  1. AI doesn't expand folders in File > Scripts when you have over some number of nested folders

    I have 57 folders inside Scripts root folder.
    They are well-organized and have several levels of hierarchy:
    10 general folders containing (or not) files and folders. The deepest level is 3 folders.
    AI ignores folder content at I would say folder 54 and doesn't expand the last three. Clicking won't help.
    Do you have any limitations for nested folders in AI?
    Why it is not documented then?
    Anyway, fix it, please.
    Fix at least something besides your fresh CC 2019 bugs (that you still don't fix).

  2. Visual glitch prevents using Illustrator when file is opened from Finder before launching Illustrator

    As the title describes, this glitch occurs consistently whenever launching a file from finder before launching Illustrator.

    The file seems to open, as the layers can be seen in the layers window, but the main document editing window is occupied by the welcome menu. The welcome menu cannot be closed, and the files shown in the recent section cannot be opened. See image 1.

    The only way to exit the menu without closing Illustrator is to open another Illustrator file through Finder or through File > Open. Then, another visual glitch will take place: the tabs used to select the…

  3. Drag-n-drop across documents to locked layer warning

    Please see the animation.

    I have two documents, one with current layer is locked.
    When I try to drag my artwork from other document (in this locked layer, about which I very often don't remember), AI should have said something about 'You are attempting to paste or drag into one or more layers that are locked or hidden. Do you want to unlock and show all appropriate layers?'...

    But in my case it does not.
    I remember seeing it from time to time, but often it stops appearing.
    I have nothing as result, no warning, no message, nothing.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 27.1.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  5. Properties panel does not scale in width

    In Illustrator CC 2018 (Windows), the Properties panel does not scale in width, so it can not be grouped with other panels (when switching, all panels become equal to the Properties panel in width).

    In the transformation section of the object in the Properties panel, you can not change the size proportionally using the Ctrl + Enter shortcut. In the Transformation panel, you can do this.

  6. アートボード左上の角に丸が表示される ／ Brush tip shape appears in top-left corner of the artboard

    再現手順
    1. Illustratorを起動して新規ドキュメントを作成する
    2. ブラシパネルでカリグラフィブラシのサムネイルをクリックする
    3. アートボードの左上の角を確認すると、ブラシの先端形状の丸が表示される

    回避策
    - ブラシツールに切り替えてからカリグラフィブラシのサムネイルをクリックすると丸は表示されない
    - 丸が表示された後でも、ブラシツールに切り替えると消える

    一度でもブラシツールに切り替えれば、その後はIllustratorを終了するまで、新たな別のドキュメントを作成してもこの丸は出現しません。

    • MacOS14（Sonoma）+Illustrator2025（29.5）で確認
    • Windowsでも同様の手順で再現するそう
    • これまで再現条件が分からず報告出来なかったが、2022年の時点で既に発生しており、現在まで改善されないままである

    表示が煩わしいのみで特に大きな実害はありませんが、さらに古いバージョンでは発生しなかった不具合です。できるだけ早い解消が望まれます。

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a new document in Illustrator.
    2. In the Brushes panel, click a Calligraphic Brush thumbnail.
    3. A round shape appears in the top-left corner of the artboard.

    Workaround:
    - Switching to the Brush Tool before clicking the brush prevents this.
    - Switching to the Brush Tool after the shape appears will remove it.

    After switching to the Brush Tool once, it won’t appear again during the session.

    Notes:
    - Reproduced on macOS 14 (Sonoma) + Illustrator 2025 (v29.5).

  9. Eye icons are broken in all panels

    Unlike Photoshop, Opt/Alt+clicking an eye icon in Layers and Appearance does not hide everything else but the clicked item. The second Opt/Alt+click should revert the operation.

    Same should apply for lock icons.

    Then, clicking and dragging the cursor down through eyes to show/hide everything below the pointer works only in Layers — but not in the Appearance, where this is as much important as in Layers.

  10. Preferences dialog window opens small, tiny, shrunk, and I can't access any settings

    Problem with Preference panel in Illustrator since the last update of the app.

    A person from Adobe helped me yesterday by removing all the caches and preferences from illustrator, it worked right after but today it's happening again.

  11. Window and panels moving when Mac goes to sleep

    There is an issue with Adobe apps while using Mac M1 with an external monitor. When put in sleep, the windows and palettes move to the bottom half of the screen.

    There are comments on this thread that confirm

    this is an issue with specifically Adobe apps(illustrator, photoshop and indesign at least):

  12. Holding Ctrl does not enable Constrain Proportions for artboards

    If I have the Constrain Width and Height Proportions lock button depressed/disabled in the Control panel or for the Artboard tool, committing a change with Ctrl+Enter does not apply the change constrained, as it should do.

    Hitting Ctrl+Enter in Properties panel does not do anything at all. Properties is so broken.

  13. Illustrator window shrinks, size not big enough, can't open the illustration

    When I try to open a document from my drive, I get a pop-up window that says: Can't open the illustration. There is not enough room for the window; increase document area and try again.

    I've only had this issue since the last update. What can I do to fix this?

  14. Holding Shift (or Ctrl) to move RGB sliders together in Color panel doesn’t work when color is white

    A Help article on Color panel states we can hold Shift (also works for Ctrl, although unspecified there) to move color channels’ sliders 'in tandem', together, — http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/default-keyboard-shortcuts.html#keys_for_the_color_panel

    This indeed works, in both RGB and CMYK modes (not in HSB, since its values won’t benefit from it).

    However, if all three RGB sliders are at 255/100% (white), this mode doesn’t work — please see the GIF attached.

    It probably makes sense for CMYK, where it’s not clear if 0-0-0-0 should become something like 24-24-24-24, but it totally makes sense for RGB, where we expect to get a gray color.

  15. The Search field is missing on the Home Screen in Your Files section

    Having a search bar would save us a lot of time.
    Basically when I want a specific file and I know the name I have to swipe and look thru almost a thousand of my files to find it… if there was a search bar I would be able to type in the project name and access my files in seconds vs 10-15 minutes… I have a lot of projects…

  16. An action set can’t be dragged into the topmost position

    For some peculiar reason an action set item can’t be dropped at the top of the list in Actions panel, like it’s shown in the GIF attached. To workaround this, you have to put it second, and then put the first one after it.
    Minor, but still a bug.

  17. accept both full stop and comma as decimal separator

    Illustrator is very picky when it comes to entering decimal fractions in input fields. E.g. when using Dutch as keyboard language, the . is not allowed, and ignored, so we have to use the comma, which does not reside on the num keypad.
    Please make Ai accepting both the . and the ' as a decimal separator.

  18. Zoom Tool – Zoom out sometimes doesn't work

    I often zoom out by selecting the Zoom Tool from the toolbar, then holding down 'Option' and clicking the mouse to zoom out. This does work most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't work and I have to click another tool option then click back to Zoom for it to work properly.

    Not sure if there's something specific I'm doing before to prevent it from working, or if it's just random.

  20. Unable to Resize Tool Panels (vertical axis)

    Cannot 'grab' the bottom edge of a panel in the right column to move up or down. Panel size seems 'locked.' This causes lots of wasted space in the right column tool set UI. This problem exists in both the Essentials workspace and the Essentials Classic. This was not an issue in previous versions of Ai. Thanks for addressing this bug!
