Grayscale black in RGB mode, should be the same as RGB 0,0,0, shouldn't it?
In the current Ai (20.2.1), when in RGB mode, in a grayscale gradient, a value of 0 creates a gray which is far off RGB 0,0,0. Why?
In the screenshot, a RGB 0,0,0 rectangle is placed over a gradient with 100% K in the middle knot.In RGB mode, grayscale values should resemble values from 0,0,0 to 255,255,255, and match those values in non-gradient fills.
This happens in both Classic Gradients and Perceptual Gradients.

Swatch color values get adjusted proportionally when pasting a value with Ctrl/Win+V
New Swatch dialog always adjust values proportionally when just pasting a value.
Here are the steps to reproduce the bug (and the GIF):
- In a new CMYK document create a global swatch with CMYK 33 10 33 0
- Confirm, edit the swatch again
- Copy '20' value as text from anywhere
- Paste the value into the M input — using Ctrl/Win+V (I’m on Windows)
Ai would turn both '33' values into '66', doubling it, as if Ai thinks I want to adjust values proportionally — as if I HOLD Ctrl when CONFIRMING the value — while I haven’t confirmed it yet...…

Unintended shortcuts triggered by Ctrl + Win/Apps keys on Windows
On Illustrator for Windows, a specific key sequence triggers unintended shortcuts. This issue appears to be caused by a bit-level misidentification within Illustrator's input handling, where certain keys are processed as different characters.
The order of key presses is critical:
1. Hold down the Ctrl key first.
2. While holding Ctrl, press the Left Windows Key or Apps Key.Actual Results:
- Ctrl + Left Win: triggers "Send to Back" (matches Ctrl + [).

Gradient across stroke, inside opacity mask is thresholded for half the width of the stroke
Applying a black-to-white gradient across a stroke inside an opacity mask results in a portion of the opacity mask not being applied, corresponding to half the width of the stroke, almost as if it is clipped by the stroke. If the path is subsequently outlined, which creates a mesh, the behavior is the same. If the object is a filled bezier curve, the behavior is normal with the shape masked as expected.

Illustrator Layers Panel Object Thumbnails No Longer Update After Edits
In Illustrator, the object thumbnails in the Layers panel are no longer refreshing after changes are made to the artwork to match the new appearance. Because the preview remains outdated, it becomes harder to track changes and quickly identify the correct objects in complex files. This breaks a useful visual cue and makes the workflow less reliable and less efficient.

30.3 SVG Code is not at the same scale size as same file code from 29.8.6. It's half the size
Exporting a SVG file from 2026 30.3 the code is a complete different size than the same file code from 2025 29.8.6 and not in a good way.
The image on the left is from 2025 and the image on the right is from 2026.
This is a bug that shouldn't be in the 2026 version

Freeform Gradient is not rendred
When I try to make a freeform gradient, the colors don't show up. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with a preview or something else.

Illustrator 30.3 bug: Use Preview Bounds ignored for effects applied directly to symbol instances
In Illustrator 30.3, I appear to have found a bug related to bounding boxes and the Use Preview Bounds preference.
When an effect is applied directly to a symbol instance, Illustrator seems to ignore the Use Preview Bounds setting and behaves as though preview bounds are enabled for that object. This does not happen when the same effect is applied to the symbol definition itself, which has always used preview bounds, regardless of the preference setting, and it does not happen when the symbol instance is placed inside a group and the effect is applied to the group instead (good…

Bleed is applied randomly when not enabled
Issues with bleed. I keep saving a PDF withOUT bleed and it saves it with bleed. It randomly picks and choses which files it'll apply a bleed to and which it won't apply a bleed to, despite me picking NO BLEED on all of them. Very frustrating.

First Attempt to Copy Hex Not Working
When I click into the fill properties under appearance, and click the "copy value" button, it always will deselect and NOT copy on first attempt. But if I try again after it will work. Similarly, when I first click on the value, it highlights, and then if I do CMD + C the value will become de-selected and not copied.

Strange loops and spikes when using pressure-sensitive brushes with XP-Pen Tablet on Illustrator 29.3 and newer on Windows 11

My system:
Windows 11, Version 25H2 (Windows Ink is deactivated, tried with activated too).
Old tablet: Artist 12 Pro (XP-Pen)
New tablet: XP-Pen Deco Pro MW
I tried all available Illustrator versions (I will explain later).I am getting very weird and inconsistent strokes when drawing with a tablet and the Blob Brush Tool (please see screenshot and video attached EDIT: video too big pls see the article from the other forum, the video is posted there).

We weren't able to reproduce this issue on our end, so we'd like to gather a few more details to help us investigate further:
1. Wacom/tablet driver version- Could you share the exact driver version you're currently using?
2. Did this issue appear immediately after upgrading to a specific Illustrator version?
3. Illustrator version currently installed?

Object edge highlight color reverts to black while moving objects.
Ever since the illustrator 2026 update, when I move objects the highlight color changes to black like in the attached video. I'm currently running 30.3 and it seems like it has only become more and more prevalent. Obviously this isn't great when you're working against a darker color in the background. Is this a feature that I've missed a checkbox to turn off or is this a glitch? For the techy peeps I'm running a MacBook pro Intel (2017 I think) and I'm on Tahoe 26.3.1.

(Bug) Alignment buttons go into hiding when selecting more than one object
When selecting a single object, the Alignment buttons appear on the top UI bar. But select MORE THAN ONE object, the Alignment buttons disappear.
Now I have to click on the "Align" flyout menu and click an option from there in order to align 2 objects, because my UI shows more blank space and fewer features than before.

Unknown Error when saving
Windows - Adobe Illustrator 2026
When saving files for a proof - Press Quality, no editing, password, low resolution printing, no changes, no enabling copying of text - this error comes up on the first attempt every time.
If I save it a second time, this error doesn't happen. I wasn't receiving this issue until I updated to 30.2.1, but it was rare. Now that I've updated to 30.3 it became every time I saved a new file for the first time. As much as I want the turntable feature, I'm going to have to use 30.1 again until the…

Scripts cannot read Ignore Color setting from presets
With the appearance of the Ignore Color checkbox, scripts have another big problem besides ignoreWhite.
If a user creates a custom preset with Ignore Color enabled and selects a color, and then tries to automate the use of this preset from a script, the scripts cannot load the data about the Ignore Color checkbox from the preset.
In the mentioned beta version 30.4.0.80, this issue still persists (so it should also be in the GA 30.3)

No se puede abrir el archivo. "No es posible acceder al archivo con la cuenta que has iniciado sesión".
Eso dice al intentar abrir un archivo. Pero la cuenta con la que estoy intentando abrirlos es la misma cuenta con la que los creé. Eso no me pasaba hasta que se actualizó a la versión 30.3 el Illustrator. Necesito ayuda, por favor. No abrir absolutamente ningún archivo, en todos me aparece la misma leyenda: "No se puede abrir el archivo. No es posible acceder al archivo con la cuenta que has iniciado sesión. Ponte en contacto con el propietario para consultar más detalles." Pero yo soy la propietaria, ayuda por favor.

Bug - Graduated stroke colors automatically changed!
A graduated stroke color was in a saved file applied to a brush stroke. I had not been in the file for several months. The preview appeared full color, but when I opened the file, it was like the opacity of the colors had been turned down, except they hadn't been! Inside the file, it appears faint. But the stroke does not indicate the opacity has been reduced. It is so confusing since the file has not been opened for over two months.
Don't know if it is a gradient or brush stroke issue or a compatibility issue.

Blending modes inside groups does not work
When an object is part of a group nothing from the transparency settings is working. Selected object in the screenshot is set to Multiply and it appears as Normal.
