SAVED AS .ai files going back to older directories for linked files. BUG with links
This has happened several times over the last 6 months. I regularly will open an .ai doc I did a few months ago (generally saved onto an SSD external drive), save as to my desktop (mac mini m4) and do updates to linked images in the file. Later the new .ai is packaged when finished and all the linked files are in the LINK folder. However, after closing and opening the file the next day, or days later, the .ai file has gone back to the original folder location and picked up the old links (linked names are generally saved…

In version 30.5.1, Illustrator stopped writing color settings to ACEConfigCache2.lst, the file used for color settings synchronization.
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and Bridge use ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Color/ACEConfigCache2.lst to store and synchronize their active color settings preset names.
Up through Illustrator 30.5, Illustrator correctly wrote its own color settings information to this file. However, starting with version 30.5.1, it not only stops writing its color settings entry, but also removes the Illustrator 2026 entry from the file entirely.
Illustrator 30.5.1 still appears to read color settings written by Bridge and can apply the corresponding preset correctly. However, given that it no longer maintains its own entry in ACEConfigCache2.lst, I would like to ask whether this behavior is intentional or if…

Unicode - or wrong code - in file names
File names with strange characters produce strange and inconsistent info in the DocumentAfterSave and DocumentAfterActivate events. I keep adding regexes to my "fix name" routine....

効果メニューのグレーアウト
Mac OS 26.5.1のメニューバーの効果メニューがグレーアウトし選択できない。
アピアランスパネルからはグレーアウトなく選択可能。
最新の30.5.1でのバグだとおもわれます。

書き出し時の同名ファイルの警告が出ない
png、jpgでの書き出しのとき、すでに同じファイル名がある場合に警告メッセージが出なくなり、そのまま上書きされてしまいます。
上書きの警告メッセージの出し方、またはそれ自体が無くなったのであれば、改善していただきたいです。ver30.5.1です。
ちなみに、ネットでいろいろ調べると「環境設定」に「書き出し」があるとか出てくるのですが、その書き出し自体の項目も無くなっています。2 votesThe team is aware of this problem.
It’s a Windows-only bug, not specific to the latest build.
As soon as anything changes, someone from the team would leave a comment or update the status of the report.

Single options disappear and I can’t change view or workspace back, it won't be fixed by restarting Illustrator.

エンベロープにしたオブジェクトを極端に拡大すると結果がズレる再現手順:
1. ドキュメントを作成してオブジェクトを描画し、適当なカラーを設定する
→長方形や楕円形など、何でも良い。確認しやすくするため、小さめに作ると良い
2. オブジェクトを選択し、「オブジェクト」メニュー→「エンベロープ」→「メッシュで作成」を実行する
3. ダイアログで好きなメッシュ数を設定し、エンベロープを作成する
4. 出来上がったエンベロープを選択したまま、3000～4000%など大きなパーセンテージで拡大する。
→バウンディングボックス、拡大・縮小ツール、変形パネルでの数値指定など、拡大の方法は何でも良い実際の結果:
特定の大きさを超えると、エンベロープ内のオブジェクトがメッシュからズレた大きさで変形される期待された結果:

Blend with a straight spine doesn’t look the same as a blend without it
Here I’m checking a simple blend. One copy has a spine (a straight line with no handles), the other has it removed. They should be identical, but they aren't — the one with a spine is not uniform. I test this with the new Blend panel in Beta 30.6.0.27 (with the acceleration set to 0), and it works the same way as in the GA 30.4 release.

Live dimensions expand when pasted or duplicated using any method
If you want to make a copy of existing artwork with dimensions, you have to remember to lock the layer (which gets unlocked anytime you create a new dimension), and select only the artwork, or these live dimensions just die...
...but the dimensions don’t get copied over if you copy something with move dialog! There is no such an option in the dialog! And Opt/Alt moving won’t create these! And even duplicating an artboard!!!
Same deal with Copy and Paste commands.
Infuriating.

Illustrator on Windows 11 does not reflect custom paper size selected in printer preferences
I use Adobe Illustrator for production label printing with a tsc label printer.
On Windows 10, when I opened Illustrator Print > Setup > Printer Preferences, changed or created a custom paper size, and clicked OK, the selected paper size was immediately reflected in Illustrator’s print dialog.
After upgrading to Windows 11, this no longer works.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open an Illustrator file.
2. Go to File > Print.
3. Click Setup / Preferences for the printer.
4. Create or select a custom paper size in the printer driver.
5. Click OK and return to Illustrator’s print dialog.Expected…

Importing a PDF file saved from CAD shows a fault message
When opening a flowchart in Illustrator, a PDF file saved from a CAD, I get a fault message saying 'There are fonts in the document that are not installed on the computer'.
This is a new fault that came up last week, been using PDF files for a year and it have never been a problem until now.
Is there something i can do about it?

Remplacement de police sans avertissement
Bonjour, aujourd'hui j'ai réouvert un fichier .ai et sans avertissement une des polices, pourtant déjà installée (et pas d'Adobe fonts) a été tout simplement remplacée par de la Myriad pro.
Sans alerte, sans notification. Le seul indice à part l'apparence visuelle absolument différente, a été que j'ai documenté en écrivant en toutes lettres le nom de la police utilisée dans ma créa.
Ca ne donne vraiment pas confiance.

フォントアクティベートがイラレで反映されない
AdobeCCから新規フォントをアクティベートONをしても、イラレの方では反映されません。
また、イラレのフォントパネルから検索→クラウドからインストールする場合は永遠と読み込み中になり、少し時間が経つと読み込みもなくなってしまいます。・AdobeCCの再インストール→再起動
・AdobeCCでのフォント無効化 ON/OFF
・イラレ側でのフォント自動アクティベート外す
・フォントのキャッシュ削除など試みましたが改善無しです。

Radial gradient Annotator's centre point not aligned to object centres
Windows 10, all updated.
Illustrator 30.3 64-bit
The end point of the 'Gradient Annotator' marking the centre of a radial gradient should, I think, be placed on the centre of an object. But there is a rather big offset (image 'gradient-align.png'), which makes it tricky to position the gradient to, for instance, the bottom of an object.
The centre is not really the centre but is rather to the right of the centre point. It is weird.Ideally, it would be at the centre so the 'Gradient Annotator' could be perfectly placed at the centre if the bar was moved…
