Surface pro (2017) pen pressure problem
Hello everyone!
I don't Know if this is a bug, a missing driver or miscalibration, but I have a problem with the surface pro (2017) and the Adobe Illustrator paintbrush tool not working well together. I have the newest model of the surface pen, but the lines I draw with the paintbrush tool are not able to taper to a sharp edge even if I start with really low pressure and lift the pen carefully at the end. It always leaves this rounded edge.

Custom paper size in print dialog box is grayed out
I am using Windows 10 with Adobe Illustrator CC 22.1 64 bit. I need to print on 11.5 x 11 paper. I can't choose Custom or enter in paper dimensions. Those options are grayed out.

Takes about 15 minutes to open/unfreeze
Since the last update 22.1 it takes about 15 minutes to open...
I get a white frozen screen for an average of 15 minutes with just the contour of the app...and than it open nomally.My system:
Windows 10 Pro

Clipping masks get released when document is reopened
When I reopen a document with clipping masks the masks are released. It is very frustrating remaking all photos each time I open to make edits.

Illustrator Crashes when Opening File on Second Monitor
Illustrator is crashing when I open up the application on my second Monitor. But when I open it on my laptop it works. It will only work on my second monitor if I open it up on my laptop then drag to the second monitor. But if I want to open up another illustrator file it will crash again if I'm using the second monitor.

Tools not working.
Some tools not working. When I click on the text tool I get something that looks like a pencil with a circle with a slash through it underneath the pencil-brush-pen-line tools. I deleted preferences and nothing helps. This is very aggravating.

Selection Tolerance for text or drawing is off and very annoying
Using Mac OS X High Sierra 10.13.4 with Retina 5k display
Illustrator CC 2018 version 22.1Please reference the attached image.
Selecting a line. The curser is clearly on the line but the dot is highlighted instead.
Selecting text with the text tool: the curser is clearly over the text, but the it is highlighting the circle around the text instead.
Selecting dimension text: the curser is clearly over the text, but the tool shows text on a path.This is even more annoying when selecting a point. Click 20 times then give up and zoom in.

Selection tool Lagging and moving objects on click- High Sierra (macOS 10.13)
I have been an illustrator user since 2000.
After this most recent update I noticed that when I use the Selection Tool (V) . The item, image, line, vector group, no matter what I click, begins to lag and then automatically jumps to the location of my mouse, Thought I simply clicked the item to select it and then moved my mouse, not clicked and dragged. The object reacts as though I clicked and dragged, so I am forced to select an object, let the bug run it's course, and then hit cmd +Z to undo the unintentional move.

Installing new fonts don't automatically list in Illustrator unless I restart the App.
When I activate a new font in my font management app (in this case FontExplorer), the font doesn't show up in Illustrator. I have to quit Illustrator and reopen it in order to see the new font. In the past I didn't have this issue only in recent updates to Illustrator. Is there a way to fix this?

Bounding Box Issues - Incorrectly including shadow on some objects
There are several selection bugs related to the behavior of bounding boxes (as shown in the attached jpeg). If a shadow is applied to an object such as a rectangle shape, then the bounding box correctly stays around that rectangle. But edit a point on the rectangle and suddenly the bounding box also includes the shadow. This is not desirable as then rotating the object changes its center point depending on the location of the shadow. TorqExtension.aip error
When opening Illustrator CC, I get this error on launch:
"The procedure entry point ?getAvailableLocales@Collator@icu@@SAPEBVLocale@2@AEAH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library icui18n.dll."
This is followed by an error:
"Error loading plugins.

Adding Bleed to Previously Saved Files
I use Adobe CC. I've been trying to add bleed to a previously saved file without bleed. When I open the file then go to >document setup< I am able to add a 1" bleed, but the red bleed line doesn't appear around my artboards once I click ok. Then when I go back into >document setup< it shows that the bleed has been saved, but it is still not visible in the art files.
6 votesAs stated in the comments, to view bleeds you have to make sure you have View > Guides > Show guides option enabled.

Subtracted hole looks smaller than the same shape put above
I'm noticing when using the pathfinder subtraction feature I'm getting a loss in pixels in the subtracted object. In this instance I have a design that will be printed on a black shirt. I'm subtracting my top black layer from the layers below. I have attached a screen shot for reference. You can see if you compare the subtracted shape to the top black layer there is a loss of line quality. Basically, you cannot get an EXACT subtraction from one shape to another. Cursor navigating with arrow keys not moving
When modifying text, the cursor no longer moves with the arrows (left, right, up, down) on keyboard. I have to click with my mouse everytime now.

Export As jpegs show in recent files
Using File > Export > Export as (Jpeg with artboards) makes a load of lovey jpegs from my artboards.
However all of them show up in the recent files view, making it harder to find the actual recent file I was working on. (Espeically as all the jpegs have the same thumbnail showing all art boards - like the original file. Given Illustrator can't even do much with jpeg files why are they shown at all?

Selecting Anchor Points is WAY TOO HARD
Why is it necessary to click 30 or more times just to delete an anchor point? I have the tolerance set to the maximum, but it makes no difference. When one zooms in, it should make it easier, but nothing changes. Very time consuming and frustrating. Please fix. Illustrator CC 2017 v21.02

Uninstalling Duet Display fixes Premiere and Illustrator crash on file open and file create
I spent an hour trying to get Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Premiere to simply open a file or create a new file. They would both crash immediately with the dialogue box that sends a crash report.
I uninstalled without saving settings and reinstalled both. I also ran the Adobe CC Cleaner tool These made no difference.
Finally, on a hunch I uninstalled Duet Display, a program that allows you to use an iOS device as a second monitor. This fixed the issue.

Illustrator Crashing when opening files
When I'm working in Illustrator and I have another file I want to open, I'll double-click open a file and Illustrator will stop responding. I'll need to quit using the task manager and open the files again.
I had a work-around of opening a file from File > Open, but now that just crashed my illustrator file as well.
I'm working on Windows 10. Unfortunately I can't share my files, but it's been happening across several projects. Can't pin-point a specific issue.

Selection of multiple text objects - changing font not working
We can no longer change the font of multiple text objects at once.
When multiple text objects are selected, Ai thinks this is a 'mixed selection' and does not come up with the typeface selector. Scaling an illustration with grouped guides, the guides do not scale, even when guides are unlocked. This feature used to work as recently as earlier versions of Illustrator CC 2017. This is a feature that my team and I relied upon to ensure that the correct white space was honored when releasing artwork to other agencies. I agree that locked guides in general should not scale. But if I create a box, convert it to a guide while unlocked, and group it to a logo or illustration, it should scale with the logo even if guides are locked. Illustrator used…
