Threaded Type not scaling correctly
Mac Pro (2019, Intel), MacOS 15.6.1, Illustrator 29.7.1
After the update to version 29.7.1, the text in linked type objects does not scale (using the Scale tool) or scales disproportionately (using the Selection tool).
The Free Transform Tool currently appears to be the only way to scale these objects together while keeping the type size proportional to the objects being scaled.
The issue occurs in new and existing documents.

Template Layers Still Visible on Export for PNG and JPG
I am creating a logo package for a client and am attempting to export multiple logos / graphics with transparent backgrounds using the export panel. I've already confirmed multiple times that my PNG settings include transparency and that the View > Overprint Preview setting is unchecked. My background layer is set to non printing, however any PDF or PNG I export includes a visible background layer. I can completely hide this layer to avoid exporting it, but then I can't see my artwork correctly. The whole point of non printing layers is to see them when you are designing without…

1. 新規ドキュメントにポイントテキストを複数作成する。そのうち、いくつかは縦組みに設定。
2. すべてのポイントテキストを選択してグループ化する。
3. ダイレクト選択ツールまたはTツールで縦組みのテキストを選択する。
4. メニュー：書式→組み方向を選択した際に縦組みテキストを選択しているにもかかわらず横組にチェックが入っている。期待する結果
縦組みのテキストを選択した際には該当メニューで縦組みにチェックマークがついている。実際の結果
縦組みを選択しているにも関わらず横組みにチェックマークがついている。この縦組み・横組の表示は選択範囲に複数の状態が含まれた場合にデフォルトの横組が選択されるという挙動になっています。端的に言って、この複数ステートをデフォルトで表示してしまうのも問題です。本来であれば双方にチェックマークがつかない状態で表示するべきところです。
グループ化されたオブジェクトの一部を選択した場合でもこの組み方向の機能はペアレントの状態を参照しているようです。正確に選択範囲の状態を反映した表示にするべきです。EN Translate

Free Transform resets frame after each use
If it was the only problem... Have you ever tried to "free transform" an object like you can do it with Photoshop in a breeze ? Free Transform tool (Free Distort) resets the handles to the rectangular bounding box after each handle drag! Super convenient to adjust a deformation! But did Adobe internally have the distortion tools proposed in Illustrator tested? there are 3 or 4 but all are tedious to use and very incomplete. Please, Adobe, put all this in the trash and replace these useless things with a single tool effective and intuitive... exactly like the "free transform"…

Once you start typing a font name in the Font Browser the scroll wheel stops working
Once you start typing a font name in the Font Browser the scroll wheel stops working.
Several of the other menus don't scroll either. For example, the units dropdown in the create new document window.Arrow keys still work.

Bring to front/back not working with new update
Manually right-clicking and selecting "bring to front" and "send to back" aren't working. The shortcut (ctrl + shift + [ or ] ) is also not working. This seems to have started after updating to version 29.4.
Every tutorial I can find hasn't helped. This bug has massively increased my workload as I use this action every few seconds.

Offset Path creates notches
Certain paths with certain Offset Path values create these.
Usually it’s a rather small value, but this sometimes happens with larger ones.There are other related problems with Offset Path:

Uniwidth/multiplexed fonts extends in Illustrator
A font of mine is uniwidth/duplexed (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uniwidth_typeface) and keeps its width in InDesign and ABC Dinamo’s Font Gauntlet when changing the weight of the VAR.ttf.
In Illustrator however, the text ‘extends’ when adding weight. Visualized: The last letter on a line is standing further right than before. The other way around it also contracts when lowering the weight, obviously.
I went on and found the same behavior in other VAR fonts (right in InDesign, wrong in Illustrator), but also ones that don’t have the issue. My Illustrator version is up to date, and the bug was also in…

一部の日本語フォントが正常に表示されない
macOS Tahoe 26.0 / Macbook Pro Late 2023
Illustrator 29.8.1添付画像のとおり、一部の日本語フォントが正常に表示されません。
他のAdobeアプリ(Photoshop等)では正常に表示されますが、Illustratorだけがダメです。
また、同じフォントでもウエイトによって表示される文字と表示されない文字が混在している様です。さらに、フォントパネル上ではフォント名が表示されていますが「フォントの検索と置換」のドキュメント内のフォント名が文字化けしています。
Illustrator 28.7.9では正常に表示されている様なので、OS依存のバグではなさそうです。

Repeat objects ignore Select > Inverse command
Take a look at the GIF attached and the file.
I select the magenta square and use Select > Inverse to select everything but the square.
It select the circles, the black one and the white one (inside of Radial Repeat) — all correct.Now I try Select > Inverse one more time, expecting to get the opposite result, only the magenta square selected.
But the Radial Repeat object stays selected.
It must not.These applies to other repeat types as well.

1.新規ドキュメントを開き任意のテキストを入力し日本語OTFフォントを指定する。
2.「ファイルプレビュー用に許可されたフォントを埋め込む」チェックボックスをONにして保存して閉じる。
3.指定したフォントをアンインストールする。
4.先のドキュメントをIllustratorで開く。
5.プレビュー用に埋め込まれたフォントが表示に利用されない。期待する結果
埋め込まれたフォントを利用してオリジナルの体裁が表示される。実際の結果
ドキュメントのDictionaryに含まれる「Embeded Font Binary Data」にはエンコードされたフォントが保存されるが、ドキュメントを開いた際に利用されない。いくつか検証しましたが、WesternフォントやCJKであってもTrueTypeであればプレビュー表示されます。AdobeFontに含まれる日本語フォントやモリサワのOTF等がドキュメントに含められているにも関わらず表示に利用されません。

Spot channel percentage reduction after Envelope or Effect > Warp > Arc is applied to a DeviceN Transparent Single Ink Image
My client embeds raster PSDs that include an additional spot channel and applies pre-distortion to them using Envelope or Effect > Warp > Arc. When the PSD is embedded, the spot channel becomes a Transparent Single Ink Image in the DeviceN color space with an alpha channel.
After applying Envelope or Warp > Arc, the spot channel percentage is multiplied by the alpha channel value, while the alpha channel itself remains in the image. The result is a significant reduction in the effective spot ink coverage.

Use Artboards option disabled when exporting as PDF – even in new multi-artboard documents

In the current Illustrator version, the ‘Use Artboards’ checkbox in File ▸ Export ▸ Export As... ▸ PDF is greyed out and cannot be selected.

Issue saving document on hard drive after creating a pattern swatch, file won't save or AI crashes. Cloud document saves fine!
I keep recreating a pattern swatch to use on a social media image, and every time I go to save the document Illustrator either crashes completely or won't save the file and I have to start over again. Weirdly, saving to the cloud works just fine, it's only when I have to my hard drive on my brand new MacBook Pro. If I do any other work within the file, it will save. Illustrator uses 100% CPU, sustained, even when idle and no documents open
I've observed many times that when Illustrator (29.7.1, on macOS 15.6) is idle in the background, it's running a 100% CPU task. Even if I close all of its open documents, the CPU use is at 100% CPU, and stays there until I quit.

"Learn the tools" popups appearing on their own
The Learn popups for the tools on the tool bar keep appearing on their own whenever I am in the application. I have to wipe my mouse over them for them to disappear, just for them to keep popping up when I am using Illustrator. This continues to happen the entire time I am in the application.

Bug - Cannot access Hands on tutorials
I was doing the hands on tutorials and then I loaded into the app and the section for them was gone in my tutorials tab. I found the webpage online that allows me to launch hands on tutorials from browser https://www.adobe.com/learn/illustrator?tutorialType=inApp&learnIn=1 and it leads to the screenshot provided. I would love to be able to continue doing the hands on tutorials. I ensured that I have no VPN installed, I updated graphics drivers, and reinstalled Illustrator to no avail.

Windows11Adobeクラウドに保存していたものを開くと「プレビューを終了できません。指定した処理を実行できませんでした」というポップアップが出てしまい、保存していたものがモノクロになってしまって編集もできない。クラウドの一覧で見ると正常そう。

Illustrator crashes when I double-click a text to edit
These are awful. You are awful. The program has closed 10 times. The reason is I don't want to double-click a text and edit it. I can't get it to work. You're screwed for the program. Every time I double-click a text and try to edit something, the program closes. The world's highest-earning software is a worthless software team.
