1. Custom Colors convert to CMYK automatically, when we set "Effect->Blur->Gaussian Blur".

   When we apply Effect->Blur->Gaussian blur an object with a custom color, it will be converted to CMYK color in overprint preview mode.
   Also, when we export PDF, it will convert to CMYK.

   Illustrator ver.24.2
   OSX 10.13.6

   The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues
   1. To make pathItems that colored Custom color.
   2. Select it and apply Effect->Blur->Gaussian Blur.
   3. Open Separation preview panel and check Overprint preview.
   4. Custom color objects seem to convert to CMYK.
   5. To export it to PDF, the custom color will discard and convert to CMYK.

   Your expected result
   We lose custom color when applying Effect->Blur->Gaussian Blur.

   Your actual result
   Keep custom colors like ver.24.1.

3. Blue is now purple

   When selecting a vibrant blue with the color-picker it shows it correctly and when it is applied it looks purple. (the color's HEX is correct though)

   This also happens when I drag&drop an image that has vibrant blue colors in it.

   Any ideas why this is happening?

4. Export Selection, Assets Panel not saving as before

   Prior to 25.4.1 I would highlight objects, Export Selection, Assets Tab, select the image, give it a filename, specify the export folder location (same every time), scale the image as 1.2x, put a suffix as @1.2, format = PNG 8 and the Export. Previously in Mac OS 10.15.7 (Catalina) the exported file when selected in Finder would show Dimensions, Resolution, and Color Space in the file details preview. This is no longer the case. Also, when I upload the file to Shopify the image doesn't display properly (should show as a thumbnail but now shows full size on the website. I don't understand what has changed as I do the same routine as before when I do this.

5. Separations preview

   Mac OS 10.15.7 Ai 25.4.1 When an item is selected i get blue bezier points, but when i turn separations preview on it turns light grey and makes it difficult to move also the selection marquee disappears. In some files this happens all the time even with out the separations preview on. Thanks

6. Shear dialog forgets the value

   While rotating objects keeps the value of the angle in the dialogue box, bending (shearing) immediately forgets the value. A bug?

7. Mac OS Save As file name highlight bug

   Productivity killing bug in Illustrator 25.2.3, but not Photoshop 22.3.1!:

   Mac OS (Catalina, currently) Save As dialog box highlights the entire file name, including the extension, which has been a bug the past several versions. For over a decade, Save As would not include the extension in the highlight, so one could tap the arrow key once to the end of the file name to change it, to increment a version number for example. This bug has been a huge stumbling block in my productivity.

   Also, in Illustrator, the sometimes Save As does not highlight the file name at all AND the escape key does not dismiss the dialog box. Double bug!

   Here are screen shots of the errors, with Photoshop doing the correct behavior and being the winner:

8. Illustrator Background Flickering

   Hey all.... I'm getting a very annoying flickering background in illustrator CC 25.2.3 as I roll the cursor around.

   It stops when I turn off GPU performance but I'd ideally like to have the best performing Ai as possible...other wise what's the point ey?

   MBP spec:

   10.15.7

   MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
   2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
   64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

   AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
   Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

   Very Annoying as this MBP is brand new

   Anyone had the same thing?

9. 文字パレットのサイズ変更がうまくいかない。

   24.3にアップデートました。
   クリックでサ文字イズを変更していると、途中でおかしな数字となり（以前は1Qごとに移行していた）、それ以上進まない。
   そうなるとコマンド＋zも効かなくなる。

10. Artboard Options - Constrain Proportions Bug (Illustrator v25.4.1)

    When I make an additional artboard using Shift + O, I click then drag the new artboard and when you hold Shift it constrains the new board to the same as the board made previously, like a rectangle. Holding Shift should make a square.

    This issue occurs regardless of the Constrain Proportions box being checked or not.

11. Refreshing the display with GPU-View activated seems to be buggy

    While some of the GPU-related glitches seem to be fixed wich the actual Version 25.4 (at least on my iMac here), there is still some strange behaviour that seems to occur on every version newer than 25.0:

    Everytime I open a document, the workspace turns black for a moment. That is not a big problem, but strange, as it never happened in 25.0 or older.

    Second, there are quite often problems in refreshing the display, when moving around in the illustration or copying/dragging objects around. The display gets crippled (blank spaces, where they should not be) and I have to force a refresh to see the propper illustration again.

12. Wake from sleep issues

    Illustrator, since the update, when waking from sleep, or even just display sleep - has started to resize the main app window to about 2/3 height of the screen and then when transforming objects (any movement or rotation etc) the pasteboard flickers. The pasteboard also changes shade when shifting bewteen tools - again only after waking from sleep.

    It is a brand new Mac Mini, and only affects Illustrator WITHIN the window - i.e. only the pasteboard - no menus or tools etc flicker.

    Edit: I have just noticed I get same behaviour with the window resize and some flickering of the actual image in photoshop too.

    Edit:
    • In Illustrator, the preview and pasteboard change shade when hitting space for hand tool - interestingly ONLY when the mouse cursor is within the pasteboard area. If it is over control or palettes etc then no change in preview.

    • Closing document and reopening seems to sort the issue (no need to relaunch Illustrator)

    Something to do with how CC is communicating with M1 GPU?

13. Type jumbles up in text box. Maybe because I installed Hebrew/Arabic capability?

    When I create a type box and either type in it or copy-paste from a text editor (BB Edit, which provides really clean type), the type jumbles up together without word breaks. Sometimes it ends up overwriting type that's already there and sometimes the type ends up occupying a single line, even though it may be many lines of type.

    I've had a number of type problems of various sorts since installing Hebrew/Arabic type capability several months ago.

15. Anchor Point w/ Tools Not Working

    I am using the latest verion of Illustrator on my updated Macbook 15.0, and I have to hand in a project BUT the anchor points are suddenly not working for pen, curvature, or anchor point tool. I dont know exactly how to explain it but when I try to add a line to my layer it doesnt set the anchor point where I want it, and doesnt add lines where I want them to be. When I try to move them they are very rigid in where to go, and I cant edit how long/short they are. Has anyone else experience this? I tried to uncheck the rubber band selection and restarted the program, but this doesnt seem to be working. I've attached some pictures down below to try to showcase what the problem is - I am trying to outline the black lines here, but the anchor point is refusing to follow. Help!

16. Exporting of Multiple Artboards in PDF gets messed up the order of pages (Artboards)

    Exporting an AI file that has multiple artboards in it to PDF used to show the artboards in order. Now it just messes up my artboard order. The artboard names are 1,2,3,4.. After export the pages come in this order: 1,2,4,3

    My illustrator version: 25.4.1

    Same file works perfectly in the previous version (before I updated)

20. Difference in SVG clipboard code between Mac and Windows in v25.4

    There has been a change in the SVG code format AI puts in the clipboard for Windows starting in v25.4.

    I've been using the clipboard to paste designs into the Glowforge interface for the past 3+ years. it worked properly up until the most recent update. then I started having scaling issues.

    I posted on the Glowforge site and found that people using the Mac in v25.4 aren't having the same issue. The Glowforge engineers looked at the SVG clipboard code for Mac and windows and figured out that the issue is that the clipboard code for Windows has changed.

    Here is the SVG code from a square created in MacOS on the current version of Illustrator. This SVG code can be pasted into the Design Library and opens as a 1" by 1" square as expected.

    Here is the SVG code from a square created in Windows on the current version of Illustrator. This code, when pasted into the Design Library, opens to a square that is approximately .75” by .75"

    The MacOS version is defining a width and height that can be applied to the layer; this is missing from the Windows version. This means there is no reference point to use when the Glowforge app scales the design. There are ways we try to scale appropriately in our software when this information is missing, but that’s dependent on the other information present. For instance, if the same SVG were exported and then uploaded, it would include information that the file came from Illustrator. This would fill in the blanks our software needs to understand the default dpi being used by the program, and how we can calculate that to match our app’s display.

    Is there a specific reason that the SVG clipboard code on the mac is different? is there any way you can fix the Windows SVG clipboard code to work the way it used to? or at least give an option for it to work that way again?

    There has been a change in the SVG code format AI puts in the clipboard for Windows starting in v25.4.

    I've been using the clipboard to paste designs into the Glowforge interface for the past 3+ years. it worked properly up until the most recent update. then I started having scaling issues.

    I posted on the Glowforge site and found that people using the Mac in v25.4 aren't having the same issue. The Glowforge engineers looked at the SVG clipboard code for Mac and windows and figured out that the issue is that the clipboard code for Windows has changed.
