Can't see things I just did.
When I move an object or make a change to my file it doesn't show up until I click in the document. Then, the object shows up in the new location. I have to restart the program and it works for a few minutes, then happens again. Really frustrating. I am on a new computer with the current version of Illustrator. It happened in older versions on my older computer as well.

Snap to grid doesn't work in new documents
Snap to grid doesn't work at all in new documents. It works with no issues whatsoever in old files, but whenever I create a new one, nothing snaps to grid. I tried restarting, didn't work, and the software is up to date. Any help would be appreciated.

Variable width profile is off screen
I don't understand why but this bug is visible not only in illustrator but also in Premier.
My issue is that many of the scroll, drop down tools or options appear in random areas of my work area. Most specific is my Variable width profile - instead of dropping down, it appears on the lower end of my illustratror window. I have multiple monitors and on one (IMAC 27") the full drop-down appears on the lower end of the work area. On my LG 34" inch, it appears partially off-screen, none the less off my work area. Optical Kerning issue when outlining and scaling
If you write something using optical kerning, copy it, paste in front and outline it, the outline matches up. However if you then scale both in pro, lets say 300%, then the live text no longer matches the outlined version (see attached example where the live text is in red and outlined vectors in black). This is causing us problems when scaling objects onto different panels but we are required to supply editable text. Logos etc are no longer exact scaled replicas!

Stacked objects throw off smart align! so frustrating! Won't even align to the document bounds.

Artwork disappearing / Framework in Outline Mode Glitching
Illustrator artboard disappearing and turning to outline mode if I zoom in/out OR try and move an object. Everything seems to be repeating itself in these weird wire frames. I have to save, exit out, then reenter that file. This is happening often and multiple times a day.

Cambria text & large text cursor
Looks like this was happening in 2017 as well... when using Cambria font, the cursor is 2 or 3 times as large as it should be when editing text. Makes highlighting & editing multiple rows almost impossible. I'd attach a file but others have shown the same thing already and it's simply a text box with Cambria text and a huge cursor. Text size is 11, height set at 13. In the same document but a text box using BonvenoCF, the cursor is the right height.

Cannot save file
Illustrator file gets stuck on 81% saving, I tried hunderd times and it doesn't want to save my file no matter what I do

EVERY TIME I try to use the Unite function on the pathfinder, I end up with the spinning wheel of death.

Artboard > Fit to Artwork Bounds with clipping mask and raster effects
Resizing an artboard with Artboard Options -> Preset -> Fit to Artwork Bounds doesn't honor clipping masks or raster effects. The new artboard size includes artwork hidden by clipping mask, and excludes raster effects such as drop shadows.
2 votesIllustrator now honors raster effects such as clipped shadows, and fits to clipping masks instead of their clipped content, when using Fit to Artwork Bounds or Fit to Selected Art commands.
However, there is no option to not do that, and to ignore Use Preview Bounds option in general — the fitting always uses strokes. Illustrator v24.1.2 Crashing all the time - operates slow overall
Illustrator crashing and working slower on my New 2019 Macbook Pro, than my old mid 2014 Macbook Pro. Basic simple functions and my I get the wheel thinking all the time. Adobe hasn't been able to answer any questions. Ive contacted them and Apple multiple times over the past few days. With the computer I bought, it shouldn't have to think at all.
Please tell me someone knows a fix.

Illustrator 24.0.1 lags...
Copy and paste will freeze and take about 5-10sec before i can do anything after copying even on simple files. I have tried every different performance setting combinations. Its really like adobe is just letting more and more problems every time there is a new version released...

27 Spot Colour limit
We cannot record more than 27 spot colors in illustrator. I do a lot of pantone, but I can only record 27. I need to be able to save all colors in the color library.

CC 22.1 on MAC OS X El Capitan V10.11.6
When using the direct selection tool you cannot see what's been selected - the selection doesn't highlight.
Guides keep disappearing when clicked-on with the selection tool. When you select-all - all the guides disappear.

Random crash
Adobe Illustrator cc 2020 is randomly crashing, even if I'm not using it. It's happening at least a couple times a day. I'm using the last version of Catalina in my mac.

Save dialog box not showing on 24.1
At Saving a document for a first time, it only appear the window box with nothing on it. Until I change of Desktop, everything appear in the dialog box, then I can go back to the Illustrator desktop, put a name to the file and save without more issues. I've downgraded to previous release (24.0.3) and everything works fine again.
I use Mac 10.15.3, Multiple Desktops (One for Photoshop, one for InDesign, one for Illustrator), iMac 5K 24 GB RAM - 2 GB VRAM. The Illustrator version failing: 24.11 vote -
Import error when trying to export Illustrator settings
When attempting to export my Illustrator Settings (My Settings -> Export Settings...) to a file for backup I receive the error message "An error occurred. Settings were not imported."

Straight lines don’t allow to add points to their centers / middles
So, I created a square, changed the line brush with something else, and then cut the 4 corners with scissor tool. Then, if I select the add anchor point tool, and click in the EXACT MIDDLE of the newly created line (which I cut from the square), it will not allow me to do so. It's just saying you only can add anchor point on the path line.
Please help me Adobe...
3 votesThis is fixed in the latest Beta Build 29.5.0.15 — now straight lines allow to add a point at the center positions. Please check if this now behaves as expected and comment back.
However, the team didn’t make it into the snapping feature requested in comments — to be able to snap to middles of any segment, curved or straight. If you need one, please upvote this split request.
