  1. Remebering fractional values in Extrude & Bevel

    You can type in fractional values in Extrude & Bevel and they work fine, although AI rounds them up immediately in fields, though applies to the art.
    But when you try to save this appearance in Graphic style and then re-apply to another art, all fractional bits are gone, AI treats them as integers both ways.

    Hi,

    Sorry about the issue, but the feature works that ways.

    1) On applying Effects in fractional values, it gets applied immediately. While saving this appearance in Graphic style and then re-apply to another art it will work the same (as with fractional values)

    2) While trying to edit already applied effects, the input details get’s rounded off. As a result, you have to enter fractional values for the precision.

  2. drop down boxes appear off screen - instead of simply dropping down.

    I encounter and issue in illustrator where my drop-down menus appear either on the left of my screen or in the case of the Variable Width Profile opens at the bottom of my screen, (outside of illustrator) and won't allow me to select the profile I would prefer. It's a floating box but it won't allow me to move it. I have a similar issue in Premier as well. I don't have this issue in PS, so it appears as exlcusive to illustrator.

  3. Cannot print A3 at 100%

    From my Mac running 10.15.4, A3 will not print correctly to my Epson WF 7720. No scaling is applied - it's at 100% both in the driver dialog and Illustrator itself - but the prints are coming out at 97.2% of what they should be.

    8.5 x 11 prints work fine, and the same document prints correctly at A3 from within Inkscape.

  4. Random bug of unselected object frame, from locked layer, visible even though not selected

    Only way to remove the frame is to shut the file down and then reopen. Unable to take a screen shot as the frame disappears when taking it.

  5. Magic mouse 2 poor performance

    OS Catalina - 10.15.3
    Illustrator - 24.0.3
    Imac 2019 - I9 - 40gb ram - 512 ssd - pro vega 48 8gb

    The performance while using the magic mouse 2 is very... very slow and laggy. Just scrolling left to right/up to down using a single finger swipe is choppy, delayed to the point where it is unusable. I am forced to use a different mouse while working within illustrator (my logitech, which works fine). I know there are some features within mac OS like the inertia scrolling that cause problems but when you disable all of the those features…

  6. Chess like structure

    While I am working on my projects a chess board like structure is appearing of no where.

    1 - Microsoft Surface Pro 4 - Windows 10 - Adobe Illustrator 24.2.1
    2- while using curving Pen tool.
    3- I want it to stop disappear tried restart application.
    4- it still apear.

  7. Temp file string prepended to filename slug

    When saving a PDF copy of a file with cropmarks to a network share a temporary string such as "ai157536670945_" is prepended to the filename in the page info/slug in the cropmark area.

  8. Illustrator 2020 v24.1.1 - "Real-Time Drawing and Editing" can't save new symbol

    I tested the new Real-Time Drawing and Editing feature today and found that once I finished my drawing, dragging it over to the Symbols pane to create a new symbol as I normally would resulted in the attached error.

    This was the first bit of work I had done since enabling this new feature so I suspected it was the cause and I moved on to two other projects to confirm.   9. XD and PS defaults to open .ai files - AI files should open with Illustrator only

    Working in windows 10. After updating XD and Illustrator to 2019, all my existing .ai files have been defaulted to open in XD. I can use the "Open With" option to successfully open .ai files in Illustrator but the default always stays with XD no matter how many times I select Illustrator.

    Uninstalled XD. AI files cannot locate Illustrator as primary software for launch.

  11. Values of artboard differes from the values on control panel in artboard mode

    1. Create big artboard 5 meter in Normal Mode
    2. Activate Increase Cavas Mode
    3. Activate artboard mode
    4. Enlarge artboard up to maximal size 57 meter with dragging handels
    5. The values in control panel are in METERS while in properties panel they are in INCH

    Expected result: The must be in the same measuraments value. In METRS as I have choose METERS

    It happens when I create artbord after first run.

  12. Effects menu is smaller/larger than other menus on Windows with larger UI scaling

    When looking at the effects drop down on a high definition laptop, it is smaller then the rest of the dropdowns.

    i dont know what more i need to say... im so frustrated. literally wasting hours with this happening over and over and yall **** blocked the way cc2020 ai works with the previous versions. basically forcing us to us 2020 then it screws up.... i should of been a stripper.... thanks mom

  14. Very small AI file but super slow - can't even pan.

    I have floor plans that I exported from DWG to 2007 DXF. I then imported to AI to do graphic edits. I'm using AI 2020.

    This was done a long time ago and the AI file has always been extremely slow but I've managed to work with it to the point it is now. But I'm getting super sick of how it can barely handle me panning across the artboards and now dashed lines won't show up as dashed lines either. Help!

  15. Arc Warp Effect with Unexpected Results (Combined with Masks)

    When applying an arc effect shouldn't the mask dictate how the arc effect works and not the larger contents of the mask?

    The results I am getting now appear to be possibly impacted by the larger/complex contents of the mask.

    I have used a larger arc amount of 15% in the images below to exaggerate the difference I am seeing between the simplified design/mask and the second design with a larger pattern inside the mask.

    Is this working as intended or is this an issue?

  16. Illustrator partially freezes after waking Windows 10 up

    When I wake my computer from sleeping mode (Windows 10) and Illustrator was still open, it is frozen in a way. I can click the documents tabs but the view isn't refreshing.. I can select a tool but I can not interact... zoom is not working...

  17. The input fields and dropdowns get visual artifacts and then illustrator crashes sometimes after that.

    The text boxes and dropdowns get visual artifacts - resizing illustrator causes ui to disappear until you hover over it, and then illustrator becomes unresponsive or crashes after that.

  18. Display not being refreshed, scrolling through Artwork while zoomed in and dragging an object

    When I have zoomed into my artwork and drag an object - for example draw a rectangle or line that reaches the end of the window while dragging, the artboard scrolls, but the image is not refreshed. Only the ruler shows me, that I am scrolling... Even when I stop dragging and release the mousebutton, the image is not fully refreshed. Otherwise: when I drag the Marquee-Tool to the end of the window, scrolling starts and the image gets constantly refreshed while dragging.
