Artboard > Fit to Artwork Bounds with clipping mask and raster effects
Resizing an artboard with Artboard Options -> Preset -> Fit to Artwork Bounds doesn't honor clipping masks or raster effects. The new artboard size includes artwork hidden by clipping mask, and excludes raster effects such as drop shadows.
2 votesIllustrator now honors raster effects such as clipped shadows, and fits to clipping masks instead of their clipped content, when using Fit to Artwork Bounds or Fit to Selected Art commands.
However, there is no option to not do that, and to ignore Use Preview Bounds option in general — the fitting always uses strokes. user interface does not hold settings of brightness

double rulers
I've isolated exactly when this occurs. If I use the preflight panel, then go into overprint preview mode, it happens when I exit overprint preview mode in the preflight panel. At that point, the top ruler becomes two rulers. It happens maybe 70% of the time. Furthermore, when this happens, the cursor becomes offset by the same size as the lower ruler. The cursor is off by something like 3/4 inch. It's easy to resolve it. Control/Y and Control/Y again and it resolves, but it keeps coming back. This only happens on my Mac which is from around 2014. Import error when trying to export Illustrator settings
When attempting to export my Illustrator Settings (My Settings -> Export Settings...) to a file for backup I receive the error message "An error occurred. Settings were not imported."

Editing Pattern Swatch + Saving = Crash (unsaved, unrecovered)
After creating a new pattern swatch with about a dozen objects, I double click the swatch to change the pattern settings. Either of the following scenarios cause Illustrator to crash EVERY TIME, using ANY of the last 3 versions of Illustrator:
— hitting Command+S to exit pattern editor while saving
— double clicking to exit, and then hitting Command+S at any point afterwardsTLDR; hitting Command+S anytime AFTER editing a pattern swatch is crashing Illustrator
I've replicated this issue about 2 dozen times now across all 3 most recent builds of Illustrator available through CC.

Missing options panel for Object > Path > Simplify
I am missing an Options Panel for Object > Path > Simplify. Illustrator chooses a random simplification and automatically applies. MacBook Pro, OS Catalina, Illustrator 24.0.3

Constant Random Crashing
Adobe Illustrator CC 2020; A coworker and I are coming across the same issue where our Illustrator is consistently crashing almost every hour or so throughout the day, seemingly at random. It will happen when trying to select/move an object, when trying to save, when clicking on another window, when clicking on a dropdown, and even when the machine is just sitting here doing nothing on my lunch breaks, it's not a question of if it will crash, it's when.

Print size and arrows on lines
When changing the direction of the arrow on a line, Print preview will switch to A4 even if the parameter has previously been set as A3.

Replacing file doesn’t work
When I edit the file, then choose to replace the original one, the previous one hasn't been successfully replaced. When I open it, it still the last version.

24.0.3 pencil tool is laggy and glitchy
I updated to 24.0.3 a few days ago and my pencil tool has been really fiddly ever since, with a lot of skipping of the first fraction of a second of a new stroke, and a certain amount of picking up my motions after I lift the stylus up, as well. If I undo and draw the same shape again at about half the speed, I get the shape I expect, but this really isn't sustainable in the long run for a workflow based around lots of fast Pencil tool shapes!

Text in opened SVG is wrong size and outside artboard in v23.1 and v24.0.2
In newer versions of Illustrator (23.1 and 24.0.2, for example) the text in our SVG files may appear at the wrong size and outside the artboard. This incorrect text commonly appears at the top-left.
The ZIP file contains a problem SVG, a preview JPG of how it should appear, and any customer-provided files used in the design.
Also attached are copies of each version's System Info readouts and a screenshot of a problem design open in AI 24.0.2.

Shortcut Window doesn't auto close
When opening Illustrator you are welcomed by the shortcut window showing previous files and most used file creation options etc.
On Illustrator 24.0.3 and previous iterations when using the shortcut window the file opens as it should but you are left with a blank shortcut window open, which then needs to be closed. I have attached a screenshot.

Free Transform tool and bounding box don't work with guides
Sometimes you want to scale a guide by dragging.
But bounding box doesn't show up when guide is selected and Free Transform tool stays in forever 'turn' mode.Don't you say me it is as intended. Just don't.

Bug Report: Saving Design Files as PDFs from Illustrator
When I try to save an Illustrator file as a PDF that I've saved before, Illustrator asks me if I'd like to replace my old file with the new one I'm saving (which is normal). I click okay, and everything looks normal about the save, but Illustrator doesn't actually save over the old file with my new changes, unless I change the name of the file. This seems like a bug. If I ask it to replace my old file upon saving, I really would like it if it did.

Character Information in Properties Panel not appearing
When I click on any text the Character information in the properties panel immediately disappears. The character information is only visible before I click with the Text tool. This is making it REALLY difficult to work with text.

Adding Points and deleting point on path does not work after Command Z
When I make a mistake adding a point or deleting point to a path I usually use COMMAND Z to undo. After the Undo I am not able to add a new point to the path. I get an Alert and it blocks me from adding a new point.
