1. Can only open 1 Ai file at a time

   Can only open one Ai file at a time. If current Ai file open is open in Illustrator and you try to open another file concurrently through all means, it will not open. The only way around this is to open each file in a different version of Illustrator, or completely close Ai to open the new file.

2. Type and Text Sizing

   Illustrator CC 2017

   I was adding a Type/Text box into my design when Adobe Illustrator stopped working and not responding. Then when I was able to get it back up I could place a Type/Text box in my design but the box was filled with lines and lines of unwanted text. I got that fixed but now the text comes up at barely 1/16th of an inch and I am unable to change the font size. I have done everything that everyone has suggested and I have also uninstalled the program and re-installed it and the problem is still occurring. I really need to get this fixed ASAP

3. Illustrator CC 2017 (macOS 10.13) crashes unexpectedly in High Sierra.

   I was creating a second artboard and about to save my file when the program just crashed. This is the third time this has happened since I upgraded and before I realized there was a compatibility issue. Also, when opening Illustrator first thing in the morning after turning the computer on, it is back to taking a long time to open, usually getting hung up on the Perspective.aip.

4. High Sierra: "Package" function doesn't work

   Hi everyone. On High Sierra the "Package" function doesn't work properly (Illustrator 21.1.0). The fonts are packed completely, the links sometimes too, but often there are a lot missing links. The document itself is not saved into the packed folder. A message appears, that the packaging couldn't be done.

6. Adobe illustrator CC 2017 Stoped working

   Adobe illustrator CC 2017 stopped working,
   when trying to open exsisting files or create new files in adobe illustratior cc 2017
   it comes up with error -

   a problem caused the program to stop working
   correctly. window will close the program and
   notify you if a solution is available.

8. Failure to Launch on OS X 10.12 (Sierra)

   Fresh install (never had Illustrator nor Photoshop on this Mac), on OSX 10.12.6. Downloaded and installed okay, both Illustrator and Photoshop, but neither of them successfully launch. Both abort out before the splash screen appears with an uncaught exception.

9. zoom tool?

   did something happen to the simple command + and command - zoom keyboard shortcuts? I've been using those since 1995 or 6, and now when i use them it centers me on a specific, but unselected artboard?

10. After I type text, I can't correct a word. When I click on it it will select a new text box above it. I can only delete the entire text.

    After typing a word/paragraph, I can not delete any part of the word except I can select it and delete the entire word/text box. I just got illustrator a couple of months ago and I have always had a problem with it, but now it doesn't work at all. Help!

14. Illustrator scales down pasted snagit captures

    After zooming in or isolating objects, other objects disappear upon zooming out. I have to select and isolate invisible objects in order for them to reappear.

16. Illustrator Freezes + This Website Broken

    So I open an .ai in the latest version of Illustrator, everything works. I open another .ai file, everything freezes / stops working. I need to use Task Manager to close Illustrator. I reinstalled it, same issue.

    Regarding the website, when I click in Illustrator to submit a bug, it sends me to https://illustrator.uservoice.com/ where the 'Bug' button does not do anything. Are you for real, Adobe?!?!

17. ps import

    ps files do not import correctly into AI. Transparent portions will render as gray. Some portions of the image fail to render at all. For example, this PDF ( from a ps file) will display differently in AI than any PDF viewer with the transparent background as gray.

18. Bounding box is incorrectly displayed on multiple highdpi displays

    When using multiple monitors with different Hi-DPI settings on Windows OS, the bounding box for the selected item is sometimes displayed incorrectly.
    I work on a dual display setup: my primary monitor is a 15.6inch 4K display @ 200% DPI scaling settings, and my second monitor is 24inch 2560*1440 display @ 125% DPI scaling.
    When working on a larger second monitor, the bounding box for a selected item is displayed at an incorrect position, which makes the work very difficult.

19. CSS Extraction tool code formatting issues

    Is there any way to alter the code formatting for this panel? It drives me nuts that the open bracket starts on a new line, all lines are indented with two spaces (seriously, who does two spaces? It's either four spaces or 1 tab), that there's a space before and after every colon, gives me both hex and rgba colors with no option to select just one, not to mention multi-word font family names aren't in quotes.

    This is almost a useful tool, if it didn't require so much cleanup after copying/pasting, and I shouldn't have to run it through BBEdit or manually clean it up first every time. This would almost be easier to just look at and type out manually to my code editor, if the panels didn't disappear when Illustrator was out of focus.

20. Illustrator does not change the colour profile of Swathes between open files of different color profiles

    See Case 0189293847.
    "Basic RGB" Colour Swatch does not change colour when switching files (tabs) of open files with different Embedded profiles.
    If you close down then open illustrator, it will take and then keep the swatch with that profile.

    Replication of error.

    1. Create .ai file that has the "ProPhoto RGB" assigned profile and save ensuring the ICC profile is embedded
    2. Create .ai file that has the "sRGB" assigned profile and save ensuring the ICC profile is embedded

    3. Edit>"Colour Settings", and set the Working Space RGB to "ProPhoto RGB"
       Tick on:

       • Profile Mismatches
       • Missing Profiles Press OK

    4. Close down Illustrator

    5. Restart Illustrator

    6. Open up the "ProPhoto RGB" file first,
       then open up the "Basic RGB" swatch panel:
       Swatches Window > from the Menu "Open Swatch Library" > "Default Swatches" > "Basic RGB"

    7. Screen grab the "Basic Swatch Menu" and place into MS Office Paint
       You will notice the very saturated Red, Green Cyan and Magenta

    8. Open up the "sRGB" file next
       Note that the "Basic RGB" swatch panel does not change colour.
       Screen grab and paste into Paint and compare.

    9. Now close down Illustrator and repeat the process,
       but this time open up in the opposite order:
       "sRGB" first
       "ProPhoto" second

    You will notice this time that the "Basic RGB" swatch panel is not so saturated,
    and now matches the first file opened "sRGB".
    switching between panels does not change the colour of the "Basic RGB" swatch panel.
    Screen grab the "Basic RGB" swatch panel and paste into paint,
    and compare .. you will notice the change of color.

    The "Basic RGB" swatch panel should change colour as you switch between files that are open.
    It doesn't. This is a bug.

    You can change the "Colour Settings" so that the working space profile is "sRGB":
    Edit>"Colour Settings", and set the Working Space RGB to "sRGB"
    and repeat the stages above and you get the same issue.

    You should not have to shut down illustrator, for the swatches panel to pick up the new colours
    as you switch between open files on the tab.

    "Basic RGB" Colour Swatch does not change colour when switching files (tabs) of open files with different Embedded profiles.
    If you close down then open illustrator, it will take and then keep the swatch with that profile.

    Replication of error.

    1. Create .ai file that has the "ProPhoto RGB" assigned profile and save ensuring the ICC profile is embedded
    2. Create .ai file that has the "sRGB" assigned profile and save ensuring the ICC profile is embedded

    3. Edit>"Colour Settings", and set the Working Space RGB to "ProPhoto RGB"
       Tick on:

       • Profile Mismatches
       • Missing Profiles Press OK

    4. Close down Illustrator
