Text Boxes won't Scale or Flip
IllustratorCC 22.0.1 running under OSX 10.12.6
Select text box and either attempt to flip (Reflect tool using vertical axis) or scale using the Scale tool. Scale fails both dragging to scale, or double-clicking the Scale tool and inputting numeric scale value.
Text box scales or flips horizontal, as in all previous versions of AI.
Error message reading: "Can't scale the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too large."

Can't move paragraph indent markers back to 0 in tab panel
Illustrator CC 2018
Windows 10When I try to move the top or bottom indent markers back to zero, it snaps back to its original place.
If I type 0 in the X: box, it doesn't work.
If I set it to 1, cliclk in the X: box and press the down arrow on my keyboard, it doens't work.The only way to set it back is via the Paragraph panel.

Problem selecting Text Area background with direct selection
Illustrator CC 2018
Windows 10When I want to select the background of a Text Area with the direct selection tool (white arrow), I can only do so by clicking on the edge or half a pixel inside it, or it will select the text (unless there's free space under the text, which doesn't happen if you the block is automatically resized).
I have checked on Mac, you can click anywhere inside the box where there is no text (eg the end of any line if text aligned is left) to select the background.

Clicking to the side of a (point) text doens't put cursor at the end of line

Mac OS X El Capitan and Windows 10This used to work on CS6 (at least on Mac): with type tool selected, having clicked anywhere in the middle of a text (point, not area), if I wanted to go to the end of the line (eg to continue typing), I could click anywhere to the right of the text and the cursor would move to the end of the line.
Now, if I do that, it deselects the text (sometimes creates a new point text.
If I want to continue typing, I have to click exactly just…

Ultra-slow cycling through font names with arrows and focus in Font Family field
When I try to cycle through font family list with focus set in Font Family field, it takes about 1-2 second for AI CC2018 to change both name and actual font for selected object (but it does it as ultra-fast when you drop down this field!) AI CC2017 does it a bit faster (0.5-1 second).

Cursor jumps while editing Font Family name
When I try to change font name from HeliosCondBlackC to HeliosBlackC (both are installed), erasing part of the name, CC2018 moves cursor to the end (while CC2017 does not)
I also have 'Entire Font name' option chosen (and never change it), but cursor still jumps to the end.12 votesI am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our release – 23.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

can´t use kerning between two characters
Hi,
I can´t use the "kerning between two letters" in the characters palette when working on my Imac with Cintiq plugged in. This part of the characters palette is set to "Auto". The pop up with "metrical" and "optical" is not showing up. I can kern between two characters manually but would like to set a whole word two optical. The bug disappears when I am plugging of my Cintiq and working with the mouse on my Imac. Horrible. Fix this.

When snap to grid is on, it will only create new text. It won't select existing text for editing - probably because it isn't on the grid. This never used to happen before the latest update.

most fonts not rendering
I have to continually uninstall and reinstall 75% of my fonts! They show up in the panel, but do not render when selected. This is way beyond aggravating and is taking up hours of my time daily.
These are fonts on my hard drive, not typekit or any other font service. using Windows 10 and Illustrator CC 2018 (happened intermittently with 2017, now it's everytime I open Illustrator or let it sit open for more than a few hours)2 votesClosing the ticket since didn’t hear back from customer.

AI CC2018 doesn't show certain font styles, while CC2017 does
I have ITC FrizQuadrata installed. This font family has 4 styles: normal, italic, bold and bold italic.
AI CC2017 does show all four.
CC2018 shows only one — 'ITC'.It doesn't show it when you type family name, it doesn't show other styles in drop-down style list.
If I copy/paste text with needed font family style from 2017 to 2018, AI will show me two identical font names but two different preview near them (and again no italics).2 votesPlease get in touch with us at sharewithai@adobe.com
Please create a sample file in CC 2017 with styles that you do not see in CC 2018. Create a package out of it so that we also get the font files for investigation and share the package with us. For sharing the package you can either upload to your creative cloud files or any other file sharing system like Dropbox, Wetransfer etc..Warm Regards,

Type reverting & doing all sorts of weird things
The new Illustrator's type feature behaves strangely. The font reverts to the 1 I chose previously when I do some things such as discard the Offset Path setting I've set for it it in the Appearance Panel.

Kerning Font Characters (Letters) Causes Curser to Jump Around
While kerning letters in a statement, each time I press the up arrow to give more space or to press the down arrow to shrink space between letters, the curser jumps to the second line in some random spot. I have to move the curser back each time I press the up arrow and down arrow. This is defiantly a bug.

My text is being converted automatically to shapes
I am working on a project (wordle project) and I have a layer where I put text; Every time I open the file after I had saved it, I find the new text converted to shapes :s. This is so frustrating.

Scaling type reverts to original size
I'm trying to scale up live text and it keeps reverting to the original size. This happens both with and without the shift key.

editing type creates a new box of type
When editing type clicking on other part of the sentence creates a new box of type instead of putting the cursor in the place I will like to edit.

hebrew punctuation
hebrew punctuation problem.
right now (finally, thank you) you can write in hebrew right-to-left.
BUT the punctuation still comes out always in the wrong direction.
I attach an example.

Text and Objects Randomly Rotating
When I move text or an object, I will always notice they get slightly rotated. It's hard for the eye to see it sometimes, but the guide lines will show that things get slightly rotated sometimes for no reason.

character panel
Please allow this shortcut to work again - No longer able to drag mouse left or right over the text tools (font size, leading, tracking, etc.) to quickly adjust the value lower or higher. This is helpful when designing quickly vs. typing in the exact value or using the arrows to increase/decrease.
This is still possible in the Photoshop update - however, it is buggy and does not work correctly anymore.
