Will deselect anything that is not visible
Since the last update if you have a long file and want to select a big chink of it everything has to be visible while selecting. Otherwise, if I start dragging from the middle let's say and have to scroll until I get till the end of the document/artboard, everything that went off screen get deselected and I'm only left with the last chunk of content that is visible. Slows down a lot working on web designs when you have to move a big chunk of content around because you've changed something before it.

Font Suggestion/Preview Font NOT Working on MAC's
I select a text box on my art board and go to the character palette to change the font. I was able to use the arrow keys up and down and see the font change on the art board. This feature no longer works with CC2018 Mac.
Or I was able to start typing a font name into the Character Palette and suggestions would pop up. This feature no longer works with CC2018 Mac.
I find this very irritating and a difficult way to work. This only happens on my MAC, my PC still works.

The software is glitching and refusing to open certain Illustrator files.
I have to quit and open the software multiple times before I can get one file to open in this latest update.

Hard crash GPU rendering MBP2016 - High Sierra
I run a cleanly installed MBP2016:
High Sierra 10.13.4
3.3GHz i7
16GB ram
1TB SSDIllustrator Version 22.1
On the current version of OS en Illustrator, but also for the past couple of releases I have experienced very frequent hard crashes of Illustrator when GPU preview is enabled.
At random times, Illustrator will freeze, immediately after the entire system and only a hard reboot will bring it back.
The phenomenon is frequent yet completely random (no obvious triggers).
Disabling GPU preview immediately stops this from occurring.
No obvious logs are generated during the event but I can run sysdiagnose if…

Unable to Crop to Artboard when Exporting SVG's through "Export for Screens"
When exporting my artboards using Export for Screens, I'm unable to crop the artwork to the bounds of the artboard. The thumbnails that show up in the export flow look great, but the output files contain all art elements that are touching the artboard. See screenshots. Output svg attached.

Placed .tiff file making vector image disappear
In my line of work we have "distresses" that we place over the vector image that we've created. The distresses are .tiff files and with the last update have began making the vector image disappear. When printed everything is fine. However most of the time we also have to export as a .png to send our customers a proof and we have to export several times before getting a .png we can use.

Artwork moves with Artboard even with layers locked.
Not sure if this has already been addressed. I just became aware of this site. I am using CC 2018, on my Mac running 10.13.3. Usually if I lock the layers I can move the artboard independently, not anymore.

layer panel crashes
Scrolling in the layers panel on the laptop crashed illustrator
and all the images disappeared from the recovered file.
my illustrator version is 22.1 64bit.
i am running win10 64 bit up to date.

White spot and white line always appear up when I working and when I do an other things it will move into other position
At the beginning it is work normal as usually then when I add something or move something there will happen a white line and white spot or missing part of my work and I try to ignored them but it will change position

High Sierra disables Illustrator
Since updating to High Sierra last week every time I go to open Illustrator the spinning wheel appears and is never resolved. I chatted with support last week and was told I needed to contact Apple as it's a compatibility issue. They were also not able to help.

Edit Artboards/Convert a box to artboards Illustrator 18
Why cant Illustrator 18 snap to a box when converting to artboards? Also if you create a box copy it into your library.... then bring it back into illustrator and try to create artboards from it, you get a weird error stating its got a clipping mask or a rotation?

"Place" Shortcut Now Remapped To "New From Template"

- Just minutes ago I posted that shift-command-N did nothing instead of opening a new document from my templates. This time I manually went to the file menu to achieve this. Then after opening my template, I needed to place a graphic and used the prescribed shortcut shift-command-P…
- And instead of opening the Place dialog box…
- NOW my computer is trying to open a new document from my templates. I have restarted Illustrator and this still is happening. I double checked my shortcut editor and the shortcuts are still set to adobe defaults.

Extrude and bevel
Trying to use 3d/extrude and bevel on a mbp 15 and the computer freezes until I cancel. Is it possible the window is showing beyond my screen? (had it connected to a monitor earlier, but restarted 3 times!)

Illustrator crashing after latest update
After updating Ai in the desktop app the program crashed on me several times during an afternoon. I worked with the pattern maker tool in one file and manualy in another file. After restarting both Ai and my iMac there is no way to open the files. I get a sign that says "Unable to open drawing". That happens only to the files created after updating. The dropdown menu in the type window for anti-aliasing options is disabled seemingly at random.- The anti-aliasing dropdown menu in the type window allows me to designate a render setting to one type selection however, this setting also seemingly applies to all type on the document (i.e. I cannot apply "Sharp" to one text block and "Strong" to another).

Opening Files Problem
Not sure what this message means. It started last week.
I would try to open a file, this warning box would pop up, I would press ok and half of my job is missing. Then i would restart illustrator and try it again. Sometimes it takes me 5 times restarting illustrator to get the files to open correctly.1 vote -
Linked assets in CC Libraries render "file not readable"
Having assets linked in CC Libraries renders the master AI file unreadable on another machine, despite being signed in on the same account. If I open the file on the original computer and collect it to a local folder, the file opens. This defeats the purpose of the Library.
