doesn't work. Even stranger is that I have imported a working mesh from an old project and applied it to the new raster in the new project and it distorts it even though the number of nodes is higher than the limit I came to by trial and error! But when I go to manipulate the imported mesh it doesn't work again.

    I have tried the following:
    - Changing the raster file type
    - Using older versions of Illustrator
    - Creating meshes on different simple objects and attaching to the raster
    - Uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator
    - Increasing hard drive space for virtual RAM

    My system never had any problems handling this process before - I use an SSD and 16 GB RAM with and intel i7 processor - which should be plenty of processing power for the job.

    Any help would be very much appreciated

15. Expand and Expand Appearance Greyed out since update

    My 'Expand" And "Expand Appearance" has been greyed out ever since the recent updates. Its like this with every file of mine. They are NOT on locked artboards, they are all expandable files and I tried changing color settings and importing different file types, to see if that would fix it but nothing changed, everything is still greyed out.

16. Unit increments for Large canvas documents have fractions

    Since the introduction of the large canvas sizes (which is awesome, by the way) I have been noticing that my increments of measure particularly in type and keyboard increments within the preferences have been scaling down to microscopic numbers when I change from feet to inches or points. I then get these odd numbers when scaling type with the keyboard shortcuts.

17. Fehler bei Dateisicherung auf Netzlaufwerk

    mit Adobe Illustrator 2020 konnt ich ältere Dateien nicht richtig im Netzlaufwerk speichern. Es hat ständig eine tmp. Datei erstellt und die Originaldatei hat sich nicht geändert.

    Ältere Dateien konnte ich mit Illustrator 2019 auf dem Netzlaufwerk bearbeiten und speichern ohne Probleme.

18. paths missing in export

    When exporting a vector image, some of the paths in my pattern fill are disappearing. It's weird because on the export panel it shows up fine, but when actually exported the paths are missing.

19. Removed a middle anchor, then an infinite long "handle line" caused the file and the recovery file to crash AI

    I placed a line with 3 anchors, removed the middle anchor.
    Then AI created automatically an infinite long handle from one of the remaining anchor points.
    I coudln´t save the file, it crashed immediately and the recover file got the same bug, so I couldn´t even save the recovery file. the whole infected file is lost completely. (I lost 6 hours of work because of this bug).

    I did that and AI created an automatic infinite long anchor point handle

20. AI2Key plugin not showing when exporting

    Using Mac OS Big Sur 11.2, on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014), 4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4 GB

    The option to export Illustrator files to Keynote files: File > Export > Export as... doesn't show the Keynote file Option any more. I am using the plugin created by Christian Holz – @cholz – for over 5 years but it doesn't show up since the last updated of Illustrator a couple of weeks ago and it last update v.25.1 from yesterday didn't fix it. Will it be possible to fix that? As a work around I also installed in my computer the previous version of Illustrator v24.3 that, so far, recognizes the plug in and works perfectly.
