Document Info units do not match Document Setup units
Select a path and open the Document Info panel. See attached image for all the needed details.
Happens on the latest version of Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1).

Notifications appear on bottom of screen
Notifications appear on bottom of screen. I drag them to the center of the screen but the position is not stored.

"In App" tutorials not actually In App
When I click on these tutorials, nothing happens. When I called the help, they said there are only tutorials online.
Why does this screen say "In App Tutorials" if there are only videos online? I'd assume that I could click on a tutorial option and it would walk me through the tutorial, similar to mail merge wizard. Or it would show pop up balloons with instructions on what to do, then I would do it.

Illustrator crashes when adding centre point
on occasion, ai will crash when adding center points. this time it was in wireframe view adding center points to placed PDF's

No search bar in Pantone swatch color books
When I go to search for Pantone colors, or and other colors, there is no search bar at the top of the swatch tool window

Illustrator 24.0.1 lags...
Copy and paste will freeze and take about 5-10sec before i can do anything after copying even on simple files. I have tried every different performance setting combinations. Its really like adobe is just letting more and more problems every time there is a new version released...

27 Spot Colour limit
We cannot record more than 27 spot colors in illustrator. I do a lot of pantone, but I can only record 27. I need to be able to save all colors in the color library.

NOT RESPONDING
The program works fine whenever im doing line work for my portraits but as soon as I highlight it and merge it together the program starts acting really slow and not responding which makes it impossible to work

Incorrect Transform Resizing
When I resize an object in Illustrator by typing the exact number in the dimensions box it reverts it to be slightly off.
For example (Attached images follow my example explanation below):
I have a logo that is 2012.13px wide that I need to be 2000px wide. I should be able to simply type 2000px in the transform width box, but when I do it reverts it to 1999.998px wide. If I type in 2000px again it will stay at 1999.998px. The only way around it that I have found is to change it to something drastically different like 1000px…5 votes -
Artborads erased and layers grouped when opening a file, Illustrator 2020
Illustrator 2020 (24.0.1), Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6
Whenever I close a file with multiple artboards and multiple layers, and re-open it, all artboards but one are erased (and renamed to "Artboad1"), and all my layers are grouped into one single layer.
Even when I fix the file, and save it, the next time I open it, the same thing happens.

Straight lines don’t allow to add points to their centers / middles
So, I created a square, changed the line brush with something else, and then cut the 4 corners with scissor tool. Then, if I select the add anchor point tool, and click in the EXACT MIDDLE of the newly created line (which I cut from the square), it will not allow me to do so. It's just saying you only can add anchor point on the path line.
Please help me Adobe...
3 votesThis is fixed in the latest Beta Build 29.5.0.15 — now straight lines allow to add a point at the center positions. Please check if this now behaves as expected and comment back.
However, the team didn’t make it into the snapping feature requested in comments — to be able to snap to middles of any segment, curved or straight. If you need one, please upvote this split request.

Creating new paragraph or character style does not honor selected text

^ That page states you can select text, and click the new paragraph or character style button to create a new style that uses the selected text as a base. This does not work at all, it just creates a new style with Myriad and default settings.

Still not able to paste (Cmd + V) text when creating a new folder in Save As / Save a Copy / Export As dialog box in Ai 2020
In the latest update the copy and paste option is fixed when trying to do it in the save as dialog box. But if I try to create a new folder with the save as dialog box open I still cannot cmd+v to paste text into the field.
85 votesThis issue was reintroduced in MacOS update Ventura. The team ran into another issue while implementing the workaround suggested by Apple. While the team revisits this issue, users can use workaround this issues by paste through context menu. Thank you all for the patience.

Distribute Spacing field is disabled if you set a key object BEFORE opening Align panel
Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), Illustrator 24.0.1 (64-bit)
If I wish to align / distribute two or more objects in Illustrator, if I select the objects and click on the 'master object' BEFORE I go to the 'Align' tool window, the distance box remains greyed out as you can see in one of the screenshots below. I find this very annoying, for example, I may have previously been on the 'Transform' tool window sizing my objects, then I copy them a few times and select them all, select a master object then go to the 'Align' window and the distance box…

Update didn't update Recovery folder location resulting in data loss
I just lost a bunch of work because Illustrator hadn't updated the DataRecovery folder location when it upgraded. When I went to preferences, the location was set to a non-existent folder which had been the default location for a version 23 but had been removed by the update to version 24. This is a huge oversight and needs to be corrected. To be clear, I had not set this location manually, although I have now set the location to the default folder for version 24 (which did exist, but no files). jaggered paths
Illustrator Jaggered - on using the pen tool , texts and on curved paths.
tried toddeleing the GPU and CPU preview , reinstall the updated app , update the drivers , update Windows 10. The issue is still not resolved.
Clearly see the the lines are not smooth in outline mode too.

Illustrator 2019- always making a selection
When I want to use the application, illustrator decides it wants to draw a selection. If I reach out of the workspace to use the toolbars or panels, it will draw a selection from on the artboard to my cursor, as if I were clicking and dragging. If I click back onto the artboard to disengage the selection and try to use the panels, it will make a new selection from the point I clicked. This renders the program unusable. There is also a lot of lag when navigating menus, and the cursor will decide to stick to the scrollbars…
