1. slow cursor on second monitor when using Adobe Illustrator - only while using Ai

   When I used illustrator on my second monitor, the mouse cursor is astoundingly slow and a reduced range across the screen. This only happens when I use illustrator, not other applications. I am using a macOS Mohave 10.14.5 (18F132) and am connecting to my monitor with an HDMI using an HDMI/USB adapter for my laptop.

   This costs me in time and efficiency at my job, as I'm sure it does for other people, who have posted similar complaints on adobe forums. Please fix it!

2. Moving an artboard using the Artboard Tool moves non-overlapping paths and shapes in adjacent artboards

   Moving an artboard should only move paths and shapes within the artboard and paths and shapes overlapped from other artboards. If possible, overlapped paths and shapes should only move if a majority is in the selected artboard.

3. UI Panels not rendering with Catalina update

   The panels in the user interface for both Illustrator and Photoshop have started not rendering properly (aka disappearing) both for the document panel and for workspace panels the ever since upgrading to Catalina on Mac. This most commonly happens when pressing "F" to switch between document views. Other times when switching from another application to the Illustrator or Photoshop window, the entire document disappears despite the Window dropdown menu saying it is open.

   I have contacted Adobe Customer Support and they have continually told me to delete my preference files (Illustrator) or turn on/off Legacy compositing (Photoshop). Despite doing these, neither has fixed the problem. How can this be solved for good? It's highly disruptive to my workflow.

6. Illustrator slow on Retina display

   Hi,

   Adobe Illustrator is running slow/lagging on a Retina display (Zooming, using overprint preview). Doing the same operations when the document is located on an external monitor (Dell, no hdpi), all works well.

   I've tried switching between GPU/CPU rendering, disabling animated zoom, removing the preferences, ... without any luck.

   Does anyone have any idea's on how to solve this?

   I'm using a MacBook Pro, 16GB RAM, Radeon Pro 450 2048MB...

7. Change to dimension in properties panel applies to wrong object in certain situation...

   Minor bug. To reproduce:

   Have at least two objects on screen.
   Select one.
   In the properties panel, change the width or height but do not press enter or tab.
   Select the other object.

   Result: The change in dimension is applied to the second object, not the first.

8. Reflect tool showing artifacts when flip mirroring a live paint group

   A live paint tool when mirroring via Reflect (O) function, seems to always distort parts of the flipped and copied image, sample here. But I've had worse results.

9. PDF Import Problem

   Opening a PDF in Illustrator 2019 23.1.1 - I select which page I want to open eg. 2 of 2, and it only opens the first page (not the page I wanted). No I'm not inputing the page numbers in the preview page panel (just in case you think that I am).

   Import PDF pages as links is 'unchecked'.

   Troubleshooting:

   1) It works correctly if I open 'all' page with 'links checked'.
   2) It works correctly if I open 'all' pages with 'links unchecked'.

10. Character/Paragraph panels - lazy and/or incorrect updating

    Illustrator 23.0.3 on Win10

    It is vitally important to me that the Character and Paragraph panels tell me the truth at all times: an accurate description of the properties in play based on the selected text or the cursor position if nothing is selected.

    I constantly run into the problem where I select a line of text and the 'space before' and 'space after' controls in the Paragraph panel are completely wrong. Clicking the up/down arrows on the controls will change the displayed (wrong) value, and the text will suddenly leap to god-knows-where, rather than the desired "up or down by 1pt" relative to the other text in the paragraph.

    Sometimes I can see the correct current values for the text by putting the cursor in the line and moving it around with the arrow keys. The actual current values will briefly display before being replaced with Illustrator's mistaken idea of what values should be displayed.

    See attached video of the Character panel doing the same thing. The cursor is on a line of text that is set in Adobe Caslon at 25pt, but the panel is telling me it's Myriad Pro 12pt. Each time I move the cursor, the correct values are (briefly) displayed before being replaced with the uselessly wrong values. FWIW, the wrong values are the defaults: "[Normal Character Style]" and "[Normal Paragraph Style]" in the Character/Paragraph Styles panels, and if I created a new text box and started typing, yes, I'd get Myriad Pro 12/14.4. But having already typed text and changed its style to something else, I need the panels to show those values.

    It's more than a little irritating.

11. Cannot make invisible/visible layers

    Cannot manage my layers. The "eye" of the layers look like not working.
    Like you can see in my capture, the layers are not visible mode but still visible.

    Restarting computer is a waste of time, didnt work.
    I need this function to work obviusly. So fix them because I must spend my time looking for another version ( and I paid for the 2020 )

12. An unknown error has occured. Receiving message when opening ai and/or pdf files. CC 2019

    1. I'm working on iMac17,1 with 13.2GHz using illustrator CC 2019

    2. Whether opening a file from finder folder through the program, via file > open I am receiving the same message when opening ai and/or pdf files: " An unknown error has occured. "

    3. This is all of a sudden. I expected the files to open like they normally would, unless it was a corrupt file from a client.

    4. I receive: " An unknown error has occured. "

    I uninstalled and re-installed CC 2019 with no changes.

13. Illustrator version 23.1 won't launch

    Illustrator version 23.1 will not launch after initial opening upon install. On Windows 10 64 bit. It also will not start in safe mode. I uninstalled that version and went back to 23.0.6 and it seems to works fine.

14. Scale Options greyed out

    The Scale Dialog gives a lot of checkboxes. Unfortunately, some are only accesible for Pattern filled objects.

    I would like to be able to Scale Strokes only, without scaling the Objects.

15. Some of AI file paths disappear when exporting to PNG or JPG

    A simple AI file containing the logo and text (all outlined) is saved fine as AI or PDF, but if I try to export it to PNG or JPG, some of the paths contained within the image disappear and are not rendered in the resulting raster file. I am attaching the master AI file, and the rendered PNG file (created by going to File > Export As > PNG). As you will see, the rendered PNG file is missing the ALFRA name within the square white shape. FYI, I sent the file over to a friend of mine and he was able to export the file to PNG fine using CS5 version of AI. It seems there is a bug that prevents the correct export of a vector file to a raster image.
    I checked all the settings and everything looks ok. Cannot figure out the issue.

16. Illustrator wont show correct color of png imported

    Since I have updated to the newest version I can't seem to upload pngs into Illustrator. They show as if they are negative. I run on a MacBook Pro Mac OS Mojave Version 10.14.1. Illustrator 23.0.1

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

18. Spanish mistraslation

    When you choose Object > Path > Simplify and go to advanced options, the line: "Show original path" is mistranslated to: "Mostrar ruta original". It should be: "Motrar trazado original".

    "Path" could mean ruta or trazado, in this case means trazado.

19. The PDF is unprotected automatically after I save a protected file in Illustrator.

    I had tried to open a protected PDF in illustrator and made some changes. After I clicked the "Save" button, I found that the PDF was not protected with password anymore. Could I keep it protected as original file do, without saving as a new file and protect it again? Thanks!

20. Make CMD+D to behave the same way in both Illustrator and InDesign

    I like the CMD+D on Illustrator but want that on InDesign for duplicating things easier, and I also like the CMD+D on InDesign and I want that on Illustrator to relink photos easier. So maybe keep the CMD+D the same in both and create a new left hand command for the other?

    You can reassign these commands to new hotkeys manually to any combination you need, using Keyboard Shortcuts dialog.

    If you think that all Adobe apps should have the same keyboard shortcuts anyway, you can try to upvote this general request.
