1. New update v25.1 is extremely buggy

   With this new update I get the 'spinning beachball' constantly while trying to zoom in or out of the artboard.
   
   Also - I have multiple objects with clipping masksI'm seeing unprecidented levels of glitches and visual artifacts all over the place that appear/disappear/reappear when zooming in and out. It's nearly unusable in this state!

2. Illustrator Save as dialog box forgets custom size and position, other things

   [macOS Big Sur 11.1, Illustrator 25.1]

   In all previous versions of Illustrator, once you manually re-size and re-position the Save as dialog box, it stays that way -- at least until Illustrator quits. Its default size now it is tiny and unmanageable, and I have to re-size it every single time I save a file. Furthermore, it always defaults to the local user Documents folder, instead of the document's original folder. Finally, the entire file name AND EXTENSION are highlighted, when it always used to be just the file name. Change that all back, please.

3. Warped Object moves up artboard when changing Bend or Distortion

   1. Using Windows 10, latest version, and Adobe Illustrator V 25.1 (but this has occurred in every version of AI I've ever owned)
   2. After I warp an object, if I change the Bend or Distortion amount in the Top Toolbar the object shifts up the artboard. This happens whether I input an amount and hit enter, or if I just use the arrow keys to increase or decrease an amount. Additionally, if I go into the Object>Envelope Distort>Reset with Warp menu, it shifts up.
   3. I would expect the object to remain in the same place on the artboard, and change the bend/distortion amount in place.
   4. Instead it shifts up every time, and I have experienced this in all versions of Illustrator and on multiple machines.

5. Recovery Files Missing, Autorecovery enabled

   I had auto-recovery on before Illustrator crashed however when I restarted the program I received a prompt that said auto-recovery is now disabled. I tried to manually recover the files from the data recovery folder but there are no files in the folder even though it say the most recent update was when I last opened the missing files.

6. Random Freezing

   I just bought a 16" Macbook Pro (2019) and twice now while using Illustrator, the artboard freezes and I cannot save. All of the menus and tool bars and whatnot highlight like they are responding, but I cannot get anything on the artboard to respond and cannot save anything. Everything else on the mac seems to be working so it is not freezing the whole system. Please help! Do I need to return and get a new mac, or is this a software problem?

7. Selection of many objects across layers causes Illustrator to stop responding.

   Running Windows 10 Pro and Illustrator v 25.1.
   Opened existing illustrator file
   Unlocked a layer of my design
   Attempted to select all items within that layer.
   Expected: Items are selected and can be manipulated
   Actual: Illustrator stopped responding.

   I attempted to select the items multiple ways, including the "Click to target..." circle to the right of the layer in the Layers window, using Ctrl+A, and using the Selection Tool.

   I cannot provide my file, but I will provide further details:

   The top layer that I had unlocked included many groupings nested within it. I was able to reproduce the issue with some sub-layers, but not others.

   One sub-layer is a Braille alphabet representation that includes 26 groupings of 6 ellipse objects, each of which appears separately in the Layers window. Notably, a similar layer of 26 groupings of 1 ellipse and 2 lines each (graphical representation of flag semaphore alphabet) can be selected with no problem, despite a similar Layer structure. The Braille has 156 base objects, and the Flag semaphore has 78.

8. Illustrator GPU performance | Driver updates

   Using Illustrator V25.1
   GPU Details
   Vendor: Intel
   Device: Intel(R) Iris(R) XE Graphics
   WIndows 10
   Keeps crashing, suggestion for the fix from Adobe is to check and update drivers. I have followed the instructions and updated the drivers using Adobe instructions. Illustrator is still crashing and Adobe is still suggesting the same fix. Have double checked graphics driver is up-to-date and Intel confirms that it is.

9. Entire GUI Break at random intervals

   1.)
   Adobe Illustrator Version: 25.1
   OS: 64x Windows 10 Home 1909
   CPU: I7 7700
   GPU: Nvidia GTX 1070 8gb
   RAM: 2133MHz 48gb

   While using Illustrator, at random intervals the application's GUI breaks in a manner of which I have never previously encountered until today.

   The error has seemingly little to no correlation to the actions I was performing prior the time the bug, gltich, error, what ever you want to call it, and the only way for me to continue using the application and keep any unsaved data is to force quit the application and reopen it and proceed from there.

   2.) Attempted to use the GUI to save the unsaved work I had been doing up until that point, and proceeded to attempt to use all of the GUI that was visually accessable to record the effects of the issue on the GUI, and then I used task manager to force quit the Application to preserve the work I had been doing before re-opening the application, recovering my work, saving it, and then continuing to work. I did this for all the 3 times I have encountered this bug so far.

   List of the issues I have recorded when this bug occurs with my setup:

   All Utility windows that require input to appear are transparent but are still present, only the text fields are the proper opacity;

   All text fields that have appeared previously are persistent until closure of the application;

   All text fields have either improperly scaled entry fields, improperly sized characters, consist of the entirely wrong font all together, the right font and scaling but are improperly bound and extend past where they would normally no longer print, are in the wrong location entirely, a combination of the listed issues, or have none of the issues listed;

   Selecting any other tab than the Properties tab in the rightmost group will not produce any result as the tab group appears to be frozen in its current state, though tabs within a collapsed tab group can be opened but anything other than a text field will be entirely transparent;

   Dialogue Boxes are transparent and cannot be interacted with;

   The toolbar on the leftmost side of the screen is frozen to the last tool used and does not update to the current tool in use;

   Upon tabbing out of the application and bringing it to the foreground once again the GUI will take upon a form akin to a completely blank page.

   All issues listed apart from the final item were encountered, and when possible displayed, in the Session depicted in the Attached Image

   it seems to me, in my very limited knowledge of application programming and the steps required to produce results, that Adobe illustrator is failing to update most of the utility aspects GUI apart from the Applications ability to actually view Vector documents.

10. Illustrator 2021 breaks Export command with AppleScript

    Export command for AppleScript has suddenly stopped working as of Illustrator 2021. This error breaks almost all my professional workflows.

    macOS 11.1, Illustrator 25.1

    When I run AppleScript workflows that worked fine in Illustrator 2020, 2019, 2018, etc. they now fail at the 'export' command with 'Adobe Illustrator got an error: document doesn't understand the "export" message.'

13. Can not update Illustrator or InDesign in Creative Cloud

    I need confirmation if the reason I cannot update is due to the Windows 10 version 20H2 by my company OR an issue on the Adobe side. I would like to escalate this matter internally if it is on our company's side. PLEASE ADVISE.

    From the manager of the Meritor Infrastructure team:

    At current I think we will not be beginning with the testing of the next version
    until at least February. The next version will be Windows 10 version 20H2.

    Please note that Windows 10 version 20H2 is anticipated to be unsupported by
    Adobe From October 2021, even though Microsoft will support this version until
    May 2023. So, after October 2021 those users who are using Adobe products
    may experience the exact same issue again even when using this new version of
    Windows 10. This is the reason why Adobe is facing continued criticism from
    (and actually losing some of) its enterprise customers.

14. Can't copy and paste from Graphpad prism 9.0 to AI 25.1

    I can paste smaller images but not larger ones. My colleagues who use the same programs on a mac have no issues. Keep in mind that I am pasting multiple independent images at the same time. For example, a transfer of a square will be 4 lines transferred.

15. Improper transperancy handling

    when creating an object with a simple transparency, it renders different siting above a white background vs a white object. I've had someone else recreate to verify it's not just my install. See attached screen shot.

16. scrubby zoom disabled after switching in trace view

    1. Windows 10 pro v. 18363.1316 illustrator v 25.1
    2. switching from trace view to normal view : scrubby zoom not working. closing illustrator and re-open it: scrubby zoom works again in normal view

    3.scrubby zoom should be working in normal view and also on trace view....
    4 scrubby zoom don't work in trace view and stops working when I get back to normal view. I need to close and re-open Illustator to get scrubby zoom to work again in normal view.

    it's a small and simple file. no complicated illustration, only a flat design for a label.

17. Paintbrush properties - fill option not working

    Can select fill colour however when draw using the paintbrush the fill colour doesn't work - automatically goes back to red stripe option but the line colour is there.

18. GPU Problem after upgrade to 25.1

    After upgrading to 25.1 GPU previewing is erratic. After a while working on a document GPU previewing is not available (after restart Illustrator it is). Then also problems with text selection occur, text is not marked as selected and text cursor is not visible. Seems like a problem with out of video memory? Using a maxed out MacMini with 64GB RAM and a Blackmagic eGPU. MacOS is 11.1
    For now reverting Illustrator 25.0 removes all problems.
