1. Panels Keep Opening While Using Shortcuts

   Panels on the top of the screen keep opening when I try using tool shortcuts. For example, I'll be on the type tool then want to switch to the move tool but when I hit its shortcut (V) it opens the view panel instead (I get that this one doesn't work if I have type selected but I mean when nothing's selected and I want to arrange my type it opens the view panel instead of changing tools). Not sure if this is a common problem but it never happened until the latest update.

   Not sure why there are always app updates that only seem to implement a few new things but then leave each app riddled with bugs that could've easily been avoided. Another one that bothers me is it doesn't save my brushes/brush settings when I close the app - which somewhat makes sense when you want specific brushes on each project BUT if I made my own brush group that I use frequently I'm kind of going to want that rather than the stock brushes, only a few of which are actually useful for my work.

2. Closing while saving dialogue box has a grammatical error.

   The close-while-saving dialogue box says "Close anyways" as an option which bugs me because it should read as "anyway" not "anyways." The latter is grammatically incorrect. Not to mention that "getting saved" is also wrong and should be "being saved"

3. Created actions missing after restart

   I recorded an action for export in dxf and pdf several times. After each restart it is gone. But I created an action for saving in pdf only, this is still there.

5. SVG Text Export - multilayer bug

   I am having an issue with text on a path and after SVG export the code shows the text now broken to multiple layers - this does not translate appropriately to web. This happens specifically if the text path is an angle interval of 45 degrees; intervals of 90 degrees work fine, all other degrees break this text path apart during export.

   I am wondering if there is a way around this, or a different manner in which I should place text so that it may still be placed at a specific angle but remain all on the same layer & rid of individual character transforms.

   An example SVG has been included. Text that appears first is "Happy Halloween!" on a horizontal path, the second is "Happy Halloween!" on a -45 degree path.

6. SVG export with text – line breaks forcing text to convert to outlines

   I've been working on a project that requires SVG files with embedded text and have discovered what seems to be a bug.

   It seemed arbitrary at first, that some text objects would be converted to outlines while others would remain as text. I finally figured out that forced line breaks were the culprit, as illustrated in the screenshots I've attached. The problem is the same whether you use point type or area type objects.

   I'm currently running the latest version of Illustrator (24.1.2) on macOS High Sierra (10.13.6).

7. "Hairline," faint border around PNG exports

   Whenever I export anything as a PNG in Illustrator with a transparent background, the PNG result shows up with a strange faint border around it. I've tried a multitude of "solutions" and nothing has worked, leading me to believe that this is a bug.

   I'm working on a macOS Catalina 10.15.4, and on the most recent version of illustrator (24.1). My processor is 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, and graphics—Intel UHD Graphics 617 1536 MB.

   (The image I have provided is the exported PNG image of that shape, and I've overlapped it ontop of the pre-export to show the "hairline," faint border around my PNG exports.)

   This is a GPU bug. If you toggle the rendering mode with View > View using CPU — no border will get rendered, the PNG actually does not have it. The problem is known though.

8. CC Color Library changes when moving to 2nd monitor

   When using a 2nd monitor, if I move a CC app from the primary laptop monitor to the secondary monitor, the CC Color Library changes. The color shifts are minimal, but enough to be problematic. Additionally, the background color of the library changes from the expected dark gray to a light gray.

   I've verified my monitors and they are calibrated properly, so this is not a monitor calibration issue. I noticed the issue within the last few weeks, less than a month ago.

9. Disappearing Blinking Cursor

   This was previously listed as COMPLETED for "Dialog box text selection missing blinking cursor", but the fact is that this issue is STILL occurring.

   Can you all please fix this blinking cursor issue? This has been happening for a while now and it still hasn't been fixed. Some people have suggested that resetting the preferences fixes this issue, but resetting the preferences does NOT fix the issue.

   It seems to occur when you change the "User Interface" color to either the lightest grey or the 2nd to lightest grey (see attached file).

   When you change your User Interface to one of these light greys, the blinking cursor ALSO changes color accordingly, which is terrible because there's no way you can see these super light grey blinking cursors in the context windows when you're trying to work (see attachments of examples of context windows with light grey user interfaces selected).

11. Freeform Gradient fails at transformation.

    Hey I like the freeform gradient tool. But after it is applied to an object, the gradient has some major issues with resizing and rotation of the object. From what I can tell the points are not truly anchored in the object, so when the shape rotates the gradient points drop off the object, causing them to delete. It's like the gradient floats above the object. Or more frustratingly, sometimes when using the line gradient within the freeform settings, a point will delete causing the lines to cross and lock up, becoming uneditable. Usually, if you are within the gradient, illustrator will give you a warning that it doesn't allow points to be deleted if it causes the lines to cross. But it allows it if it is in some kind of object transformation. If this happens, the only work around I've found is to set the object to a non-freeform gradient, and then switch back to freeform and re-lay out the whole thing.

    Any way, this is super frustrating because I've spent hours and hours redoing gradients. I need to preserve the editability of them. This is on the current illustrator version 24.0.2. please fix the bug, thanks!

14. In-app tutorials not opening

    I am using Adobe Illustrator 2020 24.1.2 that I downloaded from Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop.

    I am operating on a Microsoft Windows 10 Home version 10.0.18363.

    I opened the app and clicked on the in-app tutorials available in the Learn section. The tutorials that opens in browsers open just fine, it is only the in-app tutorials that do not respond in any way when clicked on.

    I expected the in-app tutorial to open and show a step-by-step tutorial by opening a new project, similar to the in-app tutorials in other Adobe apps (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.).

    The actual result was that nothing happened. When the clicker was moved to the tutorial, it was highlighted and the clicker turned into a hand icon. When I clicked onto it nothing opened.

    Everything else other than these tutorials are working fine. My device and Adobe Cloud apps are fully updated, so I am confused why nothing opened when it should have.

16. Align To mode gets changed from Align To Artboard to other modes on its own

    Over the past several Major updates to Illustrator, the Align to function's Default setting keeps getting changed. I prefer to have control over that. As all past versions of Illustrator have allowed. For me: Align to Artboard.

    With the last version capable of running on HIGH SIERRA it was BROKEN AGAIN !!!!

    Adobe's response is to buy a new computer.

    My feeling is Adobe should FIX that last High Sierra version.

    In the middle of a Pandemic/Economic uncertainty, this is not the time to screw customers.

    Individual anchor points fail to move with direct selection tool, and cannot add, delete or modify anchor points. It happens only after a period of time working in a file. If I cut and paste the shape, the ability to manipulate the anchors returns for a time. If I close and reopen the file, the same is true. Working in the print industry, this is a big waste of time dealing with this bug. Happening on all systems in the department. Also just updated to 24.2.3, no change.

19. Export For Screens rememebers destination location (like 24.1.3 and earlier)

    EXPORT FOR SCREENS: In Version 24.2 onwards, Illustrator exports the file to the same folder as the source AI file.

    If I change the destination location, it reverts back to the same folder as the source when I reload Illustrator. Before this version, it would remember the destination location. I like to keep a separate folder for all exports, separate from my AI files.

20. Default save location for "SAVE FOR WEB" in Illustrator 2020 (24.2)

    Hello,
    In version 24.2 of Illustrator the behavior of the SAVE FOR WEB (LEGACY) function has change. In version 24.1 and older, the default saving location vas the last saved location used, in version 24.2 it is the location where the Illustrator (.ai) file is located which is by default. I was wondering if this is a bug or voluntary choice because it affects my work flow considerably even if it may seem like a small detail. I understand the value of saving by default where the Illustrator (.ai) file is located, but I would like to choose the method I prefer. For the moment I have regresed to version 24.1.
