Gray popup about Unpropping appears again and again
A grey popup appears constantly whenever I am ungrouping things to tell me about ungrouping.
Nothing in Preferences makes this go away and I see it repeatedly so closing it once doesn't work either. I really don't need training wheels and this should be one simple option to disable all large tooltips, blue popups and gray popups. Paste in Front shortcut got reassigned to Contextual Task Bar
For some reason this very important shortcut is now assigned to the Contextual Task Bar.
Please repair that. Cmd-F goes decennia back, and is very important for experience Illustrator-users.1 vote -
Stop remembering my last save as file type!!!
I've used Illustrator for decades, and the only file type that a new document should be saved as is an .AI file. For the love of God, please go back to .AI or allow me to choose .AI as my default file type!!!

Double Click on Fill results in Black
Double clicking on the Fill (bottom of tools palette), when the current fill is a gradient results in the fill turning black, in stead of opening the Gradient Editor, which might be helpful and intuitively right.
Please make this happen:
Double click on the Fill at the bottom of the tools palette should open the color editor that is most likely:

XMPMeta is not defined on ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS #515
As of ILST 28.7.1 on MacOS, XMPMeta has stopped working. However, it works fine on:
- ILST 28.7.1 on Windows
- ILST 28.6 on MacOsThe issue also exists on ILST (Beta) 29.1 on MacOs.

Threaded text area box disappears after saving
MacOS Ventura 13.7
Illustrator 28.6 and newerWhen I convert a document to curves, save a copy, and then press Undo so I can have the text boxes editable again. As soon as I press Save after doing this, the second text frame in a thumbnail in Finder vanishes, while still existing in the document.
5 votesAccording to the team, this is expected to be fixed in the upcoming November Beta and Prerelease builds. Once it’s verified to be fixed, it will get pushed into the next main build.

Illustrator friert jedes Mal einige Minuten nach dem Starten für ca. 5 Minuten ein. Der Fehler tritt unabhängig davon auf, was man gerade tut, der Fehler tritt auch auf, wenn kein Dokument geöffnet ist und nur das Startfenster angezeigt wird. Can’t select an object under a locked object
I'd like to be able to work on an area that is under a locked layer.
Currently I can't select anything that is under it. Selection tools just want to select the object on top that it ain't allowed to select... Can't it ignore it? It is locked.Maybe there is a paramaeter somewhere about it, but I didn't find it so far.
Example of use : You have a reference image/object that you put on top with multiply or darken mode and some transparency.

It allows to 'select' and unlock all or chosen objects directly on canvas. 1. ポイントテキストをドキュメント上に作成し「ABCD」と入力し、各グリフを異体字（添付のサンプルではu+0041 nalt5等を指定）に変更する。
2.作成したテキストに任意のSVGフィルタを適用する。
3.異体字を指定したグリフがデフォルトのグリフにフォールバックした状態でレンダリングされる。期待する結果

Elements placed on top of a Dynamic Symbol disappear when exported as JPEG
Any element placed on top of a dynamic symbol looks hidden behind the symbol when exported as JPEG.
Works in 2023, stopped working in 2024 version 28.517 votesSeems like it’s been fixed and doesn’t happen anymore in the latest builds. Please check if it works for you and comment back if it fails still

When revealing a link in Finder/Explorer Illustrator opens the folder but doesn’t select the file, unlike InDesign does
Unlike InDesign, this function does go to the folder, but it doesn't select the file.
I assume this is a bug and not how Adobe intends it to work??
I don't buy the idea that "I really doubt Illustrator can SELECT the file in the Finder / Explorer... I bet it’s something outside of its capabilities and both OS don’t really offer an integration like this".
Why is it that InDesign can do this if there's some inherent thing blocking this functionality?

Unavailable fonts in Illustrator vs Acrobat Reader
When I open a document with a missing font, Illustrator keeps displaying the correct font. However, when I open the same document without any changes in Acrobat Reader, the font changes to the default font. Is this normal? Or do I have to worry about converting to curves first?

Bottom margins for labels are too small for Swatch Info objects in the column view (with no card backgrounds)
If I choose to display Swatch Info card in a column, and choose to omit background cards, the result would have text lines too close to the chips below, like the attached image shows. It makes it feel like the text is not related to chips above, and forces us to use cards still to control 'space after' at least somehow, even when cards are not necessary.
While the team hardcoded the 'space before' as a strict gap (again, hardly OK), they seem to forget to do the same for the bottom line.
And if you pick this up, please…

Impossible de redimensionner un objet sur Illustrator

Le curseur ne s'affiche pas dans le coin comme habituellement sur les autres versions d'illustrator.

使用環境
ソフトウェア: Adobe Illustrator 2025
バージョン: 29.0.1特定のファイルを使用している際に、選択ツールを使ったバウンディングボックスでの拡大縮小操作が正しく動作しない現象が発生しています。他のファイルでは正常に操作ができるものの、特定のファイルにおいてのみ、斜めの拡大縮小と縦横の拡大縮小が逆になってしまい、期待通りの変形ができません。
バグが起こった手順:
1. 特定のファイルを開く。
2. 選択ツールを使用してオブジェクトを選択し、バウンディングボックスの角または辺にカーソルを合わせて拡大縮小操作を行う。
3. 通常であれば、斜めの拡大縮小（角をドラッグ）と縦横の拡大縮小（辺をドラッグ）が正しく行われるはずですが、問題のファイルでは、角をドラッグしても縦横の拡大縮小に、辺をドラッグしても斜めの拡大縮小に変わってしまいます。
ソフトを終了して、環境設定を初期化して再起動することで、一時的に問題が解消されることがありました。
しかし、一定期間使用していると再び同じ現象が発生してしまいます。1 vote
