  1. Duplicating Artboard will unlock and show locked and hidden elements.

    When using the Artboard Tool and clicking on a + sign next to an artboard while holding the Alt/Option key to duplicate an artboard with its contents, Illustrator will Show and Unlock all hidden and locked objects/layers.
    It does this only the first time, when using Undo and trying again it works correct.

  2. Restore Highlighted Ruler Markers when moving objects

    This is a feature that was there before the last major updates. To explain, previously when you say, make a duplicate of one object and drag it across the artboard, you would see the little marker move across the ruler while holding the object. Since it is now gone, there is heavy guesswork going on when I'm trying to move close to a specific distance. This request is in regard to this tool only. I know all about distributing objects, etc. I'm just looking to restore this little feature that dropped from this tool.

  3. Crashes immediately when adding a leader before a "tate-chu-yoko" text in vertical orientation

    Guaranteed immediate crashing upon adding a leader in the Tabs panel to a tabbed gap right before a character that's set as tate-chu-yoko.
    Now I have to use bad workarounds just to circumvent this...
    Hope it gets fixed soon.

  4. Recent colors become None when Global or Spot Colors are used

    Some Recent Colors are displayed as the None Swatch when Spot or Global colors have been added to the Recent Colors.
    Turn on in the Edit > Color Settings all checkboxes for warnings about Mismatches or Missing profiles.
    The default is unchecked. When they are unchecked, you will get no warning when opening a file with Global (or Spot) Colors in the Recent Colors and the file just opens without showing the problem.

  5. ESC key not exiting text editing and isolation modes in Illustrator 2025 on macOS and PC

    On macOS (latest version), ESC key does not exit text editing mode in Illustrator 2025 as it used to in previous versions.
    Resetting preferences and keyboard shortcuts does not fix it. I created a new action to perform the exit task temporarily.
    Expected behavior: ESC should exit text mode.

  6. Can't select linked png/bmp files when they have transparent backgrounds.

    Placing several linked BMP or PNG files with transparent backgrounds causes them to become randomly unselectable by clicking on them. You have to go to outline mode, find and select the edge of the image, or select with marquee tool and then carefully unselect the extra objects. Either way, it cannot be moved except to click on the edge of the images frame. This has been an issue for years. I think I may have even posted about it before, but can't find that now. IMO this is an issue that should be escalated as it such a basic operation…

  7. I think its a Paragraph Style bug thats affecting the latest version of Illustrator 2025 version 29.7.1

    I recently updated to version 29.7.1 of Illustrator 2025. All of a sudden my template file started crashed Illustrator at startup. The file opens in Illustrator 2024 - but not 2025. Troubleshooting the file - slowly deleting bits and pieces from the template file I managed to discover that the bit that was crashing Illustrator 2025 was a single block of text. The block of text has a Paragraph style in it and I think it might be this which is causing the crash (or it could be something else? Fonts). I've isolated the block and pasted it into the…

  8. This file will not allow viewing in GPU mode on my computer. It works fine on other computers.

    Apple M2 Max Macbook Pro 16-inch, 2023 OS 15.6 (24G84)

    Using Illustrator 29.7.1

    Upon opening this file (attachement wouldn't work - please provide another way to transfer) I can not use GPU mode no matter what I do. I tried reinstalling all of Creative Cloud, and then completely wiped my computer and started fresh. The file is still glitchy. It seems to only happen on my computer. Colleagues do not have an issue with the file. Happy to provide the packaged file, just can't upload zip here.

  9. Files don’t save! Saving starts and never finishes and can’t be cancelled

    The saving process starts as soon as I ask for it, but then it never finishes.
    This issue is happening since I download the latest version (29.7.1)

    The problem is not even letting me to close the program in the computer because "Illustrator is currently saving the document and will close it once the save process is complete" signal is appearing so I need to finish the task from the task administrator in the computer

  11. Toggle Visibility Not Working in Layers Panel

    Windows 11 desktop, 12 GB graphics card, 32 GB RAM, Intel processor with 3.60 GHz, 64 Bit x64-based processor
    29.7.1 (64 bit)
    I am creating a design and trying to toggle the background layers to compare. When I click on the eye icon in the Layers panel, the layers sometimes go on/off and most often do not. Essentially, toggling visibility does nothing.

    I have checked that my layers are visible in the hamburger menu. I have restarted Ai and restarted my computer.

    When using the Align tool in the Properties panel, using the arrow keys to nudge anything - text, boxes, or art - does not work. The tool in the actual Align panel works, but not Properties, meaning I have to have an extra panel open to avoid this issue. Others have also reported it.

  14. Enclosed Mode toggle button in Control and CTB

    Illustrator now has a dedicated option to permanently toggle Enclosed Selection Mode, in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display > Select Objects only within Marquee.
    However, there’s no hotkey we can assign to this option (or any other option in Preferences!) or a button outside or Prefs — in Control panel or Contextual Task Bar... Properties I don’t mention, since it’d certainly want me to have nothing selected.

  17. Symbol not following the artwork to move when moving, after update

    I’m writing to report a bug I’ve encountered in Adobe Illustrator since updating to version 29.7.

    When working on CAD artwork that includes symbols, I’ve noticed that when I try to move a symbol, the symbol artwork doesn't follow the intended movement. Instead, it either stays in place or shifts to an unexpected position. This issue did not occur in previous versions and is significantly affecting my workflow.

  18. 29.7.1アップデートにおけるテキスト入力について

    半角入力では問題なく行えますが、日本語の入力時にリアルタイムで反映されず、画面左上で文字が表示され、Enterを押すと入力されるという仕様になっていました。（添付画像参照）
    また、以前のバージョンではAlt + 右 / 左向き矢印キーでカーニングできていましたが、出来なくなりました。
    改善していただきたいです。

  19. Using 'Divide' Pathfinder action produces unexpected/incorrect results.

    Seems there is a bug in Pathfinder in Illustrator 29.7.1. When I use the 'divide' setting, it produces incorrect/unexpected results. Seems to be a new issue since upgrading.

  20. Illustrator 29.7.1 changes units to points and resets other values after changing Keyboard Increment value when Search field has text in it

    Another paradox is that version 29.7.1 of Illustrator constantly changes the units from px to points after entering an new value in keyboard increment. Does it happen to anybody else?
