1. Color changes when saving as .eps

   Saving out a pattern with a purple background as .eps turns out as black when previewing the file on the computer or in pdf-reader and when opened on other computers. Opening the file back into illustrator still shows everything as purple.

   MacOS BigSur 11.4
   illustrator 25.2.3

   Right side show as the colors are perceived in illustrator, left side is what other software see when opening the file.

3. Selected UI field not readable

   The existing contents of all UI fields go blank/white when they are double/triple clicked to manually enter a value.

   I would expect the existing value to be highlighted/selected in grey so that they're legible.

4. Illustrator running really slow, no GPU preview

   Hi Illustrator 25.3.1 is running horribly slow on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018) / 2.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 / 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4 / Radeon Pro 555X 4 GB - it is constantly running CPU Preview, I cannot get it to use GPU. Zoom in and out is awful to use. Illustrator is impeding my productivity. Please help.

5. Save document popup does not correspond to the current document

   When closing a document that is not the current working document, the save dialog pops up but the only the currently active document is shown making it difficult to see which document the save dialog refers to. This is handled correctly in Photoshop but not Illustrator

   Repro:

   1. Open Illustrator

   2. Create two new documents

   3. With the type tool write on the empty artboard of the first untitled doc "Important work"

   4. Click on the document tab for the second untitled document and with the type tool write on the empty artboard "Useless garbage"

   5. While viewing the 'Useless garbage' doc, click on the close X of the other document tab.

   6. Observe the save popup asking if you want to save changes to the file and notice that the document shown behind the pop up shows 'Useless garbage'

   7. Click 'No' on the save popup

   Result: You have now lost 'Important Work'

   Repeat the same steps in photoshop and notice that when closing the background document the view changes to the relevant window allowing you to see the document that you are about to save or discard.

6. Fill appeared outside of outline on single copied object once when duplicating all objects multiple times

   Work was done in Illustrator 25.2.3 under Mojave 10.14.6. A screenshot showing the fill separated from the outline as well as a simplified/de-branded version of the 5-up document with only the problem art and a section of non-problem art (for relative position reference) left in place are attached.

   In Illustrator, the customer's AI file was opened and stepped 4 times to produce a 5-up document (as has been done countless times before on similar files). The resulting 5-up file was saved to subsequently be imposed in Prinergy. All artwork was duplicated perfectly in the first 3 copies but in the 4th copy (5th position), on the "500" (and only the "500") the fill appears to have shifted to the left, though the outline shows as being in the proper location. Clicking on the 5th blue "5" in the AI file results in the path being highlighted as shown in the screenshot.

   I'm guessing the resulting AI file is somehow internally inconsistent as selecting that 4th copy with the fill shifted and simply copy/pasting it to another location magically results in the fill of the problematic 500 "snapping" into alignment with the outline even though no operation that should have modified it was performed. In fact, when proceeding to undo that copy/paste, though the pasted version disappears, the "snapping" of the fill to the outline is not undone and the silently-fixed 500 remains corrected. Once it has fixed itself in such a manner, reverting to the original file is the only way to get the fill and outline back out of sync.

   Unfortunately, going back to the original artwork and repeating the process in attempt to reproduce the results has not been successful - the operator did not notice the shifted fill prior to saving the 5-up version of the file and cannot state with certainty whether or not it was correct on screen after completing the stepping but before he saved the file. Therefore I cannot pinpoint whether the issue occurred at the time the 4th copy was placed or if it was the result of something happening in the save process - either way the file that was produced was problematic and prints with the 5th "500" out of position.

   Work was done in Illustrator 25.2.3 under Mojave 10.14.6. 7. Scripting window keeps appearing and no way to remove it

   Uninstalling/Reinstalling does not remove prompt. Starting appearing after most recent update to with the new ipad features. Going back to older version, the window doesn't appear.

   This issue is happening due to a security feature added in Illustrator to inform the user if any external application tries to execute a script in Illustrator.

   Solution: Update your Logitech options app to the latest version – https://www.logitech.com/en-in/product/options

   We heard from some users that above solution is not working for them, we are investigating this issue. Meanwhile users can try the below workaround

   Create a JSX file with the following content:
   app.preferences.setBooleanPreference(“ShowExternalJSXWarning”, false);
   Save the above JSX file. Now, go to File > Scripts > Other Script, and choose the newly saved jsx file.

   This will suppress the warning dialog and run the script.

8. Cant save ai file with my Mac m1 chip

   It's not saving any new file. My Ai is updated.

9. Transparency not working once saved to pdf or opened in photoshop

   I have open a file previously worked on, and when I save to pdf the effects created with transparency are not working at all, as if they are not there.

10. open ai files can crash Mac system

    When opening an AI file which linking more (about 10) high resolution image files, the whole of my late 2017 version iMac is crashed with dark screen. It need to restart the system and open AI again. It was successful to reopen the initial AI file, but it's crashed again to open the next AI file with high resolution image files linking.

11. 日本語入力時に英数キーで確定されます

    macOS Hi Sierra/Catalina/Big Sur
    Adobe Illustrator CC2017〜2021（それ以前の可能性も有）

    Macには独自の日本語テキスト入力のシステムがあります。
    入力した文字を確定する前に「英数キー」を2度連打すると
    半角アルファベットに変換されます。
    「かなキー」を2度連打すると再変換することができます。

    CS5までのIllustratorとすべてのPhotoshopではこのシステムが有効です。
    しかし、IllustratorCCでは「英数キー」「かなキー」での
    変換ができません。
    日本語を入力中に「英数キー」を押すと変換されず確定されます。

    私はMacOS X10.3から長くこのシステムに慣れているので
    現在のIllustratorの仕様は誤入力につながり不便です。

12. Thumbnail in Library is cropped

    Hi, I made a wing which I have used 3D rotate function and another effect. so when Added the transformed object to library. it coropped arround the original design and cut off the bottom part of the transformed object. I hope the picture explains it enough.

13. Black Boxes appear and Unable to zoom past 1600% when GPU performance is turned off in Illustrator 25.3.1

    Well, I updated illustrator today and have major viewing issues.

    Black Boxes appear when selecting outlined text with the direct selection tool, when moving a shape, and in the upper left corner when viewing artboard. Everything disappears when zooming in more than 2400% in Preview mode and has a pixelated outline.

    MacOS Catalina version 10.15.6

14. Custom Brushes no longer working in newset update 25.3.1

    My custom brushes stopped working with the new update. When I switch between custom brushes it either does not change or changes to the incorrect brush.
    I have several custom brush files that I use for my job and this is happening with all of them.
    I switched Ilustrator back to the previous version, 25.2.3, and the brushes are working fine, however I would prefer to be using the most up to date version of illustrator and to not have to rebuild 5 custom brush files that each contain around 7-20 brush variations.
    I am on Windows 10.

16. Saved swatches from previous version doesn't look the same

    I've made a custom palette in an earlier version of Illustrator. Now importing these swatches into new documents the swatches and codes are vastly different - both cmyk and rgb swatches has been altered.

    On reference picture - left side colors are original swatch colors, right side is the imported swatches. Also attaching the correct color codes.

    What happened? How do I fix this?

17. BUG: Save As EPS using Artboards changes layer visibility

    I have an AI file with two artboards which I. exported into two separate EPS files, however the layer visibility was changed randomly and did not match the current layout. Note, preview "tiff" image in Finder was correct.

    Upon opening the file, I had to go through and turn on / off the appropriate layers to bring it back to the current state. Unlocking all layers and attempting to do this again did not change the results.

    Must have been introduced in the most recent update as this has previously worked as expected.

18. Erreur des vignettes/aperçu des calques (layers panel).

    Bonjour, malgré la dernière mise à jour prenant en compte les puces M1 (25.3.1), un bug subsiste dans le panneau des calques.

    L'aperçu en miniature des calques, dans le menu calques, peut ne pas représenter la réalité. Cela intervient après une modification de couleur et/ou un déplacement des calques (disposition) manuellement dans le layers panel, mais n'est pas systématique.

    Cela amène à confondre les calques dans le panneau calques, puis que les îcones/vignettes/aperçus, ne correspondent pas au niveau de la couleur (dans le cas de formes identique ou similaire).

20. [25.3.1 macOS]Photoshopで作成したpsd画像に日本語のクリッピングパスが使用されていると、Illustratorに配置してもクリッピングパスが反映されない

    再現手順

    Photoshop v21.2.9(2020)やv22.2(2021)など日本語のクリッピングパスでの不具合がないバージョンで、日本語のクリッピングパスを適用したpsd画像を作成。
    Illustrator v25.3.1(2021)で、1で作成した画像を配置するとクリッピングパスが適用されずに配置される。Photoshopでクリッピングパスを欧文にすれば、Illustrator v25.3.1でクリッピングパスが適用された状態で配置される。なおIllustrator v24.3および v25.2.3ではこの不具合は再現されませんでした。

    ※photoshopで作成した画像フォーマットが、eps,tiff.pdfの場合はこの不具合は再現されませんでした。

    動作環境

    macOS Big Sur バージョン11.4

    MacBook Pro 15-inch 2016

    みなさま、大変お待たせいたしました。

    Illustrator 2021（ver.25.3.1）で発生していた、Photoshop（v21.2.9 や v22.2 など）の日本語名のクリッピングパスでの不具合がないバージョンの PSD ファイルでも、日本語名のクリッピングパスが認識されない問題の修正が完了し、Illustrator 2021（ver.25.4.1）をリリースいたしました。

    Creative Cloud デスクトップアプリケーションから、製品版のアップデートが可能となっておりますので、お確かめください。

    もし、Illustrator 2021（ver.25.2.3）と同じ結果が得られないような場合は、コメントをお願いいたします。
