  1. Whole compound path gets affected when rounding a corner

    I have added a few shapes and then wanted to round only 2 anchor points, but as you can see here, other points are affected, even though they are NOT selected

  3. Problem with <use> element of SVG files

    In SVG 1.0/1.1, the <use> element uses the xlink:href attribute to refer to objects; In SVG 2.0, the attribute was changed to href. Illustrator supports the former, but not the latter, content will be lost when opening such a file.

    Below is a simple test case (saved as a .svg file). There are three circles in it, the second one is referenced via xlink:href and the third one is referenced via href, opening the file in Illustrator will only see the first two.

  4. Illustrator 2023 crash

    He realizado un diseño en Adobe Illustrator 2022 y luego de guardarlo y cerrarlo lo intento abrir y por mas que intento no abre, el programa se queda cargando un poco y luego se cierra automaticamente. No me abre, el archivo es un poco pesado y tardaría pero igualmente deberia abrir. He estado con soporte y aun así no han conseguido el error.

  5. Crash on creating new file

    I updated to Illustrator 2023 (v27.0.0) a few days ago. Now, whenever I launch and try to create a new file, the program crashes. I can't do anything. I'm running MacOS 12.6.

  6. Image appears different in review link than in illustrator desktop app

    When I share my illustrator design through the BETA share option one of my graphics displays differently through the link than it does in Illustrator. See screenshot. Image from the review link and image in the actual illustrator file.

  7. Playing Save for Web operation from action produces different result than a direct operation

    1. Rename the .txt file to .aia
    2. Load this file as a set into Actions panel
    3. Open the .ai document (make sure that linked .tif file is loaded)
    4. Export the file using Save For Web command. Set size to 200% and save the result as 1.jpg
    5. Run the 'Test' action form the loaded set. Save the image as 2.jpg

    Compare both files. 2.jpg is looking more red than 1.jpg
    No profiles attached to JPGs.

    1. Run the action again
    2. While the S4W dialog is open, go to Optimize menu (hamburger button in top right corner) and disable 'Convert to sRGB' option

  8. Dash lines display incorrectly on rectangles with rounded corners. Ai CC2022.

    The lower right corner is rendered incorrectly if you apply rounded corners to rectangles with dashed lines.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Draw a rectangle, 3 x 4 inches (for example).
    2. Apply 0,25 in of corner radius.
    3. Change the stroke to 6 pt and set the dashed line at your taste.
    4. Look at the bottom right corner of the rectangle.

  10. SVG text exportation creates a fragmented code

    All texts I wrote in a drawing, when exported to SVG files, were not anymore consistent: fragments of texts were overlapping each others.
    I opened SVG file using a text reader and I discovered that my texts were unnecessarily fragmented in many parts that finally were badly rebuild in the code.

  11. I can't comment on the "č" key after the update

    After today's update to version 26.0 I have the same problem with key "č". Others work without a problem.

    I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 26.0.1 which is available worldwide now.

    Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.

  12. pattern swatches using raster artwork creating glitch

    I am using a mac studio, M1 Max chip, Ventura 13.1, and Illustrator 27.1.1. Issue occurs when using GPU view.

    I use pattern swatches extensively in my work to create a digital foil effect. My pattern swatches are made from raster images placed into Illustrator. I have been using this for years with no problem and am only experiencing this problem since upgrading my computer and my software.

    When I move artwork that uses the pattern swatches, splotches of my pattern appear in my document, sometimes even on my artboard covering my artwork.

    This directly interferes with my workflow.

  13. An object's stroke thickness when it is copied and pasted

    I have scales strokes and effects checked off in preferences and under transform but even if not, the problem persists. When I create an object with the blob brush tool, and I color it in, then copy and paste it, the stroke thickness changes (thicker or thinner). I am not changing size, just copying and pasting it.

  14. Align / distribute spacing applies x10 multiplier in large-canvas document

    Distribute objects doesn't work properly in a large-canvas document. In the example. I applied a spacing of 2 inches, but a x10 multiplier is automatically applied, so the spacing is actually 20 inches.

    Every time I change the stoke width of a line, it scales the height or width - even if in scale I've unselected 'scale strokes and effects'

  16. SVG export crashes

    Exporting to SVG causes Illustrator 26.2.1 (64-bit) on Window 10 (21H2 19044.1645) to crash. No export is created.

  17. Can't Save AS!!!!!

    When I try to SAVE or SAVE AS. Nothing happens. This is a random bug just pops up randomly.

    It won't let me save or even save as. When I click Save As the finder box doesnt open so I can't do anything.

    I'd have to force quit so that AI thinks it crashed then pray that I get my recovered document when I open it up again.

    FIX THIS PLEASE.

  18. Applying Inflate Clips the Ends of a Line

    I made a line with the line tool, made the stroke 3 points wide, and chose a color for the stroke. I also went into the stroke options and chose the rounded cap. Then I used the width tool to tweak the shape of the line to resemble the object I was drawing.

    When I go to Effect-->3D and Materials-->Inflate, it crops off both the top and bottom end of the line.

    I'm using Windows 11 and Adobe Illustrator 2022 v. 26.5.

  19. Tool icons color are with black instead of normal

  20. Highlighted selection box not appearing for text

    When I select text, the bounding box appears, but when I select actual letters/words to edit, there is no highlighted/selection box showing me that I am selecting characters and which one. It's like I'm playing a bit of a guessing game: let's see if I actually selected the letters I meant to, fingers crossed!
