Illustrator (Desktop) Bugs

  1. Can't make a copy of existing line

    Illustrator 22.0.1 (64-bit) Windows 10

    I had a vertical line I wanted to move and copy. I tried dragging it with the alt key pressed and it only moved without making a copy. I tried the Move dialog and clicked the Copy button and it again only moved wihout leaving a copy.

  2. Layer Options Color Changes/Problem

    I use Illustrator on an iMac. With the upgrade to CC 2018, the following happened:
    1) In the Layers Palette, all layers colored Cyan changed to Yellow;
    2) All layers colored Magenta changed to Cyan.

    By itself, this is not a terrible problem (disregarding Yellow as a terrible layer color to begin with!) The problem comes when I try to change them back.

    When I open the Layer Options for a particular layer, I used to hit 'Tab' to take me to the Color, then 'C' to get Cyan. Now, it brings up a Custom window that I have to…

  4. CMD+D issue...

    I used to be able to copy and paste an object and then CMD+D to continue duplicating but it doesn't seem to work at all in Illustrator CC 2018...I downloaded CC 2017 again where it used to work, but it doesn't work with that either and doesn't even seem to be a feature anymore. Does anyone have any way to fix this? Thank you!

  5. Transparency gradient mask

    Hi,
    I use Illustrator CC 21.1.0 on Mac OS X El Capitan ver 10.11.6
    I encounter a problem with transparency opacity mask. Basically it doesn't cover properly the area where it should be fully transparent (black part). Despite the colour being set to 100% black ant opacity 100% there still is a hint/shadow of colour. In this case I would expect that from the bottom gradient goes up gradually form completely transparent to 100% opaque. And this going on for some time. See attached screen shot.

  6. Wacom Cintiq major problem

    Wacom Cintiq and Illustrator 22.0.1 doesn't work. Cintiq cursor is stopping to respond after 2 seconds. In other apps it works without problem. Issue appeared after latest update.
    Wacom drivers are up to date

  7. Files are plugged and then deleted !!

    I made a very big job and then the computer got stuck and the file was deleted until the previous maintenance and destroyed 8 hours of work.

  8. Can't click on properties dropdowns

    I just updated AI to the newest release and suddenly I'm unable to access extended properties not displayed on the main panel nor will it let me select and change colors via the properties panel. I also don't like that you've all decided what tools I work with constantly, I need to be able to customize what I need to keep open for my workflow optimization. Because if I could, I could work around this bug.

  9. Font Filter

    Using Adobe Illustrator CC 2018.

    I have the filter on for all font classes but when I click the similar fonts icon "No results found" comes up.

  10. Illustartor cc 2018 Crashing when clicking the paintbrush tool or shape builder tool

    Illustartor cc 2018 Crashing when clicking the paintbrush tool or shape builder tool in the tools panel. The "N" shortcut for the underlying pencil tool also crashes illustrator. I have reset preferences, but to no prevail.

    I am not using GPU as Illustrator can not find my Nvidia GT540M
    Windows 10
    8gb ram

  11. New Illustrator 2018 UI is not correct-missing panels and won't set workplace

    This is what I get when opening the new Illustrator CC 2018. Wonky, slow to respond, no panels, workplace will not appear. THings lag and disappear randomly. Terrible!
    On WIN 10 Enterprise 64 byte Dell Desktop Nvidia Quatro K4000 video card. 4K monitor

  14. freeze

    My Version is Ai CC 2018
    I opened Ai and try to load a new brush that i downloaded, the first time i did it by selecting the Other Library and choose the Brush file was fine but then on it just freeze everytime i do it, be fore i could even select the section that has the file, the application freeze

  15. Scatter brush rotation orientation to line.

    When using a scatter brush with rotation set to the line (not page) the vertical orientation will randomly flip. For instance, when I'm using the scatter brush to create a bush with stems and leaves pointing up (natural orientation), after creating the line and applying the scatter brush sometimes the brush will apply pointing down.

  16. Sudden problem with embedded bitmaps

    I use embedded bitmaps for additional texture in my illustration. Since recently updating to the newest version of Adobe Illustrator CC, suddenly I am encountering a lot of problems with these-- they print irregularly, and create glitches when saving to some formats, like pngs. I have never encountered problems like this before.

  17. Error message while launching Illustrator CC 2018

    This message in German occurs while launching Illustrator 2018. After saying OK, a fragmentary Applikation displays, which is not operational. It is completely buggy and blocks even Finder until it is being quit.
    "This process can't be completed, because an unknown message has occurred. [CANT]"
    I have to work with the 2017 version.

  19. Windows Panels resize at applications restart

    Not sure if this is a Windows issue or a new AI 2018 issue. The problem I am having with all 2018 Adobe products is that when I enter back into AI after restart my Window Panel properties are all collapsed even though my saved work-space is saved with all of them always expanded. This causes me to go through every window panel and expand it. Not a huge deal but super annyoing and a time waste. This is happening consistently. I am running Win10- pro with the latest AI CC update.

  20. EPS saving as AI or PDF bug

    Hi When saving an EPS file to either AI or PDF downloaded from a stock site I have had issues with both the on screen preview and print from InDesign. When I save it as an EPS again it appears to regain the proper appearance both on screen and in print. Is there a transparency issue when converting an EPS to AI or PDF?
