1. Working really slow

   I am working on AMD Threadripper 1950x with 16cores and 32gb DDR4 ram...
   Illustrator still working really slow and laggy.
   When I make a multiple select some objects and deselecting, its stuck on that process. Sometimes, filling all objects with single colors after deselecting. really terrible... Even I close GPU accelerator it doesn't help

   Hi,

   in Ai CC2019 I cannot scale a horizontal line via the center box handle. The only way to it, is to use the direct selection tool (A).

4. Text edits have no undo, do not trigger file as updated

   When editing a block of text. Back delete key does not work and forward delete key deletes from start of block instead of cursor/insertion point. Text has to be highlighted to be deleted. Undo for deleted text is unavailable. Document does not indicate any changes and can be closed without a save dialog and thus losing edits.

5. General Performance Issues and Font Issues

   The Issue that I'm having see screenshots happens randomly in adobe applications like Illustrator.

   I followed the instruction the adobe support gave me with the link, but there where no issue so I send you the last step, more details. Re-install fonts or Creative Cloud etc. don't solve the problem. I have this problems here and there since more than a year now.

   macOS Mojave Version 10.14.02 (Issue appears also in older versions)

   The latest Issue I have sometimes is, If I save the Illustrator file and saving is done, Illustrator jumps back 3-4 steps (undo). So after I save I will see a older version of my design in illustrator, which makes working on the artwork confusing, did it save, delete, what happend. After I re-open the file everything is back where I saved it.

   Another issue that I run into is that If I select a object a bigger bounding box appears, containing other elements somewhere on the artboard. In relation to that I'm also sometimes unable to select objects and move them, the bounding box moves or the object jumps back to its position.

   I can't explain the issues more, I just share my experience and these issues happen randomly so capturing those is like catching air. I taked already with the adobe support and followed all instruction but the team still don't know what it is and how to fix it.

   I wish that in 2019 the overall performance of illustrator gets better.

6. SVG Exports Incorrectly - messes up art work

   I have drawn a simple oval that exports correctly.
   I then made 20 copies, and it exports as SVG correctly.
   I then made 20 more copies (so I have 40 of these oval shapes) in two columns side-by-side. The first column exports correctly, the second column some of the ovals are longer, some are shorter and the horizonal position shifts back and forth.

   Used the Export Selection command. Have tried all different SVG parameters, have tried switching the columns, nothing has worked.

7. Stop asking about switching to the Touch interface

   I have a laptop with a touch screen (that I never use, and never intend to use). Every time I open Illustrator, it tells me that it has detected that I am using a touch enabled screen and asks if I want to switch. I would be VERY appreciative if you could make this pop up with a "don't ask me again on this computer" checkbox as it is really annoying as it not always obvious that it has popped up and it makes the screen unresponsive.

8. Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.1 2019 Not Responding when opening file & Slow on Start MACOS Mohave 10.14.1

   1. Adobe Illustrator CC 23.0.1 2019 / MACOS Mohave 10.14.1 2.1 Slow or Not Responding - Launch Adobe Illustrator - by clicking on icon in dock or in applications folder 2.2 If it launches - Click on Open from Dashboard and try to open a file - it becomes non-responsive or takes forever. 2.2.1 Tried opening ai files (any of them I have) directly- same issue 2.2.1 Tried to command copy and save to change location I have filed stored - it copies to new location, including adobe cloud, same issue 2.2.3 New files never show up in recent files on dash board or in file menu- only some very old ones. 2.2.4 Tried to change file name to see if that helps- does not 2.3 Tried to create a new file - takes a while, but on save of a file with a single line in it (save as ai) - again non-responsive, regardless of file location 2.4 tried to shut down computer, tried to uninstall and reinstall adobe cloud and illustrator, tried to run illustrator 2017. Nothing is working!
   2. Expected result - to be able to quickly launch application either from ai file or from applications/dock and then quickly and easily open, save, and and save as my work as I go.

   3. Taking 3 hours to just open a file and am still unsuccessful - opened the downsampled PDF and am going to try that. However, when I save - same issue if saved as ai file.

   4. Could not upload my illustrator file because .ai files are not allowed, uploaded screen shots of configurations and the PDF version of file.

   -- General Notes
   Interface is Not Responsive when launched
   I have 3 TB Hardrive iMAC with 32 GB RAM - I meet or exceed the requirements. Also this just started happening after last update 23.0.1.

   I am trying to open any ai file type folder. Although slow it seams to open PDF's.

   This happens again when I try to save as or newly save an untiled version.
   I tried to send an error report and that crashed as well.
   
   I have attached my computers configurations

   The way tool panels get customized was changed since the report, and it’s no longer possible to accidentally drag-n-drop tool without enabling the editing mode. If this still happens for you, please comment.

10. 23.0.1 Windows 10. Slow, Black Screens, and continually crashes

    23.0.1 is proving unusable on my system. Continual black screens, pauses, and crashes. I cannot get any work done.

    Win10 Pro 1803 16GB. 64bit. + Nvidia GeForce 210.

11. Distorted dashes at small sizes

    OS: Windows 10
    Adobe Illustrator 23.0.1

    When creating dashed lines at small sizes, the lines are distorted. See attached image - weight is .1mm, dash size is .1mm. The line is perfectly straight, the profile is uniform and the "Preserve exact" option is enabled.

    The type and amount of distortion seems to vary depending on the line's position in the document as well. Moving the pictured line 2 mm to the right means the distortion is suddenly vertical rather than horizontal.

    This is of course not a major issue as long as the illustration is only meant to be viewed in its original size - but this defeats one of the purposes of using vectors, as the illustration should be scalable to any size without significant distortion.

12. Type Box fills with x's

    When I choose the Type Box tool, and click in the document to create a Type Box or simply place text, as soon as the box is created, it fills with X's/squares and goes off on it's own continually typing the X/square.

    At that point I am not touching the keyboard, there is no key being held down, yet it seems to be "stuck" in creating the X/square.

    Initially it only happened with Myriad Pro, so I uninstalled that font. Then it continued to do it with Arial. Now it does it, no matter what. I've un-installed Illustrator and re-installed and am still dealing with the same issue. I've attached a video here. You'll see the first time I go to type, it does it.

    Then, I create a new box and it does not do it. It works normally.

    I create another box, and it starts doing it again. I am not touching the keyboard or any keys when the x/square boxes go off on their own.

    When I do try to continue typing, you'll see the text continue to run away even when parts of words appear, the x/square shows up in the middle.

    Built-In Memory: 8097 MB

13. Adobe Color Themes pop up is unnecessary and obstructive.

    When using the Adobe Color Themes panel, there's a pop up that says "Click to set active color" when you hover over color swatches. You can't click on the color beneath the pop up without first moving the mouse off of the pop up. It makes using the color themes panel slow and obnoxious. Please either move the location of the pop up off of the swatches one is trying to access, or remove it altogether (or give us an option to disable it)

    Turning off "Show Tool Tips" in preferences doesn't fix the issue.

    It is also an issue when using the same panel in InDesign. I'm certain there are other apps that are affected as well.

15. Color blend control panel

    Trying to change a fill in a preexisting color blend. Control panel only allows shifting the current blend, not adding or changing color. Any time the color pallet is selected, the blend control box disappears. Adobe is adding more features is cool, but taking away the basic features we've had for years is uncool.

16. ILLUSTRATOR CRUSHES WHEN I CLICK ON THE BRUSH TOOL.

    Illustrator crushes everytime I click on the brush tool. I have reinstalled the Illustrator and its not working. I am using a hp z800 running windows 10 with Nvidia Quadro K2000 as my gpu. Please Please Help

18. Illustrator won't open any files

    Since the new update I am completely unable to open any AI or PDF file in Illustrator. Nothing will open, just the rainbow ball of death forever until I have to Force Quit. I've uninstalled Illustrator and even installed earlier versions with no luck. I've 'repaired' Creative Cloud with also no luck.

    I'm working on MacOS High Sierra (10.13.6), Illustrator v23

    A couple times I've gotten an error message that says: "cannot open ___ file because this file does not exist."

    Sometimes saving the document (command-s) causes it to revert a few steps back. WHAT? What is going on with all this weirdness!

20. Selection tool acting like Direct selection tool and vice versa

    Selection tool does not select all points and will not move a group of objects correctly, (it acts like the Direct Selection tool, not selecting all points). And the Direct Selection tool selects ALL points of a group and moves them, which is what the Selection tool is supposed to do. They are working exactly opposite as they should. "Show Bounding box" does not resolve this issue. The Selection tool has also instantly changed format of text simply upon selection (indent & tracking). Using MacOS Sierra 10.12.6, Illustrator CC 2019. This is a bad bug, please help.
