  1. Empty artboard name which changes itself when artboard is resized

    I have a simple template for business card, made long ago, with a single artboard inside.
    Today I created new document based on this template and AI22 has shown this single artboard with no name (which was never touched in template and always was default 'Artboard 1'). It displays as 'Artboard 1' in Artboards paleette, but tag is missing.
    Next, when I add height to this artboard in Control panel, it got renamed to 'Artboard 2', both in tag and palette.
    If I undo this and make change again, it got 'Artboard 3' and so on.
    I expect this artboard…

    We have the fix available in the latest release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 23.0.

  2. Incorrect file sizes

    Importing work into After Effects adds 6 pixels to the file size — very generous. This software keeps on giving.

  3. most fonts not rendering

    I have to continually uninstall and reinstall 75% of my fonts! They show up in the panel, but do not render when selected. This is way beyond aggravating and is taking up hours of my time daily.
    These are fonts on my hard drive, not typekit or any other font service. using Windows 10 and Illustrator CC 2018 (happened intermittently with 2017, now it's everytime I open Illustrator or let it sit open for more than a few hours)

  4. Illustrator freezes all the time

    I am not able to use Illustrator at all. I have updated to the 2018 version. Every time I want to create new project or open existing one the program freezes. No matter if I have GPU Performance option on or off.

  5. AI CC2018 doesn't show certain font styles, while CC2017 does

    I have ITC FrizQuadrata installed. This font family has 4 styles: normal, italic, bold and bold italic.

    AI CC2017 does show all four.
    CC2018 shows only one — 'ITC'.

    It doesn't show it when you type family name, it doesn't show other styles in drop-down style list.
    If I copy/paste text with needed font family style from 2017 to 2018, AI will show me two identical font names but two different preview near them (and again no italics).

    Please create a sample file in CC 2017 with styles that you do not see in CC 2018. Create a package out of it so that we also get the font files for investigation and share the package with us. For sharing the package you can either upload to your creative cloud files or any other file sharing system like Dropbox, Wetransfer etc..

  6. Illustrator 2018 quits when I save. "Save as" works, but not save. It also creates a temp pdf file.

  7. A large triangular glitch renders on canvas when selecting and moving objects

    Tried working on a new artboard to learn interface and immediately started getting this problem - this happens when I select an object and try to move it. Then I am unable to move anything properly. I have been unable to find any settings that may have caused this. I uninstalled and reinstalled and have received this same problem on different files and art boards.
    A triangular cut out that appears on the artboard and causes the objects to malfunction when manipulated.

    If I try to create something new, it disappears and then shows up again.

  8. Font name not suggested when typing in

    When I want to change a typeface to another and I start typing in the name, instead of loading a list of installed fonts related to the characters being typed, nothing happens. No suggestions loaded at all.

    Hi Love,

    sorry to hear that you are facing this issue. Can you please click on the little rectangle in the font name (below search button) and see the option selected?

    If it is “Search First Work Only”, change it to “Search Entire Font Name” and it will solve the issue.

    When rasterizing vectors mixed wither rasters detail is severely degraded.

  10. Image File open but not showing up

    When using the latest version of Illustrator cc I open vector images the image file opens however it is not visible, I do get visibility briefly when the file is shut down or resized from maximised within the program. It is only a fleeting view and disappears again when reopened or maximised?

  11. Illustrator CC 2018 (Mac) Crashes Affects ALL CC Programs

    illustrator CC2018 crashes about every third or fourth time I "Save AS" an EPS. Freezes immediately AND freezes any open CC programs. Have to Force Quit all to restart each. This is getting old, fast.

  12. When group is selected the "Make pixel perfect" option is missing in the proportes panel

    The "Make pixel perfect" option for selected objects is missing when they are grouped, in the previous version it was easily accessible from the top right corner icons now have to dig in the Object menu.

    Thanks for reporting this issue.
    We are moving this under review, meanwhile what you can do is use Right Click > Make Pixel Perfect or turn on control panel from Window > Control.

  13. There is not enough memory available to process the appearance of an object

    2. Launch AI, create a new document OR open an old one

  15. Applescript convert to paths deletes image used as transparency mask

    Since Illustrator 21.1.0 (okay before) there is an problem with Applescript command "convert to paths (every text frame of current document)"

    If the text has an image as a transparency mask the script will delete the image. This does not happen if I do this manually within Illustrator. The problem still exists with the latest version of Illustrator.

  16. Start Screen and New Page Screen has a black border as if its minimised

    The Start Screen and the New Page screen acts as if it is minimised inside the window (see attachment to understand) until i update the page by minimising and then maximising the application.

    as there is no way to minimise the new page screen it is stuck in this state. Started happening all of a sudden tonight. I have tried to turn off gpu acceleration but that has no effect. Tried Uninstalling but also didn't fix the problem.

    I have not tested any other pages like preferences to test if it happens on that too but my guess would be…

  17. Text and Objects Randomly Rotating

    When I move text or an object, I will always notice they get slightly rotated. It's hard for the eye to see it sometimes, but the guide lines will show that things get slightly rotated sometimes for no reason.

  18. Delay of text cursor

    1. Illustrator 22.0.0 (64-bit).
    2. There is a delay in the text cursor showing up when it's moved with arrows or a text path is newly clicked, requiring one to wait for it before being able to continue working.
    3. The text cursor should be immediately visible.
    4. There is a delay instead of a couple seconds. (That's a long time when making many moves in a row.)

  19. Align Stroke isn't allowing me to place stroke on outside or inside of line on certain items.. Both options are greyed out.

    Since latest update, Align Stroke isn't allowing me to place stroke on outside or inside of the line on certain items. I'm noticing this on both text and vector objects with "holes".

  20. Editing tabs in Paragraph Styles crashes Illustrator.

    Open attached tab_bug.ai file. Open the Paragraph Styles window. Edit the "Windfall back cover" style. Select the Tabs section. Move the tab to the right. Hit OK. Illustrator crashes.

    I've already reported this at https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-bugs/suggestions/31228633-demo-version-of-illustrator-crashes-constantly-de?tracking_code=a5435faf1626b3287df8c29b149793c7, but this is stripped down to the minimum possible case.
