1. Copying graphics from CClibraries transforms paths.

   CClibraries has a serious bug.
   adobe's customer support acknowledged having bugs in CClibraries.

   Steps to reproduce
   1) Set the profile to “WEB” when creating a document.
   2) Text object is made an outline.
   3) In the Libraries panel to add graphics
   4) Right-click a graphic in the Libraries panel, and choose the Place Copy option from the context menu.

3. Workspace basics are not appearing and I can't reset workspace

   Basically the title I can only use stuff I have remembered by hotkeys and the option to reset isn't available, I am even unable to change the layout I use entirely, I am new to illustrator and this is very frustrating.

4. Illustrator CC 2019 Will Not Save or Save As on Mac OS Mojave

   I use a Macbook Pro mid 2015 with 16 GB RAM and Mac OSX Mojave 10.14.4. I just updated from CC 2018 to CC2019 at most a week ago. I wish I could go back, because at least in CC 2018 I could save.

   When I tried saving a file I have already saved before, with this newest version of the program even, it gives me the error message of "file not found." I go and try to open the file, make sure I'm not just working on a different version, and that "file is already open."

   I try to make a new document, go to save the document. I receive error "cannot save file. .278"

   What does that even mean?

   Restarting my work isn't really an option at this point, either. Please get it fixed quickly. Dealing with a shoddy program is not what I would expect for the price I pay every month.

5. Illustrator is changing around my CMYK values in saved swatches

   Illustrator is changing around my CMYK values in saved swatches... For example. I punch in the CMYK values for PMS 427... and hit save... Then when I bring up the file it is completely different values

6. undo is broken

   Undo is just wonky. I hit Undo, and rather than just stepping back one step, it jumps several actions backward, and the Redo steps can't even get back to where I was. I wish I could provide more info, but it's just jacked, so I can't trace the problem.

7. Part of text disappears when printing upside-down

   I am printing a piece of art with text. When rotating the document upside down in the print dialogue window, the printed version lacks letters. It looks like only the first letter gets printed. This is not a printer issue either, tested printing from PDF and it worked fine.
   See attached for the example. The right half is how it should be, left half is what comes out - small "B" is missing.

8. Subtracted shapes get drawn with a skewed artifact covering them at the top

   This is an odd issue that is kind of hard to explain.
   Whenever I am using the Minus Front tool on some objects, the appearance doesn't end up quite right. For example, I subtracted these outlined text characters from a black background. The blue outlines show that they were subtracted correctly, but the white background showing through is cut off in the wrong spots?

9. Transparency on PNG not supported when imported or replaced

   Transparency mask on the png file shows as white when imported or replaced into illustrator data created last week.

   Transparency on the original png file on the illustrator is intact. The problem is seen only when the new png file is uploaded.

   I thought it may be the png file, but the problem occurs only on the illustrator.

   The problem started after updating both Photoshop 2019 and Illustrator 2019.

10. Frequent crash Illustrator 2019 23.1.1.

    Crashes 4-8 times a day, just like that. Illustrator crashes even if you just walk away from the computer and do nothing. Then he just closes the program. Without notification. When opening the file again, he will only give a message that he has saved it as a 'recovered' file.

11. Dropbox saving issue

    When I try to save a new file on, save as and choose it to save on dropbox. The folder I've selected that I want my file in, immediately start syncing all my online-only files to local.

    Please see attached for visual explanation.

    Does any1 know a way to work around this?

12. AI doesn't warn about matching hotkeys for commands and actions

    Actions can only be bound to F-keys.
    Keyboard shortcuts can be match to almost anything, including F-keys.
    When user tries to register new keyboard shortcut that already exists, AI warns them about conflict.
    But when user creates new shortcut for F-combination, already taken by action, AI says nothing.
    For example, if one of my actions uses Ctrl+Shift+F2, and then I want to assign same Ctrl+Shift+F2 for 'Change case' command, AI won't notify me. Action will run, but not a command then. If I uses Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F2 for that (or any) command, it still won't run, but action will do.

13. Save as PDF in CC2020 cannot open with CC2014

    I noticed if I was to save a PDF file in CC2020, a customer using CC2014 is unable to open it. I compared the PDF files to see how it is different.

    If a PDF was saved using CC2014 it generates the colors like this:

    [ /Separation /ATHLETIC#20GOLD /DeviceCMYK << /C0 [ 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 0.000000 ]

    But If a PDF was saved using CC2020 it generates the colors like this:
    [/Separation/ATHLETIC#20GOLD/DeviceCMYK<</C0[0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0]

    Due to this settle difference, can this be the reason why the file is unable to open in CC2014?

14. Measurement labels is not showing properly (Smart Guide)

    Hello,

    I found a bug that is not showing measurement labels properly on a specific environment.

    in Windows 10 Pro Korean,
    English version of Illustrator CC is not showing measurement labels properly (it just shows a narrow gray box, no text at all inside of the box).

    When I install Korean version of Illustrator CC, it shows the measurement labels properly. I think this causes because of the font issues or Windows local system.

    I hope this bug is going to be fixed as soon as possible.

15. image trace quick action does nothing...

    I opened a transparent PNG file in Illustrator, hoping to do a simple quick vector conversion, when I pressed the "Image Trace" button in the Quick Actions menu, in the properties toolbar, I got precisely bubcuss. Just nothing - no feedback, no error, no expected menu of options. Just nothing. The other quick actions don't seem to do anything at all either.

16. App unresponsive due to tour window

    MacOS Mojave, Late 2013 iMac

    This is probably a rare event, but it should never happen and if this "feature" behaved consistently with MacOS, it wouldn't ever happen:

    The other day I launched Illustrator, and immediately pushed the window down and out of the way so I could access multiple files on the desktop. I didn't realize this was the first time I'd launched Illustrator since an update, so a tour window had popped up, but since I had shoved the entire workspace window down right away, I couldn't see the tour window.

    What happened was that I attempted to open files, interact with Illustrator, but nothing would happen. The tour window that I couldn't see (because it was anchored to a window that was mostly out of sight) was waiting for me to take an action on it.

    I tried grabbing the window title bar and raising it back into view, but apparently the tour window stops any other actions in Illustrator. I couldn't "grab" the window frame and move it back into view.

    I realized Illustrator probably had some sort of window like that open, waiting for input, so I attempted to just hit Return (that should universally trigger the "Okay" button on such a window) but nothing happened. Apparently the tour window is immune to keyboard input, requiring a mouse click.

    When I couldn't get Illustrator to do ANYTHING ELSE, I attempted to force quit it through the application manager, but it refused to quit. Apparently the tour window acted like a foot in the door or something. I couldn't even shut down my computer normally because when it got to Illustrator, Illustrator wouldn't give up, eventually having to force it to shut down and then restart.

    THAT IS CRAZY. Obviously it's a rare circumstance that the window is hidden but the offer of a tour shouldn't block all other activity except for a very specific mouse click--it's not mission critical, but it blocks any other action than clicking "skip" or "Okay"

    That's not the way the OS works, and it shouldn't be the way this window works.

18. Illustrator fundamentals

    • When panning around in mid full screen view, defect stripes keeps appearing all over the screen. Disappears when zooming one time.
    • Zoom should be zooming to position of mouse, but it zooms "all over the place" when close up.
    • Pathfinder substract creates unnecessary amount of anchor points + gaps. Even with setting 0,001 in Pathfinfer options

    This has been going on for years, and Adobe is informed about these fundamental bugs several times. Time to fix the fundamentals and clean up the bugs.
