  1. Mouse scroll doesn't work in Window, Object, other top menus

    Not only these menus, but every menu, I guess, but Window is the main one where it really happens, when you have a lot of plugins installed.
    AI then draws arrow at the top and the bottom of the menu panel, and the only option to scroll it is by pressing these arrows with mouse.
    So
    1. Please allow mouse wheel to scroll it.
    2. Please allow us to choose between 'one panel, arrows' mode and 'unfolding panels' mode.

  2. After latest update, workspaces no longer work

    Any time I launch Illustrator now, it completely clears the interface (no tools, control bar, nothing). Additionally, if I try to select a workspace, it does nothing.

    I can bring the elements back in one-by-one, just like normal, but the Save Workspace is completely grayed out (I did have previously save workspaces).

    Needless to say, this is extremely frustrating to have to spend minutes re-setting up the interface each time I want to use it.

  3. Last version super slow and partly broken

    First of all, Illustrator needs almost 1-2 to start since the latest update. Before it was, like Photoshop, just a matter of some seconds.
    When started, everything feels sluggish, changing the font for a text field is not possible anymore and I don't know how many more problems. The whole UI makes a somewhat broken impression, the cursor in textfields doesn't show and a whole lot more and is very unresponsive, takes seconds to react.

    This is with a high-end setup with 64GB of RAM (of which 32GB are free when showing this behaviour, so it's not RAM shortage causing…

  4. Scale Tool dialog shows random values when real-time drawings is enabled

    To recreate is problem: First enable Real-time drawing. Then draw a box. With the Scale Tool window open, uniform scale the box 400%. Duplicate that box by holding down OPTION key while click and dragging the box. Click on the second box and open the Scale Tool window: when I do this I no longer see 400% in the scale percentage, instead I find completely random numbers and sometimes it selects non-uniform. This gets annoying after a while.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  5. Inaccuracies with Pathfinder and Shape Builder tools

    I'm using v24.3, the most recent Illustrator version. When zooming in on a shape, the selection outline does not appear to correspond to the actual fill area of the shape. When doing any cutting or merging with the pathfinder or shape builder tool, this discrepancy starts to create inaccurate results, as the tools seem to favor the selection outline as a guide when cutting.
    As an example, I have a circular background. I want to "mask" a square onto it, so one of the corners of the square is outside of the circle. This corner I intend to cut off…

  6. Can't active the font Rubik

    I cannot activate the fonts I have used on my Intel Mac. Now I have the M1 Macbook Air and all the fonts I have previously used cannot be activated again.

  9. Illustrator 2021 breaks Export command with AppleScript

    Export command for AppleScript has suddenly stopped working as of Illustrator 2021. This error breaks almost all my professional workflows.

    macOS 11.1, Illustrator 25.1

    When I run AppleScript workflows that worked fine in Illustrator 2020, 2019, 2018, etc. they now fail at the 'export' command with 'Adobe Illustrator got an error: document doesn't understand the "export" message.'

  11. GPU Problem after upgrade to 25.1

    After upgrading to 25.1 GPU previewing is erratic. After a while working on a document GPU previewing is not available (after restart Illustrator it is). Then also problems with text selection occur, text is not marked as selected and text cursor is not visible. Seems like a problem with out of video memory? Using a maxed out MacMini with 64GB RAM and a Blackmagic eGPU. MacOS is 11.1
    For now reverting Illustrator 25.0 removes all problems.

  12. Recolor artwork modal panel stays in place

    The new recolor art modal panel doesn’t remember it’s previous position and always appears in the center of my window. Is this expected ?

    If it could be non modal and docked in my custom
    UI I would appreciate too.

  13. The file keeps crashing whenever I zoom in or out

    Usually, everything functions perfectly; it is just I started to have a problem whenever I zoom in or out. The whole file crashes sometimes, then it turns back to normal, or it might keep freezing until I close the Illustrator.
    This is a weird issue because it only happens with zooming in or out, and it happened with Illustrator 2021 and 2020. I think it is from my computer, but everything is updated; I updated my drivers recently, and I still have the same issue.

  14. cmd+shift+n doesn't create new folder in Finder-Save-Dialouge anymore after last update

    When you save a file (save as, save, save copy, ...) you can not create a new folder via cmd+shift+n anymore after the latest 24.0.1 "bug fix update" which I received today.

    Please fix this again!

  15. Grid Tools (Rectangular & Polar) Keyboard Controls

    When using the Rectangular and Polar grid tools, NONE of the keyboard controls work.

    UP and DOWN Arrow keys do NOT work
    F, V, C, X for skewing do NOT work
    NONE of the keyboard controls work at all

    NEED THIS BACK ASAP

    I've tried in Ai2020 & Ai 2021 -- does not work in either

  17. Illustrator won't replace existing PNG file; creates copy and adds "-01" to filename

    When I update an Illustrator file and wish to export/replace the previous PNG file, Illustrator asks me if I would like to replace the existing file. I click "Replace". However, the result is a new file with "-01" added to the end of the file name. The old version still exists. Why bother asking me if I want to replace it if it insists on creating a copy?

  18. symbols cannot be changed when in a mask

    I older version I could replace a symbol also when it was in a mask. I cannot do this anymore.

  19. Library Panel Thumbnails Too Dark

    I have always used the darkest setting of the Brightness UI preference. All the items in my library were easily viewable and readable as each thumbnail had a white background. Now they are all dark and the text is unreadable and my logos are harder to tell apart. The panel can be dark but I need the background of the library asset itself to be white.

  20. Bounding Box changing sizes from entering it in to viewing it in PROPERTIES

    Hi, when I create a bounding box for a part of a vehicle wrap to be 52" x 98" or any size then view the size in properties it changes the size by minute amounts. Please see attached. Please note we are running on Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.1 and Illustrator 25.2.
