1. “Split Into Grid” creates a single live grid object now instead of independent paths and it's awful.

   Recent versions of Illustrator changed “Split Into Grid” to create a single live grid object instead of independent paths. This completely breaks established illustration, print, and production workflows (stickers, dielines, laser cutting, icon sheets).

   Please restore the previous behavior or add a preference/checkbox to output individual paths by default. Illustrator is an illustration tool, not a layout app.

2. Objects just vanish when rasterizing inside a clipping mask

   Okay, this is seriously annoying. In the latest Illustrator on Windows, if you rasterize inside a clipping mask, poof — your objects are gone.

   Steps (super easy to test):

   Draw a bunch of objects and group them.
   Make a shape and apply a clipping mask.
   Double-click to go inside the group.
   Select everything and rasterize.
   And just like that... everything disappears.

   If you leave even one object out of the selection, they don’t disappear.

   But when you select all → gone.

   If I only rasterize one object, or part of them, it works fine. But if I select all? Illustrator just deletes them.

   This is super frustrating. Rasterizing inside a clipping mask is something I do all the time, and right now it’s basically unusable. Adobe, please fix this ASAP.

   I using the latest version of Illustrator, running on a high spec pc.
   I already tried resetting Illustrator preferences and even reinstalled the program.
   I also updated my graphics card driver.
   Still, the problem isn’t fixed.

3. Using 3d and Materials triggers the "error while processing appearance" message (doesn't work)

   For the last 3 or 4 updates I can't use inflate or any of the options in 3d and Materials, with or without GPU, it won't work.

4. GPU Performance causes lag on RTX 4000 Ada – CPU rendering is smoother

   Illustrator version: 2026 (30.1)
   OS: Windows 11
   GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4000 Ada
   Driver: NVIDIA Studio 591.59

   Description:
   When GPU Performance is enabled, Illustrator becomes less responsive (lag during zoom, pan and object manipulation).
   Disabling GPU Performance makes Illustrator significantly smoother and more responsive.

   This happens even on empty or simple documents.
   The issue is reproducible and does not depend on file complexity.

   Expected behavior:
   GPU acceleration should improve performance, not reduce it.

   This is reportedly fixed in Beta 30.4.0.103. Please update, if possible, and check if it behaves as it should now.

6. All my symbols gets displaced all the times

   Whenever I make symbols for sock label logo, these symbols get randomly gets displaced and moved to another location on the art board by itself. the positioning is completely random and no logic. It's been like this since Illustrator 2025. what is going on???
   Please see attached for example of what I mean random displacement of symbols, all the symbol object have been moved randomly to top right. Only way to fix is to break the symbols and manually move these objects back to where I intended to place. This is a must fix bug. please help!!!!

   Thank you for reporting this issue and for the continued feedback from the community.

   We have investigated this behavior and can confirm that the inability to switch input sources (e.g., Japanese IME) while a save dialog is active on macOS is due to a change in how Apple macOS handles input methods in modal contexts.

   Starting with recent versions of macOS, Apple has changed the way input method switching is managed when certain system dialogs and panels are in focus. As a result, Illustrator's save dialog — which relies on native macOS sheet behavior — is affected by this platform-level constraint.

   As this is a macOS platform behavior change outside of Illustrator's control, the recommended solution is to switch your input source before opening the Save dialog.

8. New Artboard Paste in Front Fails and Select Artboard Fails in Artboards panel

   Illustrator 29.6.1 - Mac
   When starting with more than one artboard.
   If you select all objects on an artboard. Copy.
   Then make a new identical artboard in another position to the artboard you copied artwork from, you cannot select the new artboard and paste in front.
   I suspect it is a bug how illustrator keeps track of how many artboards it has because the name is always artboard [number] and the new artboard number in the name is always incorrectly one higher than the actual number.
   You can no longer select an artboard in the Artboards panel and select objects you create on the new artboard using Select All on active artboard.
   This creates a problem in Extendscript or AppleScript because you can no longer set the active artboard correctly and have it display properly even with redraw. This bug does not occur in 29.5

   Illustrator 29.6.1 - Mac

9. "Apply to All" checkbox or "Replace All" button are missing AGAIN

   Apply to All option for missing/replacing links is missing again in version 28.5. Now instead of being able to click that and replace all links I know have to do the relink step up to 30 times every print file.

   Hello all,

   The 'Apply to all' checkbox has been brought back in the Replace missing link dialogue.

   'Apply to all' checkbox was removed when we introduced the 'Auto-relink' (search for missing links in this folder) functionality, as we though 'auto-relink' is going to take care of the 'replace all' workflow as well. But it didn't work as expected in few cases as pointed out by some of you.

   Hence, with the latest release V29.2 (full roll out happens on Jan 9), we have decided to revert to the earlier experience whereby we are bringing back 'apply to all' checkbox and rolling back the 'auto-relink functionality.

   Because of conflicts, both of these functionality cannot co-exist unless we make some significant changes to the relinking experience.

   As we understand, 'replace all' was a important workflow for most of you, so we decided to quickly bring it back while working on the overall link panel revamp which is going to take sometime.

10. Severe Lag in Adobe Illustrator When Editing Text and Objects—~15s Input Delay on 2MB File

    While working in Adobe Illustrator, I encountered severe performance issues across the entire application. Even with a lightweight file (~2MB), there was an approximately 15-second delay after any action—such as typing text, pressing Enter, or modifying objects. This lag affected not just text input but also general object manipulation and UI interactions.

    The issue persisted despite the file being relatively small. I’ve previously worked on significantly larger and more complex Illustrator files without similar lag. This suggests the problem may not be file size-related, but possibly linked to a software bug or compatibility issue.

    I attempted standard troubleshooting steps, including restarting the application and computer, but the problem remained. This level of unresponsiveness made it nearly impossible to work effectively in Illustrator.

11. L'utilisation de l'outil Pipette nécessite l'utilisation du sélecteur de couleurs et la pression sur Entrée.

    Quand j'utilise la pipette pour sélectionner une couleur (peu importe en rvb ou CMJN) sur des visuels simples, (la plupart du temps) je suis obligée de passer par le sélecteur pour refaire la démarche et obligatoirement je dois appuyer sur entrée pour valider mon choix (si je fais ok ça ne marche pas non plus) (je suis sur mac 14.3.1) j'utilise illustrator 30.0.0 (et ce problème persiste depuis 2- 3versions antérieures déjà. J'avais essayé sur la suivante sans succès non plus. merci pour votre retour

12. Fehler: Zeichenfläche verdoppelt beim Anpassen an Grafik

    Windows 11 Pro, AI.30.2.1.. ich markiere meinen Pfad und öffne "Zeichenflächen". Ich wähle "An ausgewählte Grafik anpassen". Bestätige. Nun sollte Zeichenfläche 1 eine neue Größe haben.
    Währenddessen wird die Zeichenfläche verdoppelt und eine Zeichenfläche 2 erzeugt.
    Der Fehler tritt nicht auf, wenn man sehr lange wartet zwischen den Arbeitsschritten. Also ca. das Fenster 1 Minute geöffnet lässt.

    Das Problem besteht seit ein paar Tagen. Eigentlich sollte die Zeichenfläche nur angepasst werden, nicht verdoppelt.

    The more you zoom in, the more severe the symptoms are.
    There wasn't until the last version of 2023, but it came up at some point.
    Due to the nature of the work, there are many cases where the work is small, so it is enlarged and modified.

    - Upgrade computer RAM, cpu, graphics card
    - Check on 3 computers
    - Initialization
    - Initialize configuration settings
    - rename and reset folders in %appdata%
    - Check after installing an earlier version of illustration
    - Check after installing the latest illustration version
    - Upgrade/downgrade graphics card drivers to the latest
    - Turn off gpu acceleration (not a fundamental solution)
    - Check Windows Update
    - Update/Remove and reinstall the Wacom driver
    - Check by file capacity (at least one letter appears in the blank document. No matter file size.)
    - Pixel Preview settings has always been unchecked
    - The file path is local, not server.

    Expected to be fixed in 30.3 general build. Please try to update and comment back if it’s truly fixed.

16. Bounding box with Use Preview Bounds get calculated wrong for a specific appearance applied

    When Use Preview Bounds is enabled, the bounding box doesn’t hug the object as expected, calculating the final dimensions wrong.
    Just open the faile attached, select the circle, go to the Appearance panel, double-click contents to access the only child of the group, and change the stroke. Once it's changed, the bounding box becomes larger than the actual bounds stays like this until the document is reloaded.

17. Disabled Corner Widget still flashes when I click any of the bounding box’s controls

    I don’t use Corner Widget (I have superior tools for corners) and thus have it disabled in the View menu.
    However, each time I click (but not drag) side or corner markers of the bounding box, these pesky circles in sharp corners flash at me — like the GIF shows.

    ...why do I click it like this in the first place? I love clicking, I think.

19. RGB images embedded into a CMYK document are labeled as RGB still in Control panel

    Illustrator30.0版本 在CMYK模式下 从外面复制图片进文档 图片会是RGB颜色 而不是CMYK

20. After updating my system to Sequoia 15.7.2, the text tools stopped working.

    After updating my system to Sequoia 15.7.2, the text tools stopped working.
    Any action I perform on the text, such as changing the size or font, produces no result. The app slows down significantly. My work has completely stopped because of this.
    I have the latest version, 30.0, installed.
    I tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator, but that didn't help.
    I also tried installing an older version, but the result was the same. Is Illustrator incompatible with the new Sequoia 15.7.2?

    Any ideas?

    Seems like uninstalling Wacom driver could help in this case. If it doesn’t and you have the same exact problem — please upvote and leave a comment.
