  1. Cursed Path includes non deletable artifacts — part of shape when outlined.

    I have drawn custom shapes using the pen tool. Visible artifacts are growing out of anchors. When I switch to outline mode, these artifacts are not visible, yet when I expand the strokes, the artifacts become part of the resulting shape. I cannot resolve this by deleting the anchors that cause the issue, if I do that and then reconnect the remaining points, the artifact simply reappears. I'm attaching an Illustrator file with the cursed paths so that others can see if they experience the same issue or if they can resolve it.

  4. Images disappear or become corrupted after drag and drop on Mac

    Illustrator 29.4
    Drag and drop from a Browser to an Artboard
    Use Cmd Shift 4 and drag a screendump to an artboard
    Drag and Drop from Photoshop a layer with transparency to an Illustrator artboard.

    Saving and opening the Illustrator file makes it disappear or gives some distorted lines.

  5. Bring to front/back not working with new update

    Manually right-clicking and selecting "bring to front" and "send to back" aren't working. The shortcut (ctrl + shift + [ or ] ) is also not working. This seems to have started after updating to version 29.4.

    Every tutorial I can find hasn't helped. This bug has massively increased my workload as I use this action every few seconds.

  6. 29.4 is hanging/freezing in dialogs

    I have found myself unable to work in 29.4. Program hangs/freezes all the time after entering some kind of dialog (save, settings, color mode, etc). I reset the settings to default, didn't help.

    Reverted back to 29.3.1, no problems

  7. Properties panel doesn't show any settings

    Using Illustrator 29.4 with macOS 15.3, the Properties panel doesn't show anything anymore but the "Quick selections" text (might not be the right term as my software is in French)

  8. Selecting a path no longer helps to select its anchor below another anchor above from an unselected path

    iMac running Ventura 13.5.2
    Illustrator 29.4

    Since the latest update (I think), I cannot select anchor points that are below others like I used to.

    Until now, I used to be able to click on the object from which I wanted to select an anchor point (black line in the movie), then click on the desired anchor point with the white arrow and it would select the anchor point from this object.

    Now it selects the anchor point from the other object that is above (red line). Which means now I need to bring the first object to the front…

    With 'Select and Unlock objects on canvas' enabled (and at least one object locked) Direct selection no longer can move points (and select them with single clicks).

  11. Illustrator not working

    When I open Illustrator the processor dramatically slows down, to the point I can't have anything else open. Photoshop, on the other hand, works fine. When I try to move my mouse in Illustrator it takes ages, the screen starts flickering when I click on something for a few minutes before I click something else and it happens again. Sometimes it crashes. I updated Illustrator last week to the newest version, then uninstalled it because I blamed the problem on the update, but version 29.4 works just as bad.   12. Images within opacity masks shift

    When using multiple opacity masks in a file in an earlier version, including 29.31. Opening it in illustrator 29.4 almost all the images used for the masks are repositioned to the center of the page.

  13. Objects vanish when a PDF is exported

    The PDF document is not being saved correctly. I have tried saving it in different ways, changing the elements and it still isn't working. I believe it is a problem in Acrobat itself perhaps?

  14. Creative Cloud Fonts wont sync.

    The fonts already installed via Creative Cloud show missing in Illustrator. It also keep removing the font from the font family stating font was unable to be installed due to an error. So every time I open Illustrator or simply start my system there a new font missing. CC sprouts an error regarding a font. Never had this issue before.

  15. Flatten Transparency color change

    Illustrator 2024 29.4 (64-bit) Windows 11 Pro, Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 165H 3.80 GHz, 32 GB Ram

    When using the "flatten transparency" or "rasterize" options, there is a single line of text that keeps changing color. See screen shots attached. This happens regardless of what settings I select. I need the color of the text to be maintained through the operation.

  17. Solid black bar 1.5" wide across entire width of screen blocking top part of opened file

    On opening existing file, solid black bar 1.5" wide and across entire screen at top of screen blocks that portion of file. Cannot resize it or delete it. Cannot access that part of file for editing. Was fine 3/30/25 after upgrading Illustrator on that day due to issues of uncontrollable mouse action.

  18. “Duplicate Artboards” in the Artboards panel duplicates from the last artboard in the selection

    Illustrator 2025 (29.4)

    When selecting multiple artboards in the Artboards panel and executing “Duplicate Artboards” from the panel menu, the duplication starts from the last artboard in the selection list (i.e., the bottommost among the selected artboards).

    This behavior is unintuitive and differs from previous versions.

    • 2023 (v27.9.6): Duplication starts from the first artboard in the selection (expected behavior)
    • 2024 (v28.7.5): Duplication starts from the last artboard in the selection (unexpected behavior)

    This suggests that the issue was introduced in the 2024 version.

  20. Swatches Info doesn’t work for the only swatch selected

    If you only have 1 swatch selected you can’t create a Swatches Info from the Swatches panel’s menu. The only way to make it work is to make it 2 colors, select them and create the object, and then remove the unneeded color card from it manually.
