Cannot select type baseline with text tool when snap to grid is active.
Is there an option I'm missing here with the newer versions of Illustrator? I have to key command the grid on and off constantly just to highlight small captions or type.

Bounding Box is larger than selected objects’ bounds, as if something else is selected

The bounding box problem has persisted over versions, years. Extremely strange that it continues to pester even to this day. Dragging Live Corners Rotates Object Instead of Rounding the Corner
OS: Windows 10 Pro 1909
Version: Illustrator 24.3Expected result:
Hovering over a live corner and dragging it should let me round the corner.Actual result:
Dragging a live corner more often than not rotates the object instead. Only by making sure my cursor is hovering as far away as it can be from the corner, but still showing the curve icon and dragging can I consistently get the right behaviour. Otherwise it rotates the object instead.This has been something I've experienced since at least March, and there's an Adobe Support Community post about this same issue from April…

Copy Bezier pen behavior from After Effects
In AE, we can hold down the alt/option key to instantly break smooth anchor points. In other words: Dragging a control point while alt/option is down, enables separate manipulation of the control point (breaking it).
This is way more effective than selecting a separate tool. Maybe this can be added, since alt/option has no function at the momen. (and because in a suite - one would expect similar tools to work the same ;-)

White flickering screen: Illustrator 2019 gltches out video card in Macs with AMD Radeon R9 M390 2 GB graphics card...
it's an Apple & Adobe conflict with each other regarding the AMD graphic card driver(s) + Mojave OS 10.14. Rolling back to Illustrator 2018 doesn't fix it. I first thought it was a physical hardware problem (dying graphics card) until we experienced the problem on multiple Macs in the same way.
This issue didn't exist prior to updating to Mojave, however, I think Mojave and Adobe were fine together until updating to Adobe CC's 2019 products which had the initial conflict and, in turn, created the same conflict for the prior Adobe CC versions + Mojave.

Text alignment of text on path changes in SVG on export, but not in other file types
Adobe Illustrator 25.0.1 on macOS Big Sur 11.1, MacBook Pro 2016
I've exported the same graph multiple times - as jpeg, png and svg. In the svg version, some text looses it's alignment - can't send that to my client!

Shift+Alt drag to duplicate in CC 2021 makes a duplicated image invisible
When using Shift and Alt to drag to duplicate, the image to be duplicated does not stay visible. Therefore I cannot see up to where I want to drag and then duplicate. Used to work on previous versions, but somehow since upgrading, it doesn't work. Not sure if it is a setting that I must change?

Cursor in input fields is almost not visible with light UI after 24.2.3, on any display
The cursor in any field where you can insert values is so light that you can almost not see it.
The contrast in the fields should be increased so that the cursor is visible again.OS X 10.15.6, Illustrator 24.2.3

Bug: Newlines become Carriage Returns on Mac
On Mac this outputs a file with "test1^Mtest2^M"
f = new File([path]);
f.open("a");
f.writeln("test1");
f.writeln("test2");
f.close();it uses carriage returns which means things like tail -f [path] won't work. Workaround is to use the "BINARY" file encoding

Software does'nt work
Dear Adobe Creative Cloud helper,
I have upgraded my software to version Illustrator 2021 via my Creative Cloud account on my iMac Pro (MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina). Everything was seemingly going right but, when I open my new Illustrator 2021, it quits out as soon as I move the mouse …
I tried to uninstall and then install again but the same problem occurs. I can’t find out what is going wrong …

Corner Anchor Points become Smooth in 24.1
Draw a straight line.
Add Anchor points twice
Use the Delete Anchor Point Tool to removwe the middle one.
The adjoining Anchor point become smooth instead of staying Corner (as in previous versions).

Justification, distance inter-mots
macOS 10.14.6. Illustrator 25.1
Quand une ligne de texte ne comporte que des chiffres (ex : numéro de téléphone), la distance inter-mot est toujours à 100% et ne reflète pas les réglages d'espacement du panneau paragraphe/justification.
Il suffit d'ajouter une lettre en début ou en fin de ligne pour que le réglage soit pris en compte.1 vote -
Importing Brushes is not working.
Trying to import a variety of brushes from all different sources that are CS4 and above and correct AI files.
When I look at preview links it provides the image below. And when I open the files are blank this is consistent with every single brush AI file I"ve tried to open. However, on the Open menu of illustrator they are available to preview. Is there a problem with opening AI brushes in the 2021 update? Ideally I need these brushes to finish work for a client, and need to build on Illustrator rather than Photoshop

Previews no longer available
Since upgrading to Catalina I no longer have previews of documents. They are now all empty boxes. Any idea how to bring them back?

Deleting Files V25.0.1 and V25.1
When saving, files will randomly be deleted, with and without error messages. There is no way to tell when this is going to happen, and the file is having to be recreated from scratch.

Crashing with every SAVE 25.2
Every time I go to save, AI crashes and my new "Save As" document is empty (zero bites).

Artwork becomes blueish when zoomed in 400%
When I'm 300% zoom it looks normal and works as it supposed to but when I go to 400% or more I get this weird blue that covers my image

G-Sync
I don't understand why, but all Creative Cloud apps get affected by G-Sync. The mouse cursor while using any Creative Cloud app lags severely. But, as soon as you turn off G-Sync, it's smooth as butter.
