  1. The pen tool isn't connecting anchor points on new shapes

    When I try to create a new shape or path using the pen tool, it keeps creating single anchor points without linking them together. Is there a setting or something turned on that I'm not aware of, or is this a glitch? It's really impacting my work!

  2. Text gets reset to the default style when pasted (looses its formatting), on Mac

    Team I am not able to copy paste a modified style for the text. Can you look at the issue. I am using IMac.

  3. the documentation website shows the documentation for a brief moment then redirects to a ******* sign-in page. I hate that

    i just need to read an answer to access some basic functionality in this baffling inscrutable ever-changing nightmare monstrosity, and the official documentation site has started redirecting to a sign in page and the back button doesn't work. i feel like you should know humans experience this and experience anguish because of it every day. i /know/ that this happens because someone needed to make a number go up in a spreadsheet. sincerely, **** that person with all my heart. thats my idea

  4. Snap to point

    Why do you have to zoom right in almost to get points to snap to each other properly? Do you understand how disruptive to workflow this is? It seems to be a real issue when not zoomed right in to an image. This is very annoying!

  5. Open/Save dialog box hidden

    I have a dual monitor setup, 4K via USB-C, and the built-in display on my MacBook M1 Pro. The Illustrator window is on the top 4K display and the dialog box appears on the lower built-in display. Whenever using the creative cloud window open/save, only the top bar of the dialog box is visible at the very bottom of the built-in display. I have to pull it up in order to see and use it. This does not happen when using the MacOS open/save dialog box.

  6. Image Trace script does not recognize uppercase JPG files, only lowercase jpg

    Ai v 27.2 (64bit) Windows 10.
    Image Trace Script is not recognizing uppercase JPG file extensions, only images with lowercase jpg extension.
    I have not tried the same for PNG vs png to see if it is also not recognizing upper vs lower case extensions.
    The folder of images I was testing has mixed case JPG/jpg extensions. These images had been created in Photoshop.

  7. オブジェクトを再配色にて、RGBスライダーが短く表示される

    Illustrator27.2(27.1.*)

    再配色ウインドウを開いた時に、下部の調整部分がRGBだとバーが短く表示されます。CMYKや他の調整モードに切り替えた後RGBに戻すとバーの長さは戻りますが、何度も切り替えているとRGBのバーのみがまた短くなることがあります。
    27.2にアップデートすることで解決するかと思いましたが解決していなかったので、前のバージョンの正確な数字を覚えていないのですが27.1.*でも同様でした。

  9. Crashing while using Wacom Intuos

    Using the Wacom Intuos Comic Pen & Touch pad (2015) model, and illustrator crashes every time I start using the drawing pad. Does not crash when I use my mouse for pen tool.

  10. Multiple Artboards X and Y axis not resetting

    This is a new issue: normally the X and Y axis reset when you click on an alternate artboard but recently, it's maintain the X and Y of the first artboard. My sample is a 4"x4", 4-artboard layout, and the shape is on artboard 2, horizontal to artboard 1.

  12. Illustrator Nonstop crashing

    Illustrator crashes often throughout the day. Mac Studio M1 Ventura 13.2 128 GB Ram 4TB HD, Illustrator 27.X.

    Happens often after pasting artwork from other files and then moving the pasted artwork.

    This is happening on multiple Mac Studio's with designers working on different files.

    Files are local on their desktops.

    We reset preferences files, cache etc.

    This is a really critical issue.

    コンピューターに保存時、ファイル名を作成する際、シフト+テンキーを使い、テキストの一部を選択しようとすると保存画面がリセットされてしまう。Creative Cloudに保存時には発生しない現象。

  15. Smart Object from Illustrator to PS not working after Mac Ventura 13.2.1 update

    Copy and pasting a vector file from Illustrator into Photoshop as a smart object no longer saves the way it used to. In Photoshop, when I wanted to make a change to the smart object, I would double click on it in the layers panel, it opens in Illustrator, make a change, cmd + s to save, back to Photoshop and the smart object would update. Now after updating to Ventura 13.2.1, the process is the same, but after saving and returning to Photoshop, my fonts show up differently. Screenshots included.

    The problem got resolved when fonts got activated for Photoshop in the font manager app.

    It seems that for some reason Photoshop does not warn users about missing fonts in smarts, although it should not be relevant, since Ps reads the PDF content from a smart to render it...

    Needs further investigation. If you have updates on this — please comment.

  16. PROBLEM Mixing and changing swatches colours in the file...

    We are currently designing on about 250 designs witch we have in the same file as different art boards. In the swatches panel we have created two different groups of colours (each group has 8 swatches). We design in each art board (for example Art 1) with one of the group colours (lets name it A). When we finish colouring Art1 we copy the design in the next art board Art2 and now we colour it using the other group (lets name it B). We save the file and the next day when we open it we find that the…

  17. Glitch signs introduced by illustrator when opening a plot created by R

    Hi everyone,

    I mainly use Illustrators to manually edit plots/figures created by R (a statistical programming tool). R creates PDFs which can (normally) be opened and edited using Illustrator.

    However, I recently encountered a strange bug. My plots look just fine when I open the PDFs using Acrobat Reader, but they contain glitch signs instead of points when I open them using Illustrator 2023.

    I am attaching a (zoomed in) picture showing these symbols. If anyone can help, that would be very appreciated :).

  18. Scaling appearance with Transform Effect doesn’t work as expected

    MacOS 12.6.3
    Illustrator 27.2

    Applying scaling transform effect with “Transform Objects” checkmark OFF
    and “Scale Strokes and Effects” and “Transform Patterns” ON
    doesn’t work properly in some cases, for example:
    irregularities in dash/gap lengths are introduced when scaling dashed lines,
    arrowheads are not scaled at all,
    pattern brushes are not scaled at all,
    art brushes are scaled partly (the unstretchable bits are not scaled while the main shaft is scaled).

    I would expect the same result as with Scale dialog box with the same settings — this one works perfectly. I want to replicate it as an appearance effect.

  19. Edges of a fill are rendered rough and innacurate

    Smaller circle is roughen, not smooth. This is really annoying since I'm working on a logo for a client and it has to be precise.
    This is really annoying. that wasn't the case last week... I updated to the latest version today.
