  1. Resize handles offset from selection

    For some reason, all of my resize handles are offset from the actual object that's selected. I'm not sure what causes this problem, but it makes the entire app very difficult to use.

  2. Illustrator won't open more than one file at a time.

    I have version 21.1.0 (64 bit) running on Windows 10 (more system details in attached png). I am not able to open more than one file at a time. What happens:

    1. I open a file.
    2. I double click to open another AI file (other file opening methods have same results).
    3. Nothing happens. One file remains open. I might see the spinner mouse for a sec but the second file never opens.
    4. If I try to close the first file, leaving Illustrator open, and open a new file, Illustrator becomes unresponsive and I have to close it via the Task Manager.

  3. Hitting Enter/Return to confirm after modifying values (Stroke, Opacity, Etc) in the Top Toolbar Opens a Move Dialog Box Instead

    When modify values such as opacity in the toolbar, i have always hit enter/return to confirm changes. As of recently however, this now opens a Move dialog box instead of submitting my changes. (See the attached gif for an example)

    If there is something wrong about my workflow please let me know, but I don't currently see any other way of confirming these types of minor edits.

    After several rounds of cancelling the move dialog, the changes will miraculously go through, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why. As you can imagine, this is…

  4. Illustrator doesn't find color profile, which are shown in Indesign

    Hi everybody,

    I installed an eci color profile (pso-coated_v3) on my windows 10 computer (right-mouse-click, then install). In Photoshop CC and Indesign CC everything is fine, so it is installed correctly. But the new profile isn't shown in Illustrator CC.

    I reopened Illustrator and also de- and reinstalled it...

    Does anybody has got an idea, why the new profile doesn't show in in the color-settings of Illustrator?

  5. Illustrator CC 2017 crashes when i copy paste anything from it

    When i try to copy paste anything from the Illustrator, It crashes.
    1. I use the latest Illustrator CC 2017
    2. For example i draw a cube
    3. I open the Photoshop as well
    4. Back to Illustrator and copy the cube and try to paste into the photoshop but the Illustrator crashes.
    5. I reinstall it and rebooted the PC of course but nothing changes
    6. Honestly if i push the "CTRL-C" within Illustrator it crashes asap, so i cannot copy/paste anything within the AI.

  6. Surface Pro GPU Issues

    Hello. Been having problems with fonts showing up with 'scratched' edges on Illustrator CC. I've cleaned up caches including font cache and have installed previous Illustrator version 15.3 and still the same issue. Please see attachment to view problem.

    This issue is fixed by Intel in their latest driver update (15.46.02.4729 – released on 11 JUL 2017 ) available at – https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26941/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-46-?product=88358

    This update cannot show up driver search, as it might take some time for Microsoft to get it integrated in their Surface Pro driver updates. Microsoft prevents installing driver directly from Intel if you try the installer directly, however latest driver from Intel can be installed with steps listed in section “Update video adapter device drivers” > “Intel (Surface Pro devices)” in below link

  7. Can't create new artwork

    new button and menu item just start dialog box so can't create any new artwork from scatch

  8. Application crash when copy/pasting SVG paths

    I have several logos that were created in Inkscape and saved in SVG format that I now need to edit in Illustrator. However even after re-saving them as AI files, any attempt to copy/paste any part of the SVG paths from the logo results in an immediate application crash.

    Adobe Illustrator CC (latest) Windows 10 64bit

    Steps:
    1. Open the attached AI file (which was converted from SVG by opening then saving in Illustrator).
    2. Select any part of the logo.
    3. Copy using Edit -> Copy or CTRL+C
    4. Paste using Edit -> Paste or CTRL+V

  9. an Illustrator error occurred: 1346458189 ('MRAP') and Applescript

    Adobe Illustrator CC2017

    AppleMac 10.10.5

    Applescript 2.7

    When running Applescript that interact with Illustrator CC2017 I get this error at random intervals and the applescript does not run.

    I then restart Illustrator then the script will work fine about 3-4 times running the same script. Then I get the error again.

    Restart Illustrator (rinse and repeat).

    This is quite severe here as we rely heavy on applescripts.

    All worked fine on previous CC2015

    I have attached an example of one of the applescripts we run that has experienced this error, but it is happening to ALL of our scripts.

  10. Fonts Slow EVERYTHING Down

    Fonts are the slowest feature in programs from MS Office to Adobe. This problem just caused me to lose work because AI shut down while trying to figure out how to manage a standard font with which I was working. Thanks for nothing AI and your simpleton font generators. You're fired.

  11. Unable to group

    Unable to group something together. It give me the option to group but when I click it nothing happens, please update Illustrator there are too many glitches now.

  13. Zoom - Scroll Wheel

    In Illustrator CC the program seems hardwired to not listen to the tablet settings about scroll wheel zoom or even touch pad zoom. There are lots of people online complaining about this and trying to find work arounds.
    I suggest just creating a hard wired button like photoshop did to fix this issue.
    This wasn't an issue with Illustrator CS4, so I'm not sure what changed.

  14. FILE Corruption - Illustrator will not open AI files. Adobe CC/Windows 10.

    just trying to open AI files to work in ILLUSTRATOR. POS won't open. After reboot, won't open. How was the subscription model supposed to be better?

  16. Appearance pallet, 2 top stacks always expand, after use Type Tool

    Illustrator 22.0.0 72@102345, Illustrator 21.1.0 and all previous CC versions

    Steps:
    1. Open Illustrator, new document
    2. Open Appearance Palette (Shift+F6)
    3. Collapse all stacks in Appearance Palette (if they expanded)
    4. Choose Type Tool
    5. Use Type Tool in any place of document
    6. ESC and Click any place of document

    Expected result:
    Appearance Palette Stacks remain minimized (folded)

    Actual result:
    2 top Appearance Palette Stacks are expand (unfolded)

  17. Can't save color themes even when signed in

    I'm trying to save a color theme but when I mouse over "Save" it says "You must sign to save color themes" even though I am already signed in according to the Help drop down menu. As a result I can't save any color themes. I'm using the 1 week trial version of Adobe Illustrator called Adobe Illustrator CC Tryout 2017.1.0 Release.

    When I use a very high zoom (25 500 %), paths appear distorded or even disappear.

    It happens when GPU rendering is off as well as when it's on.

  19. High Sierra (macOS 10.13) GPU rendering issues with RGB document - Intel Graphics

    Illustrator 21.1.0 has issues with GPU rendering in the latest High Sierra public betas:

    Paths will appear jagged and generally do not display correctly.

    Altering the zoom level affects these artefacts.

    Switching off GPU rendering altogether fixes the issue but this way, performance is obviously affected.

    Additional Note: Works correctly in CMYK document.

  20. Bounding Box Persistence while traversing history: failure mode

    Hello, this is a very light bug that has been pestering me.
    I'm running Ai CC 21.1.0

    Bug Summary:
    While traversing the Ai history using (Cmd+z and Shift+Cmd+z) the bounding box loses track of which elements are being manipulated between the different states. This may depend on number of elements, which will then point to performance limitations but I am running on a 2016 MacBook Pro, 16 GB Memory, 2.7 GHz i7 processor, Radeon Pro 455 and Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB for graphics.
