  1. UI Glitches, but can still edit and save project

    Sometimes when I'm working the UI in illustrator CC 2021 will glitch out and cease to work. However, keyboard shortcuts & saving the file still works. Usually when this happens I just save, close and re-open my file and it goes away, but it can be annoying.

    I'm running the most recent version of illustrator with a Ryzen 5 3600X, 16gb of ram, and a GTX 1660 Super graphics Card.

  2. Filename Underscore Bug

    Since updating to 25.1, each time I print to our Flexrip, an underscore is added to the filename. It appears as "_Filename" after ripping.
    Mac OS Catalina - 10.15.7 (19H512)

  3. Learn tab prompt covers necessary tabs

    I hate the learn tab with the fire of 1000 suns and I long for the sweet release of death to keep me from seeing this prompt I have no ability to disable.

    Every time I start Illustrator I get this prompt to use the Learn tab. I don't want to use the Learn tab, I have work to do and this prompt covers important parts of the interface that I need to do my job.

    There's no affordance to turn it off, the links just open a tab I do not want. It take 3 click to dismiss it…

  4. Buffer memory glitch

    I have iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) running the latest BigSur 11.1, Illustrator the latest version 25.1. For the last year or so I was upset by glitches while working with complex shapes. In recent weeks it became so severe as to stop my work completely. Whenever I copy an object, especially several objects, it immediately pastes a text block with gibberish. I turned off "including SVG code" in clipboard handling option yesterday and it helped for some time, now it came back with full force.

  5. illustrator 2021 won't open large files created in 2020 version

    Opening large files created in the 2020 version gives a message " Illustrator could partially read this file. We recovered as much of the file as possible, but some content might be missing. Open to view the recovered file."

    Any file with multiple layers or artboards only shows one artboard and layers are missing. The weird thing is the preview shows the full file and artboards, they just won't open.

    Is anyone else having this problem? I've found that if you install illustrator 2020 and open it there it usually works (although not always)

  6. Knife leaving behind graphical artifacts on low opacity

    I just updated Illustrator on my Mac OS and I am really unhappy. One of my most used tools, the knife, leaves behind little, uneven and ugly shapes on the edges of the cut objects. This only happens on objects that have a lowered opacity. That ruins my work as I like to cell shade with low opacity blacks. Please fix that.

  7. Pfade Fehlerhaft!

    Bei Adobe Illustrator gibt es bei den Pfaden, seit dem neuesten Update, eine unschönen Rand. Was kann man tun bzw. können Sie diesen Fehler beheben?

  8. Guides and SmartGuides not showing in Illustrator 25

    Guides and SmartGuides are not activating. I have tried every fix suggested in forums, all the way to uninstalling, cleaning with the provided cleanup tool, and reinstalling. Still, the guides don't show. Have toggled every snap feature in every possible combination, they still don't show up.

  9. Workspace Panels Disappearing and/or not opening

    I have a problem with workspace panels not showing up sometimes, or showing up but won't expand in order to use them after I launch Illustrator. The problem only affects the panels on the right, it never affects the toolbar or control panel.

    I have had this problem over many versions of Illustrator, on different operating systems including fresh Adobe and Mac OS installs from scratch (not migrated) However I am currently on Mac OS 10.15.6 using Illustrator 25.1 and now very fed up with the bug.

  10. 25.1 Type Library is invalid

    Can not create Illustrator.Application.

    The CLSID value stored in the Windows registry and ScriptingSupport.aip is different.

    It seems that you need to create an Application object with a new CLSID, but the 25.0 version ID is stored in the registry.

  11. TEXT TOOL NOT WORKING - WEIRD SHAPES APPEAR

    I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Same issue remains

    I create a text box and it looks like a barcode, kind of. I can't type anything. If I type, the weird barcode thing disappears and no works appear. If I type a lot of random characters and enlarge it and unselect the box it gets weirder, it just become a giant jagged blob. I can't explain it any better than that. Extremely annoying.

  12. Eyedropper tool vanished from tools panel

    Whenever I restart my computer and open Illustrator, the eyedropper tool disappears from my tools list. The measure tool is in its place. No option to hold down the measure tool to expand to the eyedropper tool. Also not showing up when you try to add the tool via the Edit Toolbar feature.

  14. Not possible to install Illustrator on M1

    can't download the apps from my Creative Cloud. Error message 146.
    I have granted all access rights to the necessary folders and subfolders, but still get the error message. Setting up a new user admin did not help either.
    Can someone please help me! I need Illustrator urgently for my job!

  16. Repelling objects

    (macOS Big Sur Illustrator 2021) objects, lines, etc don't snap together like in previous versions of illustrator. i cannot get objects to align at all. they seem to bounce each other away like magnets.

  17. Apple Emoji glyphs now crop at the bottom when rasterising + viewing - after Big Sur update

    I have updated to Big Sur. 2018 MacBook Pro. The Apple Emoji glyphs updated. Now, they are cropped about 3-5px on the bottom. Baseline shift doesn't help, rasterising doesn't help, changing the size of the type doesn't help. The emoji are permanently cropped now in both 2019 and 2020 AI versions, as well as in Photoshop. This is both when viewing the letterform, and when rasterising or outlining it. Please help! <3 I am trying to finish a job that looked great before Big Sur. Can't find anything on line.

  18. Scale Stroke & Effects not working with Symbols in Scale Window

    The Scale Strokes & Effects checkbox in the Scale Window doesn't work with Symbols.

    You have to enable/disable Scale Strokes & Effects before entering the Scale dialog to get it to work with symbols.

  19. new update (v25.1) hangs when I select all text

    Hi, when I select all text objects in a file (Select>Object>All text objects), Illustrator hangs and I have to force quit. We have all had to revert to V24.3

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  20. Whenever I enter Outline mode(Ctrl+Y), Illustrator turn into 'view using CPU mode

    I can reproduce this bug on my rig. Whenever I enter outline mode(Ctrl+Y), illustrator, initially using GPU to render the artwork, turn into using CPU. And it stay there even I exit the outline mode.

    • The only thing to fix it is close the file and open it again. It's getting annoying pretty quickly(part of it because 'View using CPU' performance is abysmal and sluggish. My CPU has 6 cores 12 thread, not top of the line, but not cheap model either.
