1. General Performance Issues and Font Issues

   The Issue that I'm having see screenshots happens randomly in adobe applications like Illustrator.

   I followed the instruction the adobe support gave me with the link, but there where no issue so I send you the last step, more details. Re-install fonts or Creative Cloud etc. don't solve the problem. I have this problems here and there since more than a year now.

   macOS Mojave Version 10.14.02 (Issue appears also in older versions)

   The latest Issue I have sometimes is, If I save the Illustrator file and saving is done, Illustrator jumps back 3-4 steps (undo). So after I save I will see a older version of my design in illustrator, which makes working on the artwork confusing, did it save, delete, what happend. After I re-open the file everything is back where I saved it.

   Another issue that I run into is that If I select a object a bigger bounding box appears, containing other elements somewhere on the artboard. In relation to that I'm also sometimes unable to select objects and move them, the bounding box moves or the object jumps back to its position.

   I can't explain the issues more, I just share my experience and these issues happen randomly so capturing those is like catching air. I taked already with the adobe support and followed all instruction but the team still don't know what it is and how to fix it.

   I wish that in 2019 the overall performance of illustrator gets better.

2. Type Box fills with x's

   When I choose the Type Box tool, and click in the document to create a Type Box or simply place text, as soon as the box is created, it fills with X's/squares and goes off on it's own continually typing the X/square.

   At that point I am not touching the keyboard, there is no key being held down, yet it seems to be "stuck" in creating the X/square.

   Initially it only happened with Myriad Pro, so I uninstalled that font. Then it continued to do it with Arial. Now it does it, no matter what. I've un-installed Illustrator and re-installed and am still dealing with the same issue. I've attached a video here. You'll see the first time I go to type, it does it.

   Then, I create a new box and it does not do it. It works normally.

   I create another box, and it starts doing it again. I am not touching the keyboard or any keys when the x/square boxes go off on their own.

   When I do try to continue typing, you'll see the text continue to run away even when parts of words appear, the x/square shows up in the middle.

   OS: Windows
   Version: 10.0
   System Architecture: x64
   Built-In Memory: 8097 MB

5. "Create Outlines" is causing text to move from its original position !

   When outlining text in artwork to send to the printer, the text moves from its original position by a fraction.
   This is catastrophic for finished art purposes.
   Dealing with misaligned print can be hard enough without the file being off from the beginning.

6. text edit

   Editing text in Illustrator 2019 is so difficult -- there's a heavy lag, and it is incredibly frustrating. This is size 12 font, small file -- there is no reason why editing this text should be lagging, and I've noticed others having the same problem. Please fix this ASAP!

7. Glyph rendering bug with non-empty space char on OT-SVG fonts

   The space character is not rendered consistently when it includes an SVG glyph:

   • The glyph is invisible by default
   • But - as expected - it is visible in full color when moving the text object, and in greyscale version when switching to Outline mode

   I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.3.1 which is available worldwide now.

   Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

8. Unable to uncheck Type Pref Indic options & Fill object with placeholder text on preference migration from 22.1

   1. MacOS Sierra ; Illustrator CC 23.0.1
   2. I'm trying to get the punctuation right while typing in Hindi, but I can't select "Indic Options". I went to Preferences>Type>Language Options. I can select "Show East Asian Options" but i can't seem to select "Show Indic Options" which is a bug.
   3. I expected to type correctly in Hindi
   4. I can't type in Hindi with the right punctuation and I'm on a strict deadline! Help

9. Text Boxes & resizing objects in Illustrator Behaving Strangely

   This might be difficult to explain, but at the moment, when pasting text within Illustrator (it can be from a different artboard within the doc, or from a different Illustrator doc, or Word, basically it doesn't seem to matter where the text comes from) or if just create a new text box and type within it, and try to resize the box, it seems to create more text boxes within the main box, and the text would 'snap' into the smaller box. If I stretch the box wider, the text will 'snap' back into the bigger box again, and I can then delete the randomly created text box as it is empty and not affected anymore. If I keep moving the edges of the text box around, every time the text within it is affected by moving or not having enough space it will just pop a new box. It will carry on indefinitely as long as I'm shifting the size around.

   This only happens when creating text boxes that you can resize without affecting the size of the text inside it. Typing without a text box seems to be fine. It has also started doing it with any objects within Illustrator. For example, I create a basic rectangle shape. Then, using the bounding box, I drag a corner to resize it, and as I do that, it is generating more rectangles as I go. In the layers panel, they are listed as normal, as if I duplicated the shapes or text boxes.

    can't copy Text from Illustrator to word (presumably since cc 2017). The paste is always empty.

14. Rendered text doesn't match its edges or its true state visible in Outline mode

    Text content differs from edges and "path preview" (Cmd Y) to print preview (or GPU).
    In my example, the word "Optipro" appears at the GPU Preview and disappears when I use the Cmd Y preview.

15. Cursor disapears when against text frame

    Cursor can not be seen when at the beginning of a sentence as it blends in with text box. Please make text cursor larger/wider.

16. Wrong font preview for RTL languages

    There are a few problems with the new fonts preview in the last version of Illustrator.
    1. Even though 'Selected Text' preview option is selected the preview shows first five Hebrew alphabet letters instead.
    2. This happens weather the text box is selected or the text itself.
    3. Sometimes the 'Selected Text' preview is shown. In those cases it's shown backwards (LTR instead of RTL).

    This happens in spite of the fact that the text box is marked as a 'Hebrew' one and 'RTL Arabic' digits is selected.
    I'm using a Mac running OS X 10.13.6 High Sierra.

    Hi Eli,

    Not all the fonts have all the glyphs available with them to show the preview. For the fonts where glyphs are not available, we show the default sample preview (that’s why you get first five glyphs for those fonts)

17. Text missing in SVG files

    This is the first time trying to use Illustrator since it updated to the newest version (23.0.1) and updating my Mac to High Sierra (10.14). I have previously used Illustrator to edit SVG files, specifically the text in those files. When I open similar SVG files in the new Illustrator, all of my text is missing. My computer is due for a small update which will go through later tonight but this seems like a bug within Illustrator. When I open the SVG in Photoshop 2019 and re-export it as a SVG, I am able to see the text in Illustrator when I import that file, but I can't select anything in the field since Photoshop's manipulated the original vectors. I really don't want to manually add in all my missing text, does anyone have any suggestions? On the picture, the left is a preview of the SVG and the text is visible. On the right, is the SVG in Illustrator with the text missing.

18. spell check english

    My Illustrator is set to default language English USA but it always does spell check in Spanish. I make sure that it is checked for English in the character tab, but even after changing it to English, my spell check goes back to Spanish. I am running Illustrator CC 2019, 23.0

19. Changing leading up and down in Character panel makes it 1 or 1295 pt

    When the leading is set to (Auto), using the up/down arrow UI buttons in the character palette to change the leading results in weird leading sizes. Toggling up from Auto using the up arrow in the UI produces a leading of 1 pt. Toggling down from Auto produces a leading of 1295 pts!

20. font finder/Missing font box keeps loading and unable to activate missing fonts

    Find Font box not working. Example i am missing fonts and when i open that menu it shows the fonts used in the document but the missing ones just have a loading circle next to it and it never stops.

    Also the Missing font box. When i do have the fonts and want to Activate them they will never activate, It just loads for 10mins and stops with out loading the fonts.
