1. Missing Buttons/Interface in Find Font

   I've recently noticed that the buttons in Find Font do not appear unless I scroll over them. This is a very recent occurrence as far as I can tell.

2. Brush Pressure exceeds set size/variation

   When drawing with the brush in CC 2018, the brush size of the stroke can exceed the set size and variation. For instance, If I have a brush size of 3 and variation 3, when drawing pressing very hard, the stroke size will go above 3 pts. in CC 2017 the brush stroke was limited to brush size.

   Hi, all.

   As per the investigation done by the engineering team, the issue is not a bug, but an expected scenario.

   Variation means that it should go both above and below the set size.

   So a 3pt stroke with 3pt variation will draw from 0 to 6 pt. Kindly reach out to us incase you have any queries.

3. Tool useage goes away after a period of time.

   I am currently trying to use Illustrator 23.0.1 on a windows 10 machine. After loading a drawing that I am working on, everything is ok at the beginning, but after a short amount of time, I start losing function of the tools that I use. For example, when I type, the text change does not appear until I click off of the text and click the curser on the drawing board. Too many other things quit working and I have to shut down the application, and reopen. I am lucky if I get 10 minutes of work done before bad things start to happen again. This is really slowing down my productivity.

4. Pattern brush

   Pattern Brush start and end components should not appear when used on closed paths as in Illustrator CS6.

   if you make a pattern brush with a red dot at the end, you can use it to find open paths in CS6 but not in CC2018. necessary for working with plotter/cutters.

5. Error When Selecting Graphic Styles Palette

   Recently updated to Illustrator CC19 (version 23.0.1) Was altering the workspace and when I selected the Graphic Styles palette I get the error message "There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object error" Didn't even have an object selected or anything, after the error message all options are greyed out and I can't select anything on the artboard. Tried restarting, saving a new file, deleting all the graphic styles I had installed but the error still persists. This is happening for both old and brand new files.

   I uninstalled Illustrator and reinstalled and it seemed to work temporarily, but when I opened illustrator a second time the error comes up again when selecting graphic styles.

   macOS latest version all up to date. Late 2013 iMac.

7. Vectors rendered too thick on screen

   Since the update to 22.1, all vector lines are being rendered too thickly on screen. Compare any lines drawn in AI with how they appear when printed out - they are inaccurately rendered on screen. Illustrator is a vector application, it cannot be displaying vectors with such poor quality on screen.

8. Type properties panel bug

   Every time when changing a text's properties and deselecting it the text is reverted to size 12. Also when a different colour is applied to part of the text and deselecting it, the colour is applied to the whole text. The situation is the same with different font styles - setting part of the text in bold will result that everything is changed to bold when deselected. It happens every time.

9. Disable jumping of dock icon during saving on MacOS

   When saving documents with Adobe Cloud (e. g. Adobe Illustratior 23.0.1) apps on MacOS (10.14.1) the dock icon „jumps“ repeatedly. This is a MacOS feature to alert the user that the program that is „jumping“ needs something done by the user (like confirming or canceling something in a dialog box).
   But with Adobe apps the jumping of the dock icon has no meaning (aside from „I'm saving your document atm“ – which I know because I just started that process and can see the process bar on the dock icon). This is very distracting and misleading.

    Please upgrade to the latest AI version 23.0 to resolve this issue. Version 22 is not supported on 10.14

11. Some shortcuts not working in 22.1

    For example Transform each Ctrl+Shift+Alt+D not working at all.
    CC2017 seems to be still better option than CC2018, many bugs.

12. Illustrator crashes as one file opens.

    Opening a file I have been working on, Illustrator crashes just when the window appears after the loading bar disappears. As far as I know, this only happens with this particular file. I can open another file which is much larger.
    This is pretty much a disaster for me.
    I've tried restarting, and closing all other programs. AI still crashes in the same way.

13. Artboard selection bugs in Illustrator CC 2018

    There are a number of bugs related to Illustrator CC 2018 losing artboard selection (no highlight in the artboard list in the artboard panel), and losing sync between actual artboard selection and displayed (highlighted) selection. These include:

    When copying an artboard by dragging and dropping it onto the New Artboard icon in the Artboard panel, and then dragging that new artboard to a new position in the artboard list, the selection is displayed on the new artboard in its new location, but in fact, the original artboard is still selected. Double-clicking on the new artboard does NOT move selection to it, and does not cause it to 'fit to screen'.

    Once you are in this situation, clicking within any artboard in the main work area does not cause that artboard to become selected, and does not move the highlight in the artboard list. Clicking the artboard navigation arrows on the lower left DOES cause the highlight to reappear and accurately show the selected artboard; however, having to click 'forward ' and then 'back' after each artboard drag and drop just to get artboard highlights in the list to work is ridiculous.

    I use Illustrator professionally for UX design. My workflow is most often to create a screen, and then copy it and modify the copy to show the next step in the user's workflow. The 2018 upgrade is pretty much unusable because of these bugs. I just reinstalled Illustrator CC 2017 so I can continue to work.

14. GPU Preview Shortcut Resetting

    After changing the shortcut for "View using CPU" and "View using GPU" it reverts back to the original CMD+E setting when Illustrator is restarted. I noticed this bug after a 2015 update and it's still present after updating to 23.0.1.

    Operating system: macOS Mojave 10.14

    I've been able to replicate the issue on three other computers by doing the following: change the keyboard shortcut for GPU preview to something other than CMD+E and restarting Illustrator. I would expect Illustrator to retain the new keyboard shortcut under the View menu, but it reverts back to CMD+E.

17. Control bar not updated on tool selection

    On Illustrator 23.0.1 running on Windows 10, the control bar does not update when a tool (say Pen, or Type or Selection, etc...) is selected. Only when the tool is click on the document would the control bar updated to show the tool options The graphics card is the Intel 520 (ver 25.20.100.6326).

18. Some Dashed Lines make Ai crash

    When typing these values in the Dashed Line fields:

19. Using the Direct Selection tool on a path, whilst holding ‘shift’ to drag causes crashes/can’t preview.

    Mac Mojave 10.14.1 > Illustrator 23.0.1.

    This issue does one of 3 things:

    1/ the path repeatedly snaps back to the origin (Annoying).

    2/ the path extends vertically top to bottom off the artboard causing ‘cannot preview’ issue. Although this is fixed with an undo and selecting view using GPU/CPU (Really Annoying).

    3/ Illustrator hangs and becomes unresponsive (basically hammers my system resources) and I have to force quit or it just crashes (Ridiculously Annoying).

20. Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.01 new file issue

    I have updated to Illustrator CC 2019, 23.0.1. Every time I want to create a new file, I have to log into Adobe. Why and how can I stop this?
