4. Opening Graphic styles causes crashes of v23 (and previous versions)

   Crashing when graphic styles panel is opened.

   December 2018
   After your technicians shared the screen and saw this happened even with a blank canvas, I was promised this would be fixed soon.

   September 2019
   Graphic Styles STILL crashes.
   Others are also having problems.

   WHEN will this be fixed? ETA?

   Mac OSX 10.13.6
   32 Gigs of Ram
   3 terabyte hard drive

5. Bounding box suddenly disappears using Selection Tool

   Suddenly disappears, but when a select scale then select the "Selection Tool" again the Bounding box reappears. When it is gone, togglingthe quick key, has no effect though t changes the menu state for turning it on and off. Also, when it can't be seen, a small icon for the bounding box is in the corner, occasionally.

   Sound familiar to anyone else?

   I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 23.0.6 which is available worldwide now.

   Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

6. Graphic Styles Panel Crashes Illustrator (macOS Movaje)

   Illustrator CC 2019 on macOS Mojave becomes unusable after loading the "Graphic Styles" panel. After the panel loads, there's a brief beach ball followed by the "Not enough memory to process the appearance" error message. The menus then become "greyed out" and the only way to proceed is to force quit illustrator and restart.

   On the surface I can avoid loading the "Graphic Styles" panel, but there are other panels that I need to load that only load with the "Graphic Styles" panel attached to them.

   I've deleted the AI preferences and uninstalled/reinstalled Illustrator and the result is the same.

   Here is the code

   for(var i=0;i<500;i++){
   var doc = app.documents.add();
   doc.saveAs(File('~/Desktop/Test'+(i+1)))
   doc.close();
   }
   Run, this code and you will never able to create 500 documents. I use automation a lot and in one go I have to loop over 1000 documents that have graphics inside it. BUt here in sample cript I am not doing nothing just crating 500 documents without any graphics, still Illustrator frezees.

   I have attached the screenshots for memory usage. It reaches upto 6GB

8. Stroke with gradient: overprinting attribute not set

   When a stroke with a gradient is set to overprinting, the overprinting attribute is not set anymore when reopening the file.

   Attached is a screenshot of an example.

   We are using CC 2018 and CC 2017, on Mac OS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 on various machines.

9. illustrator wont open file windows

   I have searched the support site and user voice with no results.

   When I attempt to drag an *.ai file from the explorer window to Illustrator, or when I double click the file, it does not open. When I double click the file, Illustrator opens or switches to the window, my cursor briefly shows the 'thinking' animation but nothing happens.

   • There is no freeze or crash
   • Restart of the application did not fix the issue.
   • File>>Open is the only way I can open files
   • This happens to all files whether created with CC 2019 or earlier versions

   Specs:
   Illustrator CC 2019
   Windows 10

10. Embedded images are lost when saving as a PDF

    When I save a .ai file as a .pdf, many of the embedded .psd images are missing when I open the PDF in Acrobat. I have reinstalled Illustrator (2019) and Acrobat (Pro DC), but the problem persists. I have tried saving using different pdf formats, but the images are still missing in the PDF. If, however, I open the PDF in Illustrator, the images reappear. Thoughts?

11. Crash in windows 10 64-bit when using trackpad to scroll in layers panel

    I've crashed twice today, both times while scrolling the layers panel down using the track pad. Two fingers on the track pad and start scrolling and crash. All changes to open files get lost as there is no recovery files to open. It is a hard crash, no bug report screen pops up, the app just aborts.

13. Recolor not working on items within a clipping mask

    Items inside of clipping masks do not get recolored like they used to using the Recolor tool. You have to directly select them now and manually recolor.

14. Missing embedded graphic upon export

    I am creating a poster in Illustrator. I had a linked .png file that I had converted to black and white to use as a raster texture effect over my vector artwork. I accidentally had set my color mode to RGB when I created the file, so I converted to cmyk. When I had exported to RGB previous to this, everything exported fine. However, when I converted to cmyk, and I tried exporting, the raster image was missing upon export. I searched the web and tried saving the image as a TIFF & relinking, then as a PSD file and relinking, then embedding the file, and checking overprint preview. I tried all of this and the graphic is still missing upon exporting to JPEG. Help! Is this a bug, or am I missing something major?!

15. Illustrator crash by opening Fonts

    Everytime when I am in an open file (new or existing) when I go to fonts (above in the menu so you can see visually all the fonts how they look) AI crashes. I cannot find the problem. Delete and reinstalled is serveral times... who can help me, please

16. Linked multipage .ai documents within Illustrator will not be stored properly anymore if linked more than once

    When you place another .ai file in Illustrator 23.0.6 more than once and with the linked ai. file containing multiple artboards, it will no longer refer to the chosen specific artboards of that linked .ai file for the different placements but replace them all with just one artboard after saving and reopening your file.
    It will replace all the different linked artboards of the one file with the artboard placement which will be most top in layer manager!

    place ai. file in open Illustrator document with a specific artboard
    place the same ai. file in that open Illustrator file with an additional, different artboard from the linked .ai file
    save file
    close file
    open file again

    all different placements now show only one, same artboard, in all instances of the multiple-linked .ai file!

    What are you doing at Adobe...

17. Illustrator not selecting color from CC color library

    I am using MacOS Mojave 10.14.15 and recently updated illustrator to 23.0.4.
    I've noticed that I unable to change my foreground/background color from selecting from my CC color library panel.

18. Paragraph style tab numeric measure is wrong

    v22.1/23/0.1
    Windows 10

    Both v22.1 and 23.0.1 show the wrong numeric 'X' measure when setting or adjusting a tab stop in a paragraph style. The measure shown is inflated both according to the ruler below the tab stop, and tabs set using the tab window. The numeric measure is inflated by an increasing amount the further the tab is from the left margin, and remains inflated whether units are set to mm or inches.
    eg. 20mm tab stop shows as 29.8mm in the paragraph style dialog

    The issue is no longer a problem in the latest versions of Illustrator.

19. GPU performance

    GPU performance in iMac 27" 5k with AMD Radeon R9 M380 2 GB
    turns colors to a pale tone.

    Using CPU preview turns back the vivid colors but it slows down the performance.

    Any clue how to fix this?

    I'm using the latest update of Mojave and Illustrator v. 23.0.1

20. One column toolbar is not remembered and becomes two columns each launch

    Toolbar does not remember the one column setting if "Show the home screen when no documents are open" is uncheck.

    Step to reproduce:

    1. Reset all settings
    2. Run Illustrator
    3. For example set "Essentials" workspace (now you have one column toolbar)
    4. Open preferences
    5. Uncheck "Show the home screen when no documents are open"
    6. Check "Use Legacy File New Interface"
    7. Restart Illustrator
    8. Now toolbar have two columns (and thats the problem)

    You must reset the workspace every time you open Illustrator to keep one column toolbar

    This error has already been confirmed by the your employee "Dipak Kumar"
