Copying hires 1-bit tiff takes to much time
I have a document where I copy a hires 1-bit tiff.
Then Illustrator just beachballs.
This happens in the latest version of Illustrator CC 2017.
I am on macOS 10.12.6 and have attached the file in question.1 vote -
Clicking in Actions Window Crashes
Often times when I click anywhere in the Actions window, Illustrator will crash and close abruptly. No edits made to Actions are saved since the previous open. Makes using Actions like walking through a mine field.

Error 16 Reinstall Software? (AI 2017.1.0 - 21.1.0 - MacOS 10.12.6)
On a MacBook Pro (Retina 15in Mid 2014) if I open up and use Mail and Safari first then open up Illustrator or Photoshop I often get Error 16 which insists I uninstall and reinstall the Illustrator program. However, if I shut down or restart my computer, the program opens up just fine without reinstalling it.
Why do I get this error message?
Is there anything I can do to stop getting it?

Illustrator Freezes + This Website Broken
So I open an .ai in the latest version of Illustrator, everything works. I open another .ai file, everything freezes / stops working. I need to use Task Manager to close Illustrator. I reinstalled it, same issue.
Regarding the website, when I click in Illustrator to submit a bug, it sends me to https://illustrator.uservoice.com/ where the 'Bug' button does not do anything. Are you for real, Adobe?!?!

AI CC for Mac open DWG files, found bug!
- AI version: AI CC all versions;
- We found a bug when open DWG files by AI CC for MAC; but it is fine when it work by Windows system.

Crazy jibberish at various zooms

Swatch border line problem.
AI 21.1.0 (64bit) Windows 10, macOS Sierra
When I apply custom bitmap swatch at object, unexpected border line display (it occurrs even in default vector swatch).

100% black will not output to film as 100%
Came across this same issue now using CC 2017 but was able to isolate it. Customer file in CMYK color space, black at 100% nothing in the document except a 100% black rectangle. Illustrator reports 100% black but when output to film black is approximately 80%. Copying the entire content to a new document the output is at 100%. Using the original document and changing the color panel to grey scale black is 100%. Changing back to CMYK black is also 100% black. Placing the file into another dicument also produces 100% black. The latest file was created in CS6…

I tried 300/4, which resulted in 0.04. Should be 75.

Black shapes when trying to group things
When I try to group text objects and lines, the screen gets black shapes that come up. It happens every time, and even if I close the file and reopen it, it continues to happen.

Demo version of Illustrator crashes constantly, destroying files.
Illustrator CC 21.1.0 (trial), MacBook Pro13,3 (15" with touch bar), macOS Sierra 10.12.3. It seems to happen mostly when editing colors or character/paragraph styles, but honestly it's hard to say, because it's seemingly random. I'd be happy to attach a copy of the file I was working on, but every version is gone now, even ones that were saved between crashes with different file names. You should have several crash reports via Apple, I hope. I can also upload console logs if needed, but I didn't find a folder for Illustrator.

TIFF's generate Color Management Error in MacOS High Sierra.
When in macOS Sierra I can drag or import any TIFF without any issues or errors. My colors on screen are rich and vibrant and darker.
When in MacOS High Sierra I do the same thing I get a Color Management Error, and all my colors are faded and lighter.

Illustrator will not open file
I was working on an illustration and Illustrator locked up, kicked me out and when I went back in it said it could not open my file.

pathfinder, file sizes, interface changes

Pathfinder does not function properly in Illustrator CC 2017 on my 4 ghz i7 (late 2015) imac. OSX 10.11.16; AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB, forcing me to fall back and work in old Illustrator CS6.When I divide two shapes or paths (particularly curves, ellipes etc), the anchor points sometimes move, and paths (curves, angles etc) change. Very sloppy, "kind-of, sort-of" results, with an absolute lack or precision.
CS6 and earlier versions did not have this problem. It is intermittent and unpredictable, but troublesome enough as to render CC 2017 unusable and made me…

which isn't helpful at all if you're trying to read the user guide in any meaningful way. Of course I can google ways to use the gradient tools but I came to you for the definitive "adobe prescribed" version of information as a way to prepare for your ACE exams. Your recent Free template "Old Jazz and Blues" obviously is a poor design because the text on line pieces are not concentric, which presumably is what the artist intended. This free template is consequently quite useless for a professional designer.
