1. GPUプレビューモードで高解像度２階調の埋め込み画像の表示がおかしくなる。

   再現手順
   1.1200ppi程度のモノクロ2階長画像を用意する。
   2.IllustratorにてGPUプレビューの状態で1.の画像を配置
   3.配置した画像を埋め込むと表示が反転する。

   期待する結果
   埋込前と埋込後で表示がかわらない。

   実際の結果
   埋め込んだビットマップの表示が反転される。

   現状の回避方法
   埋込んだビットマップ画像が存在するドキュメントではCPUプレビューかオーバープリントプレビューで表示を行う。

   これはGPU表示における不具合です。PDF保存などを行うと正常に保存されますが、GPUプレビューが使えない状態というのは作業性が悪くストレスがたまります。

2. Animated zoom bug (workspace flickers and turns black when in a group)

   1. Windows 11 (latest)
   2. Illustrator 28.3
   3. The screen flickers and turns black using Animated Zoom within a group. If I exit the group (using escape), the screen returns to normal. Animated Zoom works normally as long as I am not within a group.

   The video I've uploaded shows me double-clicking a group to enter it, then using Animated Zoom to produce the flickering and black screen. I hit escape to exit the group, and the screen returns to normal. I then demonstrate that Animated Zoom works correctly when not within the group.

4. Star shape expand not working in 2025 update

   Illustrator 29 (2025 update) on Mac - The live shapes are great, and I was able to create a cog, but I can't expand the shape like in the previous versions, and the corners stay "live." In properties panel, I click on "Expand Shape" but the shape stays editable as if it's still "live" - see screenshots attached.

5. When using Export As SVG in 28.5 and 28.6, underscores get replaced with '_x5F_', unlike in 28.4 and earlier

   When exporting to .svg, '_x5F' text is added to one of the layers, which then changes the order that things are displayed.
   I do not understand how this text is now added and would like to prevent it from happening.

   「文字間のカーニング：オプティカル」のテキストに「タブ」パネルで「タブ位置」と「リーダー」を設定しても、タブの位置で文字が揃わない。

   MacOS Monterey（12.7.4） + Illustrator 2024（28.4.1）

   再現手順:
   1. テキストオブジェクトに文字パネルで「文字間のカーニング：オプティカル」を設定する
   2. 「タブ」パネルで「タブ揃え」、「タブ位置」、「リーダー」を設定する

   期待された結果:
   指定したタブ揃え・タブ位置でテキストが揃う

   実際の結果:
   指定したタブ揃え・タブ位置でテキストが揃わない

   回避方法:
   ・テキスト中のタブのみに「オプティカル」以外のカーニングを設定する
   ・タブを設定したテキストでは「オプティカル」以外のカーニングを利用する

   「オプティカル」以外のカーニングを利用すれば回避できますが、フォントや文字の内容によっては「オプティカル」を使いたいこともあります。その都度タブのみに「メトリクス」等を設定するのは手間がかかります。また、「リーダー」に記号等を設定しなければテキストは揃いますが、それではタブの機能を利用する意味がありません。
   InDesignにも同様の機能がありますが、カーニングの設定が何であれテキストの位置はタブ位置で揃います。
   ユーザーの工夫で回避するのではなく、Illustrator側が改善すべき挙動だと考えます。

   ---Use translation tools---

   When "Tab" and "Leader" are set on optical kerning texts, texts are not aligned at the tab position.

   Steps to reproduce:
   1. set optical kerning to the text.
   2. set tab alignment, tab position, and leader in the "Tabs" panel.

   Expected result
   Text is aligned at the specified position.

   Actual result:.
   Text is not aligned at the specified position.

   Workaround
   - Set kerning other than "optical" only for tabs in text.
   - Use kerning other than "optical" for tab-set text.

   We can get around this by using kerning other than "Optical", but we want to use "Optical" for some fonts and content. It is time-consuming to set "Metrics" etc. only for tabs each time. Also, if "Leader" is empty, texts will be aligned, but that does not make sense to use tab feature.
   InDesign has a similar feature, but whatever kerning setting is, texts are aligned at the tab position.
   I think Illustrator behavior should be improved, rather than working around it with user ingenuity.

9. Smart Guide Measurement Labels give a diameter for polygon live shapes, but show a width and height

   Smart guide measurement labels display the diameter of polygon live shapes rather than their width/height, but still lists it as W/H in the label itself.

   Steps:
   1. Create a polygon with a square bounding box (like an octagon)
   2. With smart guide measurement labels on, drag to a specific size.
   3. Note discrepancy between the size listed when you release and the size in the transform panel.

   Result: Label displays a different W/H figure than the transform panel.
   Expected result: Either the measurement label explicitly informs the users that it displays diameter (i.e.: 'Dia: 100 px'), or it displays the bounding box width/height.

   I'd imagine the latter is more sensible since a diameter for polygons is listed nowhere else that I am aware.

   Smart guide measurement labels display the diameter of polygon live shapes rather than their width/height, but still lists it as W/H in the label itself.

11. Separations preview is wrong for dynamic symbol with spot color

    When a dynamic symbol gets a spot color applied to one of its fills, then the separations preview does not show the correct separation.

12. New Document settings reset while being entered

    When creating a new document in Illustrator, you can begin tabbing down through the fields and assigning numbers as you go (such as setting up standard business cards by typing 3.5, tab twice, type 2, tab thrice, set 3 artboards, tab once and enter top bleed amount, etcetera).

    The problem is, before I can completely enter my values, the program randomly moves to another field (possibly the first of the Recent Items, or wherever focus is upon bringing up the New Document dialog). This often means my new document winds up being "reset" to the last size created, and I have to close the new document and start a new document to fix the issue.

    It seems to become less prevalent the longer the New Document dialog remains open, but it's quite annoying to be flying along and hit this terrible speedbump.

13. Arabic text is not searchable in a PDF saved from Illustrator

    Arabic text is not searchable in a PDF saved from Illustrator.
    In Adobe Illustrator v. 29.2.1 (Middle Eastern version) on Mac OS 15.2, I created a document with A4 size page, typed any number of words, lines in Arabic Language.

    I choose to save the file as PDF. Then in Acrobat, when I search for any Arabic word, I get the message "No matches were found".
    The same text placed into Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word, then Export the page as PDF. Those PDFs are fully searchable.

    I believe that PDFs out of Adobe Illustrator are the only ones with this problem.

14. Radial Gradient Exports very large SVG with a many ellipse elements instead of using gradient tag.

    Sometimes when you select colors with pipette for radial gradients and export SVG the single radial gradient become hundreds of layers of ellipses. A single element should only export one element with a fill of a single radial gradient.

    I tried uploading a zip or the SVGs but this ****** form uploader wouldn't let me.

15. Cloud documents miss profile when downloaded

    Color profiles are missing when downloading .aic cloud documents from adobe.com/files or using the CC app, ICC profiles are missing. When opening the .aic files from the desktop application, the embedded profiles are still there.

17. 縦組みテキストの行末にある、縦中横の括弧類のアキが不均衡

    縦組みテキストの中で、行末に縦中横の括弧類を配置することがあります。例えば「100ｇの水にとける物質の質量〔ｇ〕」のような文です。

    その場合〔ｇ〕の"〔"は50%アキ、"〕"は0%アキになり、文がセンターに揃わなくなります。縦組みの縦中横で括弧類が両端にあるとき、両方のアキが0%になるとありがたいです。

    環境

    • macOS 12.7.3(Apple Silicon)
    • Illustrator 2024(28.5.0) この仕様がいつからあるのかわかりませんが、少なくともCS6では再現します。

    再現手順

    1. 縦組みポイント文字に「100ｇの水にとける物質の質量〔ｇ〕」と打つ
    2. 〔ｇ〕に縦中横をかける

    期待する結果

    括弧はそれぞれアキ0%になり、文はセンターに揃います。

    実際の結果

    "〔"は50%アキ、"〕"は0%アキになり、文がセンターに揃わなくなります。

    回避策

    • 文字組アキ量設定をなしにすると各アキは50%になり、ひとまずセンターには揃う
    • 行末に縦中横でない文字を追加すると各アキは50%になり、ひとまずセンターには揃う
    • 行末にカーニング500を追加すると各アキは50%になり、ひとまずセンターには揃う

18. Text wraps differently in Illustrator 2025 compared to previous version

    Encountered a very frustrating bug after updating to Illustrator 2025 today and opening an existing file. It turns out that text within type areas wraps slightly differently in this new version, causing overflow errors in several places throughout the document.

    The file I discovered this in was created yesterday in Illustrator 28.5.

    Interestingly, when I hover the affected text area, the blue preview rendering shows the old, expected wrapping. There is no way to get it back in the actual, rendered text, though.

    Zero changes have been made to this file since yesterday—only the Illustrator version has changed. I checked that this was indeed a bug by having a team member open the same file in the previous version of Illustrator, and the text was still displayed correctly there.

    This is really frustrating, as the only workaround is to manually lower the kerning value at the end of the word that should be on the line above. Very annoying to have to take care of this in a design file that was already finished and approved.
