With GPU enabled, the screen flashes when panned
Windows 11 Pro, AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, 64,0 GB, AMD Radeon PRO W6400
With GPU enabled, the screen flashes every time you swipe. and most of the effects look like on the screenshot.

app.preferences.setIntegerPreference() does not work
app.preferences.setIntegerPreference("rulerType", 0) changes the selection in the GUI but doesn't actually apply the change to the document.
I still have to go into the GUI preferences, change the units to something else, then back to inches and close for the change to actually apply to the current document.

Variable Font Changes
While working with a Variable Font in Adobe Illustrator 27.2, everything works fine, and I save and close the file I am working on. The next time I open the file in Illustrator, the Variable Font changes to an italic version. There is no easy fix to revert the text other than to select and adjust it.

A group with no appearance attributes is treated and marked like it has some
- Create two objects (e.g. rectangles)
- Group them
- Open Appearance panel
- Add a stroke to your group
- Remove the stroke (with the Delete Selected Item button)
- Open Layers panel and study the appearance 'ring' marker of the group — Illustrator now believes the group has a custom appearance, while there is none!
If you click the Contents in the Appearance panel with the group selected, Illustrator will clearly say 'Group: No Appearance' in the top of the panel.
This 'empty' appearance can be saved as Graphic Style even and applied to another object, giving no actual result, except for the 'solid…

Smart Guides do not work properly in large documents
I don't know if this is a recent problem with the 2023 version on Illustrator, but when I'm working on very large documents, smart guides simply do not work. I have to zoom really close to be able to snap and align this correctly. I believe that the behavior of such functionally should be scalable and independent of zoom levels.

Workspace keeps disappearing
I had a custom workspace of everything I needed and right where I wanted it. Multiple times now I open up AI and my workspace is no longer there. I create a new one just how I want it again, and a short time later it disappears again and I have to start all over again. I don't know if its happening because of updates or something else, but it's frustrating and it throws off my workflow cause I have to keep taking take to reset everything.

Training videos do not open
I have just started to use AI and I want to watch every training video which is provided. Unfortunately, when I click any of them, just blank page comes and I cannot do anything else.

Illustrator crashes if you search in the file explorer to relink/change image
Windows 10 Pro (22H2)
Illustrator 28.0 (64 bit)When you try to relink/change an image you get the file explorer window.
Then you click on the search box and it freezes, only option is to cancel and return to Illustrator, but the program is frozen and the only solution is to kill it via the Task Manager.1 vote -
Justification attribute to center text in Illustrator API
Why do Justification to aiCenter and Align Center produce different results?
Given myLabel string with at least one line break character in it, when I use JavaScript code like this...Set myFrame = textGroup.TextFrames.Add

Isolation mode requires more than 2 clicks
I have to double click several times to enter isolation mode when an asset is in multiple nested groups.
It was not apparent I needed to double click multiple times to drill down into subgroups until writing this feedback and observing the program much more closely.
I was trying to enter isolation mode by rapidly clicking on the element I wanted to isolate, but Illustrator does not drill down into a deeper group unless there is a pause in clicks. It is therefore possible to click on an element 10-20 times in quick succession which is interpreted as only a…

Color Picker changes the settings when saved
I am tweaking a color in Illustrator CC. I make slight adjustments to the Saturation and Brightness controls and hit Save. When I open the color picker again, the Hue, Saturation and Brightness controls are all shifted slightly. The Hue is especially disconcerting as it appears to be shifting left with every save.

Place individual PSD layers into Illustrator as LINKED files like InDesign
Placing individual psd layers in Illustrator is a joke compared to Indesign.
When trying to place a linked and layered psd file in Illustrator you get NO 'options' (even when 'options' is selected in the dialogue box when placing/importing.)
You have to have 'link' turned off in the dialogue box in order to see the 'options' and even then the psd layers just come in as embedded shapes WHICH AREN'T linked but embedded instead. When you then unembed/link them, NEW .psd files are then created instead of linking back to the original .psd files.

Dragging Pallets from monitors with different magnifications causes problems
I have two monitors on my desktop. Both are 4K but one is set to magnification 100% and the other set to 175% for easy reading. When I run Illustrator on the 100% monitor and the pallets slip over to the 175% monitor, the pallets enlarge to 175%. Dragging them back to the 100% monitor leaves them at 175% magnification (which is much bigger than everything else).
The magnified pallet still takes up the size of the regular un-magnified pallet, but the contents are too big to work and there are no scrollbars. So the Pallet boundaries are resized, but…

Can't import complex file into new layout - Unknown error
Hello, we can't import complex file inside Illustrator since we switched to Mac Studio M1. Is there any incompatibility with the hardware ? The same setup (OS + AI version) works on Intel based Macs.
Setup : Mac os Ventura 13.4 - Mac Studio Apple M1 Max - Illustrator 27.6 (doesn't work on older version either)

Illustrator does not omit spaces in values in inputs, unlike in InDesign

Unlike in InDesign, where we can accidentally make this:
'21 |mm' → '21 0|mm' and get '210 mm' as a result, in Illustrator it goes liek this instead:
'21 |mm' → '21 0|mm' → '21 mm'

Bug deletou todo o arquivo que estava salvo no pc anteriormente
Eu estava trabalhando no arquivo há 6 horas, salvando tranquilamente, quando transformei em traçado uma imagem tudo ficou branco como se tivesse deletado tudo. Fechei e abri de novo sem salvar, quando o arquivo abriu veio todo em branco.
