2. Older name is used in Share for Review

   When sending for review, I have shared it with my alternate email, and it keeps pulling up my former name- this was changed on my account setting in google admin, as well as my contacts list. How can I find out where it is finding and autopoulating my old name?

3. Shift + F puts screen in presentation mode.

   WIth version 28.2 Shift + F puts the screen in presentation mode even though there is no hotkey setting for it, it was blank in the keyboard shortcut menu.

   I added a hotkey command that i would never use to so it doesn't keep going into it when I accidentally hit those keys since ctrl + F i use a lot. and Shift + F still puts it in presentation mode. I have never had this issue before until today...

5. Dimensions get expanded when moved, with or without related objects

   I can somewhat understand dimension object get expanded when they are moved away from the measured object... although this should not happen.

   But why the dimension objects get expanded when they are moved WITH the measured object? What, Ai can’t distinguish moving form other transformation? What if need to move my artwork to just insert something else — what, this makes all of my dimensions instantly dead?

   Don’t expand dimensions until a user has an clear intention to do it!

6. Dimension tool prefers to snap to or edit an existing dimension instead of starting or completing a new one

   Take a look at the GIF.
   I need to measure the width of one square, and then measure the overall width of both squares.

   I create the first dimension with no problem.
   However, when I try to create the second one, Ai plays dumb.

   When I click the leftmost point, the tool thinks that I am to EDIT the existing dimension (although I am clicking and not click-and-dragging, and I am clicking an endpoint of it, and not in the middle!)

   Well... I can lock the first dimension (which would require me to abort, select the first one, lock, and try again).
   Instead, I try to start from the rightmost point and click the leftmost one then.

   ...but Ai now plays even dumber, it doesn’t allow me to FINISH my dimension! It SELECT the existing one instead, although I am in THE MIDDLE of CREATING a new one!

   OK, I trick it and snap to the point at the bottom — but then I get a skewed dimension instead of a parallel line, and there is no Shift I can quickly tap to force it to be orthogonal, and now I have to draaaag over to the right to make it behave — which is a separate request I made here:

   'Sure', you might say, 'it’s your own fault, you made the offset for extension line to be zero!'
   Yes, I did. I need it to be zero. Our standards require it. And yours seemingly permits selecting other objects while in the middle of creating operations....

7. Artifacts and unable to render Mask

   Good day.

   I'm having troubles rendering an Opacity Mask. I attach the screenshots of the differences. When I change to CPU Preview, the file renders normally but when I change to GPU preview it shows as the image attached. The problem also affects some blending modes like Color Burn which do not render correctly neither in GPU or CPU Preview.

   My system is as follows:

   -Asus B550M-A
   -Ryzen 5 5600x
   -32gb Corsair Vengeance DD4 3600MHz RAM
   -Sapphire AMD RX 6700XT 16GB

   Illustrator Version 28.2 (64 bits)

8. Variable Fonts with a Width axis don’t work in Illustrator unless the "space" glyph changes width

   Operating system:
   macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 (23B81)

   The version of Adobe Illustrator (desktop):
   Adobe Illustrator 2024 (28.2)

   The steps you were taking when you experienced the issues:
   I created a variable font with a width axis. The font works well in environments like web browsers, but the variable axis slider has no effect in Illustrator. This also affects variable fonts with a Width axis and other axes – none of the shaping changes of any axes are rendered in Illustrator.

   After some debugging and experimentation, I finally learned that the "space" glyph must change in its character width, and only then will Illustrator actually apply variable shaping changes.

   This is a problem for at least three reasons:
   1. Variable fonts are a useful way to prototype logos or wordmarks, and in such fonts, designers may not think to adjust the "space" glyph for width changes, because the character isn’t relevant to a logo design.
   2. Designers often prototype fonts with a few glyphs, and want to test results early in Illustrator. If they haven’t adjusted the "space" glyph yet, the font will appear to be broken, when it is in fact an Illustrator bug.
   3. It should be possible to make a variable font with a Width axis which affects some glyphs, but not necessarily the "space" glyph. It would be unusual, but it there is no reason it shouldn’t be a possibility.

   I’m happy to share test font files, but this forum doesn’t allow me to upload .ttf or .zip files.

   Your expected result and the actual result:
   • I expect variable axes to have an effect in variable fonts in Illustrator, especially when those fonts work elsewhere.
   • Illustrator doesn’t apply variable axis changes if the "space" glyph doesn’t change along the Width axis, if the Width axis is included.

   Upload your Illustrator file or a video (screen recording or gif, this helps us most to reproduce the issue and resolve it)

10. Reduce History Panel Minimum Width

    Please reduce the history panel minimum width.
    Currently it's wider than (almost?) all of the history step names.

    Ideally this panel width could reduce to just show the icons of each history step.

    Common actions like Move and Clear would benefit from icons better representing the changes made.

    All the different type adjustments would also benefit from displaying their corresponding icons from their respective panels (font size, letter spacing, line height, paragraph alignment etc.)

11. Turning off hinting does nothing.

    I have a font with poor hinting where the alignment of several letters isn't working properly. When I select 'none' from the drop-down menu for hinting in the character panel, nothing changes. In previous versions of Illustrator, this is used to treat the letters as standard vectors.

12. Color profiles are silently discarded for the placed screenshot thumbnails on Mac

    Can we fix the strange discarding of the color profile when dragging a screenshot thumbnail into an open Illustrator document (Mas OS — Command+shift+4, or Command+shift+3, or Command+shift+5). The thumbnail appears in the corner of the screen prior to the screenshot being saved to the Desktop.

    Using File>Place, or copying/pasting from any other program, or even dragging and dropping a screenshot from the desktop or other folder all cue a warning if there is a profile mismatch. And to my experience, placing in any of those ways does not change the document profile, regardless of what I choose when the warning comes up.

    However: dragging and dropping a screenshot thumbnail preview cues no warning at all, and Illustrator silently discards the colour profile. When working on branding and website design users need to pull in screenshots without losing their brand colours. I have to save two documents all the time as a precaution as this happens in most of my illustrator files. Despite brining in screenshots other ways. Please resolve its been years of pain!!!

    Before crashing, it loses the preview and can't be restored until closing and reopening the file. But even so, the crash is coming.

14. AI HAVE THE WORST QUOTE TOOL OF THE WORLD

    You have to follow Rhino quote tool. There's a lot of mistakes in AI quote tool.
    - I don't want to see "mm" after my quote.
    I MUST have a snap on every elements of my drawing for quote my dimensions
    I MUST have the possibility to snap different quotes to a single point
    I MUST have the possibility to have orthogonal quote from oblique points
    PLESE DO IT QUICKLY!!!! WITH THE LATEST VERSION OF AI CAD TOOLS NO LONGER WORK...I LOST 1500 EUROS OF SOFTWARE BECAUSE OF THIS CHANGE

18. Links not included in Package - Illustrator 2024 Bug

    When I package a file, the option to package images into a links folder is checked, yet it's not packaging them. This is happening on my home and work computer.

19. Global Edit not working correctly

    I use Global Edit to count objects. It often says "Global Edit is currently not supported for more than 1000 highlighted objects." I know that there are a lot less than 1000 objects that I am trying to highlight.

20. Create text larger than 12pt when zoomed out! (Plus wacom type tool error)

    When I'm putting together a HD storyboard, i.e zoomed out to view a range of 1920x1020 artboards, clicking on the document with the text tool just makes a tiny cross symbol and doesn't allow me to type.

    NOTE - Wacom tablet seems to create the cross. Laptop track pad does create text but at 12pt which is crazy small to edit when zoomed out.

    It would be great if Illustrator acknowledged my zoom level and didn't default to giving me text so small that I can't highlight it or easily edit. Constantly zooming in and out every time I want to annotate or use text is a really inefficient workflow. I feel like this didn't used to be an issue.
