Rotate tool repeatable bug,
Copy by Rotate Tool, Repeatable Bug
OS: Windows 10
Illustrator Version: 23.0.1Steps to reproduce:
- create a box or square
- activate the rotate tool (R)
- click on any corner of the box to move the pivot
- begin rotation
- hold down ALT to initiate copy
- release mouse to end rotation and complete copy
Expected Result:
Copy of object created at rotation specified by tool.Actual Result:
At this point, illustrator will not release the copy and end the rotation. Attempting to select off the tool will not be allowed, as if a modal dialog is up. The only way to regain…5 votes -

Embed images disappears/ becomes damaged after illustrator crash.
It started to happen after I changed to windows 10 and dobe updated the Illustrator version. Prevent this from happening, cause when images are embed I do not have any copies in my computer. They are just there in illustrator and lots of hard work might be lost.

Ai file really slow
I'm working on a file which is running very slow but i can't figured out why. I've followed all the steps in the "Performance" thread but it didn get better
File has a lot of graphics but it seems that the problem isnt my pc, Ram used is only 30% of total Ram

Global colours don't seem to be preserved in freeform gradients
I have complex files that are made up of multiple gradients to create a 3D effect. Some of the gradients are linear and some are freeform. I am currently in the process of creating artwork files for both print and digital. To create the digital files I am converting all the files to RGB. There is a specific brand colour that has a different RGB make up than the standard conversion. I thought, no problem, I'll just update the global colour swatch and it should cascade through. CRASHING VERY OFTEN.
I am hard Illustrator user, for over 20 years. For my surprise, this October version crashes almost every day. I reinstalled the sofware in one Dell XPS 8700 Machine and in a brand new Samsung X40 Notebook. In both cases AI still crashing suddenly. Not saving work
Illustrator 2019 is not saving my work properly. I save the file, then close and reopen it to find only half the work was actually saved.

Illustrator crashes (hangs) when creating a new file on second monitor
When creating a new file in Illustrator on my second monitor, the program hangs, and I have to force quit it.
If I try to do the exact same operation on my main monitor, it works as expected.
Pretty straight-forward operation to get to the problem, but if you need any further info, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

クリックして非表示と表示を切り替えようとするのですが、一瞬切り替わったようにパネルは反応しますがその表示がすぐもとに戻ってしまいます。結果操作しても切り替えができません。

freeform gradient tool is grayed out and not working.
I have updated Illustrator and the new freeform gradient tool is grayed out in the gradient panel. It is not usable.

Unable to retain the last active artboard on switching from another file
This is related to this issue here, though I'm unable to vote or comment on it. So I'm reposting this issue, because it's still annoying.
When I ⌘+Tilde (~), on certain documents (the setting seems to be saved to a document), it automatically Fits Artboard to Screen on the last artboard of the document. It is confusing, and annoying, and interrupts workflows where I need to move quickly between artboards. Please fix this.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

SVG properties settings reset with software update
We use custom settings in the SVG properties window when we save images as SVGs. When I install an illustrator update, it wipes out my custom settings and replaces them with the default settings.

Serious performance lag on 23.0.6
Just updated to 23.0.6 I am on an imac 3.6ghz i9 with 64gb ram. I would click on a block of text and delete - there would be a long pause, beach ball, block deletes, pause, back to work. GPU vs CPU view didn't make a difference. I switched back to 23.0.5 and everything is fine.

Cannot double click to open an AI document, or open a smart object from Photoshop
If Illustrator is closed, I can double-click on a file name, or a smart object in photoshop, and the file will open in Illustrator. If Illustrator is open this is not possible. My workaround has been to open the file from within Illustrator (tedious, but doable). However, there is no workaround to open a photoshop smart object. So I literally have to close Illustrator each and every time I want to open and edit a smart object. At first I thought this had to do with having objects on the clipboard, but even after clearing the clipboard this is still…

Illustrator Help yields PAGE NOT FOUND error
I have tried to access Illustrator Help... several times now via the Help Menu option of the same name as well as the F1 key, and Safari yielded the following "Page Not Found" error message, saying "The page you are trying to access was not found. Please check your URL for typos and try again."
This is the first time I have seen this bug, which is now repeatable and reliable..
Updated Illustrator CC 2019 to version 23.0.6 last night. On a MacBook Pro Retina mid-2014 running MacOS 10.14.6.

Blob Brush Crash Problem
I'm using Microsoft Surface Pro, Windows 10, Ram 8GB, processor intel i5, 2.40GHz.
Illustrator CC 23.0.2
When I use Blob Brush with a size set to variate depending on pressure, Illustrator crashes all the time. It's not a heavy file, I'm working on really simple illustrations. I have just updated to the newest version but the problem persists. Any ideas whether the fault is in Illustrator or my machine just can't handle a simple blob brush?4 votes
