1. Place cloud assets and opening cloud documents

   1. Can't place cloud images, literally NOTHING happens. I have to restart computer to be able to place images. Sometimes not even restarting. I thought it was better to keep assets on adobe cloud, I think is better to have them stored somewhere else and used them as files. :/ Cloud is giving WAAAY too much sync problems.

   2. At least twice a week I'm not able to open documents because it says I'm not the user linked to that file, and I have to REINSTALL all apps! I'm getting tired.

2. Color management keeps getting activated when opening files with placed images

   When opening Illustrator file with placed file containing color profile Illustrator automatically actives custom color management profiles even if previously color management was deactivated.

   1. OS version: macOS 15.7.4, Illustrator version: 30.5.1

   2. Steps to reproduce:

   3. With no document open, set color management settings to "Emulate Illustrator 6.0" to deactivate color management.

   4. Create new document, add an image with an embedded color profile, save the file and close it.

   5. Expected behaviour:

   6. On reopening the document the existing color management setting is honored (stays set to "Emulate Illustrator 6.0"), and no query is made to provide color profile settings for the opened file.

   7. The actual result

   8. When reopening the file, Illustrators color management setting gets changed to a custom profile, and you are queried to provide the profile settings for this document, thereby overriding the user defined (and preferred) color management settings.

   Until recently the behaviour was that Illustrator honored the color management settings and did NOT automatically activate and set color profiles. Illustrator 2025 still uses the expected behaviour of keeping the user defined color management settings.

   This behaviour ONLY occurs if images WITH embedded color profiles are placed in the illustrator files. Removing the color profile from the image reverts the behaviour back to the expected behaviour, also files with only vector data are not affected.

   Of course, one could argue that activating color profiles is the safe way to handle colors, and I might agree with this - BUT if I consiously decide to deactivate color management I would expect that Illustrator to honor this decision, and not revert to what it thinks is the correct way. Currently Illustrator 2026 requires to take additional steps every time an Illustrator file is opened which is disruptive and also a potential source for errors.

3. Illustrator on macOS 26.5 hanging on start

   In the past few weeks I'm seeing Adobe Illustrator both 2025 and 2026 are not responding on mac at start up. It's variable, yesterday it was fine, today it's not. Extremely unproductive and disruptive.

   Sometimes the first document selection screen appears but then goes to Not Responding.

4. Cancelling the Print progress dialog leaves document unsaveable — Cmd+S silently no-ops (Illustrator 30.5.1 / macOS 26)

   Cancelling Illustrator's Print dialog before the print job finishes leaves the
   active document in a partially-locked state ("limbo"): the canvas still responds to
   interaction (you can pan/move the artwork), but File → Save / Cmd+S silently does
   nothing — no save dialog, no write, no error. The document cannot be saved through
   the normal UI and must be recovered through scripting or force-quit + data recovery.

   In the observed case the affected document had never been saved to disk, so all work existed only in memory. A user who trusts Cmd+S (which reports no error) can lose everything if the app is force-quit without a
   scripted-save workaround. The failure is silent, which makes it especially dangerous.

   Adobe Illustrator 2026, version 30.5.1
   macOS 26.5.1 (build 25F80)
   Apple Silicon Mac
   Consistent / 100% via the steps below. Not timing-dependent — cancelling the print progress bar at any point triggers it. Has recurred across multiple sessions.

   Steps to Reproduce
   100% reproducible via the standard print flow — not timing-dependent:
   1. Open a document in Illustrator 2026.
   2. File → Print (or Cmd+P) to open the Print dialog.
   3. Click Print. The print/spooling progress bar begins.
   4. Click Cancel on that progress dialog at any point while the bar is moving (it does not matter how early or late — cancelling at any time triggers it).
   5. Return to the document and attempt to save (Cmd+S) → Save silently does nothing.

   Expected Result
   Cancelling a print job returns the document to a normal editable state. Save works
   normally.

   Actual Result
   - The document enters a "limbo" state.
   - Canvas interaction (panning, moving objects) still works.
   - Cmd+S / File → Save does nothing — no dialog, no save, no error message.
   - The condition does not clear on its own; it persists until the app is restarted.

   Technical observations (captured via CLI on the live, stuck process)

   These strongly suggest the menu-command dispatch is gated by a stale modal-session
   flag left over from the cancelled Print dialog, while the scripting/Apple Event path
   is not gated:

   • The Illustrator process was healthy, not hung — process state S (sleeping/normal), not spinning; UI remained responsive.
   • Apple Events were fully functional — scripted reads of the document returned instantly (name, modified, count of documents all responded).
   • modified of current document returned true (unsaved changes present).
   • Reading file path of current document threw an error (document had no resolvable on-disk path — it had never been saved).
   • Cmd+S silently no-op'd, but a scripted save current document in file <path> as Illustrator succeeded, wrote a valid 10.4 MB PDF-compatible .ai, and flipped modified to false.

   The divergence between "menu Save does nothing" and "scripted Save works" is the key
   diagnostic: the write machinery is intact; only the UI command path is being suppressed.

   Workaround (until fixed)

   Run this in Terminal (adjust the destination path/filename) to rescue the document
   without losing work:

5. Blend menu options not available when blend objects are selected (MacOS)(Illustrator 30.5.1)

   I've created a couple of Blend objects in Adobe Illustrator. When I attempt to expand those blends into individual vector objects via the Object/Blend menu, all the options in the menu are greyed out. Despite the blend being selected , not double-clicked into (not in isolation mode) or any other object being selected.

6. Incorrect command names in Exporting Icons tutorial

   For the Illustrator tutorial: Exporting icons
   In the instructions it says Hide Rulers but it should be Show Rulers
   Also in the instructions it says Unlock Guides but it should say Lock Guides.
   With tutorials in general need to specify the Workspace because some workspaces offer different options than others and can be missing when doing a tutorial.

7. New proofread feature finds that dummy text is violating the community guidelines

   This is more fun that a real problem, but some people may be irritated that the new proofread function finds words that violate the community guidelines when used on standard "Lorem ipsum ..." dummy text. ;-)

   Maybe this should be whitelistet somehow.

   This is a follow-up regarding a previously acknowledged bug (Case: ADB-42685232-Q2L9). Despite being confirmed as a bug, it remains unfixed in version 26.5.

   Issue:
   My custom keyboard shortcut (Cmd+Shift+F9) assigned to a specific "Align" command is being forcefully overwritten by the default "Pathfinder" panel shortcut upon every application launch.

   Impact:
   I have attempted to create and save new shortcut sets, but the application resets these to default every time it launches. This constant re-configuration disrupts my professional workflow and reduces productivity.

   Request:
   As this issue has been previously acknowledged, I request an update on the progress of the fix and a clear timeline for a permanent resolution. If a fix is not currently available, please provide a verified workaround that prevents the application from overwriting user-defined shortcuts.

9. Auto activate fonts option turns back on by it self

   Auto font activate keeps turning back on after I turn it off. I do not want it on because I use my own font service and sometimes I already have the fonts. When it auto adds the font it makes it so the font doesn't work at all then I have to go in cc app and scroll forever (because there is no search) to remove the font.

   Apparently the only fix is to completely turn of adobe fonts from the CC app which will remove all adobe fonts which is not what I want to do!! I still use it I just want to have the option to activate them my self if I need them.

10. Unicode - or wrong code - in file names

    File names with strange characters produce strange and inconsistent info in the DocumentAfterSave and DocumentAfterActivate events. I keep adding regexes to my "fix name" routine....
    These messages belong to the same file:

12. Illustrator on Windows 11 does not reflect custom paper size selected in printer preferences

    I use Adobe Illustrator for production label printing with a tsc label printer.

    On Windows 10, when I opened Illustrator Print > Setup > Printer Preferences, changed or created a custom paper size, and clicked OK, the selected paper size was immediately reflected in Illustrator’s print dialog.

    After upgrading to Windows 11, this no longer works.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open an Illustrator file.
    2. Go to File > Print.
    3. Click Setup / Preferences for the printer.
    4. Create or select a custom paper size in the printer driver.
    5. Click OK and return to Illustrator’s print dialog.

    Expected result:
    The paper size selected in the printer driver should be reflected automatically in Illustrator’s print dialog.

    Actual result:
    Illustrator does not update to the selected paper size. The newly created paper size appears in the list, but I have to manually scroll through the media size list and select it again.

    This is a serious production issue because label sizes change frequently in 1 mm increments. It worked correctly on Windows 10 but not on Windows 11.

    Environment:
    - Windows 11
    - Adobe Illustrator version: 30.4

13. フォントアクティベートがイラレで反映されない

    AdobeCCから新規フォントをアクティベートONをしても、イラレの方では反映されません。
    また、イラレのフォントパネルから検索→クラウドからインストールする場合は永遠と読み込み中になり、少し時間が経つと読み込みもなくなってしまいます。

    ・AdobeCCの再インストール→再起動
    ・AdobeCCでのフォント無効化　ON/OFF
    ・イラレ側でのフォント自動アクティベート外す
    ・フォントのキャッシュ削除

    など試みましたが改善無しです。
    必要なフォントが使用できずかなり困っています。

15. Illustrator on iPad crashes

    J'ai un Ipad 9ème Génération version 26.4.2 , quand j'essaye d'ouvrir un fichier qu'il soit existant ou nouveau Illustrator crash. Sur mon PC le logiciel fonctionne correctement tant dis que photoshop et les autres logiciels de la suite adobe fonctionne également sur la tablette. Ce n'est pas la première fois que ce bug arrive. Quelqu'un aurait une solution ? Merci

16. Always crashes upon clicking All Formats (*.AI; *.AIT;...) button in the Open File dialogue box

    Any time I try to open a file and ACCIDENTALLY hit the button All Formats, Illustrator freezes and stops responding. I have to close the program. This issue has been consistent across multiple versions and 2 computers, and happens every single time.

    "Exportar para Telas" não mantém o caminho de destino da pasta de origem do arquivo

    Em versões anteriores do Illustrator (até a 24.1.3), o diálogo "Exportar para Telas" usava automaticamente a pasta do arquivo .ai como destino padrão de exportação, e lembrava o caminho entre sessões. Esse comportamento foi alterado em alguma atualização posterior e, desde então, o caminho de exportação é resetado toda vez que o Illustrator é reiniciado.

    Embora a correção tenha sido anunciada no Beta 29.5.52 (março de 2025), o comportamento ainda não está funcionando de forma consistente na versão de release geral.

    Comportamento esperado: ao reabrir o Illustrator e usar "Exportar para Telas", o caminho de destino deveria ser mantido — preferencialmente o mesmo da última exportação ou, como padrão, a pasta onde o arquivo .ai está salvo.

    Comportamento atual: o caminho de exportação é resetado a cada reinicialização do aplicativo, obrigando o usuário a navegar manualmente até a pasta de destino em toda nova sessão.

    Essa é uma funcionalidade básica que impacta diretamente a produtividade no dia a dia. Solicito que a correção seja consolidada e entregue de forma estável na versão de release geral o quanto antes.

    "Exportar para Telas" não mantém o caminho de destino da pasta de origem do arquivo

    Em versões anteriores do Illustrator (até a 24.1.3), o diálogo "Exportar para Telas" usava automaticamente a pasta do arquivo .ai como destino padrão de exportação, e lembrava o caminho entre sessões. Esse comportamento foi alterado em alguma atualização posterior e, desde então, o caminho de exportação é resetado toda vez que o Illustrator é reiniciado.

    Embora a correção tenha sido anunciada no Beta 29.5.52 (março de 2025), o comportamento ainda não está funcionando de forma consistente na versão de release geral.

18. Not working GPU - not active on MAC Studio M2 Ultra

    I have a problem with GPU display on my MAC Studio 2023 M2 Ultra with MAC OS 26.4.1 TAHOE.

    • when I turn off or on the ruler display, the screen flashes black and the Display with GPU function is deactivated.
    • the same situation occurs when I have a grouped object, when I want to Edit it. The screen flashes black and the GPU does not work.

    It has been doing this since Illustrator version 30.3 after the MAC OS update to 26.4.1. I have to close the application and after reopening it, the GPU is active! But just hide the ruler, or edit a grouped object, or objects with a selected mask, the same thing happens.

    It can't be worked on !!

19. Cursor disappearing when in Illustrator after having a different app open

    I had my cursor disappearing in Illustrator whilst in split screen with Discord and Illustrator. Cursor was visible in Discord but the moment i went to Illustrator, it disappeared.

20. 日本語入力ができなくなるバグ

    【不具合報告】macOS Tahoe 標準日本語 IME が Adobe Illustrator でインライン入力に失敗する

    ■ 環境
    ・macOS Tahoe (26)
    ・Adobe Illustrator 29.8.6 および 30.3 の両バージョンで共通して発生
    ・IME: macOS 標準日本語入力（ライブ変換オフ）
    ・ハードウェア: Apple Silicon Mac

    ■ 症状
    Illustrator のテキストツールで日本語を入力しようとすると、未確定文字がアプリケーション内のカーソル位置（インライン）に表示されず、画面左下にフローティング変換ウィンドウとして表示される。変換ウィンドウ内で確定（Return）を押してもアプリケーション側に文字が入力されず、ウィンドウも消えない。

    Illustrator を再起動すると一時的に回復するが、数十分〜数時間の作業後に再発する。この症状は Illustrator のバージョンを変えても変わらないため、macOS Tahoe 側の IME の実装に起因する問題と考えられる。

    ■ 再現手順
    1. Illustrator を起動し、任意のドキュメントを開く
    2. テキストツールでテキストオブジェクトをダブルクリック
    3. 数十分〜数時間日本語入力を継続する
    4. 値わず、未確定文字がインラインではなく左下のフローティングウィンドウに出るようになる

    ■ 試みた対処（すべて効果なし）
    ・アプリケーションおよびシステムの再起動
    ・対象アプリケーションのキャッシュ・環境設定リセット
    ・フォントキャッシュのクリア
    ・入力ソースの再登録
    ・ライブ変換の ON/OFF 切り替え
    ・アプリケーシンのバージョンダウングレード（30.3 → 29.8.6）

    ■ 鈴決した事実
    AppleScript による Illustrator への JavaScript 実行命令は正常に通るため、Apple Events 自体のブロックはない。IME とアプリケーション間のインライン入力連携（Text Input Client プロトコル）が切れることが原因と考えられる。

    ■ 要望
    macOS Tahoe の標準日本語 IME において、長時間使用後にインライン入力セッションが失われる不具合を修正していただきたい。特に Adobe Illustrator のようなプロフェッショナル送のドローイングアプリケーションでの再現性が高い。
