Rotate tool dialogue box won't appear
After selecting the rotate tool, rotate dialogue box won't appear.
a dialogue box will appear only if I double click on the rotate tool but then I am not able to move the anchor point to the center of the object.
6 votesAs per the comment, the way to call the dialog and to define the arbitrary rotation pivot is to Opt/Alt+Click the desired position when the tool is picked.

Bringing object forward with (Ctrl + ] ) nudges left/right instead of bringing forward.
There is an Illustrator bug I have previously and am currently experiencing that makes an object nudge to the right/left when trying to bring an object forward. I've had this happen on Windows 7 and Windows 10. There is obviously a workaround for this, i.e. View Outlines > Select > Bring object to front / Cut Paste in Front / Paste in Back, Save and Restart Illustrator etc. but it is counterproductive to efficiency.
Background: I'm a 10 year+ agency professional who specializes in UI design, illustration and branding.

cannot place image into Illustrator.
Cannot place or drage image to illustrator.
Sometimes only a rectangle with X in the middle appears, or just the selection pointer appears after I try to place (using the menu) or dragging an image to the Illustrator.
I used different *.png, *.jpg files and I could not place image in the illustrator.
Need help.

Convert to profile
It should be possible to convert a documents colors via the same method as in Photoshop or InDesign via "Convert to profile" rather than "Document color mode". The current way makes it hard to correctly convert correctly and nearly impossible to convert an rgb color space to another rgb color space without using cmyk as intermediary step (huge color shifts and color quality loss).

Libraries panel is empty, does not connect
I have had repeated issues with the libraries within Adobe CC connect. With signing out/signing in, closing and reopening the applications not working.

Can’t make an object opaque
So, I have a very odd quirk happening. When I changed an element from 100% opaque to 70% then copied it and grouped it. Now when I ungroup it the same element that was 70% opaque now thinks it is 100% opaque.
Essentially I can no longer make that element completely opaque anymore. I have to place another instance. This is a bit of a pain when I have resized or altered the placed element.
I am running the latest version of Illustrator as of this post.
I did some searching here and my issue is very similar to this…

svg text
Exporting SVG on Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.2 on MacOS 10.14.3 is giving inconsistent results in regards to text. I am trying to export a file as an SVG with Font option set to SVG. However, the SVG file exported has some texts converted to paths or outlines and some texts are preserved as texts, which is what is desired. We have also tried this under Illustrator CC 2019 23.0.1 on Windows 10 Home with same results. We have included a sample file for you to test.

We were able to confirm the issue that you see. The issue indeed does not happen with Illustrator 2018 (22.1).
We identified hyphenation as the potential culprit. To workaround the issue, either disable hyphenation in the Paragraph panel or make sure text does not get hyphenated.

v23.0 files won't open with v23.01 update, Unknown error occurring
Can't open v23.0 ai files since the update to v23.01. The program doesn't even attempt to open, an error pops up saying "an unknown error has occurred"

After unlink vector art from symbol, handles and points never appear again - CC 23.0.2
I see that this bug was supposedly fixed but it's back.
I made a vector shape and dragged it to the symbols palette.
Then I placed the symbol in my artboard, and unlinked the placed art from the symbol.
Now when the shape is selected, no handles or points are ever visible again - I can not select all or any handles or points with the direct selection tool, because they are gone. The shape can not be manipulated.
It does not matter if I cut and paste it, expand it, ungroup it, double click it, or paste it into…

Mirrored objects with freeform gradient applied loose their fill
When drawing a picture of several parts, each of which is filled with freeform gradient there is a problem as soon as you select the entire object gradient disappears on one of the parts or strays

All toolbars gone - Illustrator CC 2019
As soon as I open the Illustrator today, every toolbar was lost. Even if I click the workspace presets, it doesn't do anything. I already returned all the lost tool bars manually but when I opened Ai, they're gone again. Please fix this. Thank you.

Paragraph style tab numeric measure is wrong
v22.1/23/0.1
Windows 10Both v22.1 and 23.0.1 show the wrong numeric 'X' measure when setting or adjusting a tab stop in a paragraph style. The measure shown is inflated both according to the ruler below the tab stop, and tabs set using the tab window. The numeric measure is inflated by an increasing amount the further the tab is from the left margin, and remains inflated whether units are set to mm or inches.
eg. 20mm tab stop shows as 29.8mm in the paragraph style dialog-

Manually entering integer size values makes fractions
The Width/height (Screenshot B: / H: ) Values don't work sometimes.
If I manually type in the values like 20x20 it will create something like this 20,134x19,999.

Illustrator crashes and causes computer to restart.
While using Adobe Illustrator, after updating, it has been crashing and causing my computer to shut down after sometimes only a few minutes up to a few hours of use.
I have used InDesign and Photoshop just as much (as well as Chrome and many other applications) and I don't have any issues with crashing or shutting down. Only when Illustrator is running.Attached are my PC specifications.

Opening Graphic styles causes crashes of v23
Checking on status of incident (ADB-4515680-P0G2). Adobe has connected with my computer twice and we were able to replicate the "crash" or freezing of the program when the graphic styles were opened in Illustrator 23.01. I am currently using V22 when I need to use graphic styles.
Have the engineers made progress in determining the issue and developing a fix?

Making changes to rgb vector artwork causing color changes
Using the latest version of Illustrator CC, when I open a particular logo (a multi-layered object with active strokes) and make any changes (ex: outline strokes, rotate, re-scale, etc), I experience a color dulling and color changes to the entire logo.
Oddly enough this only happens with the RGB version of the logo, not the CMYK version of the logo. And when I cmd-z these actions the color dulling / color changes won't revert back. In all of my years using Illustrator I've never witnessed this strange behavior, which is why I assume this is a bug.

Object size change?
Now, the transformation panel reflects the size of a shape plus the thickness of the outline if there is one.
For example, a rectangle of 100x100 with an outline (in the middle) of 1 displays a size of 101x101, 102x102 if the outline is external and 100x100 if the outline is internal.
It's a very confusing change! The previous behavior was much more talkative.
I understand that this reflects the actual size, including the outline thickness, but this should be an option. I did not see myself 3 decimal digits when I want a rectangle of 100x100! :)6 votesIf this happens for you, please check the 'Use Preview Bounds' in Preferences > General. When it’s enabled, Ai will treat strokes and effects as a part of the object’s bounds.
