Exporting SVG 1.2 Tiny gives a metadata / namespaces error
I use Illustrator CC 2017 21.1.0.
When exporting an Illustrator document to SVG 1.2 tiny and open in Dreamweaver CC2017 or another editor I receive an error on the Illustrator metadata / namespaces like:

Submenus don't work
No drop down menu for the Tools are visible :
- Direct selection (A)
- Pen (P)
- Text (T)
- Stroke (Maj+ T)
- Rectangle (M)
- P
- Maj + N
- Maj + E
-... all with a sub menuNo tools are visible

Crashes on "Cancel" in Keyboard Shortcuts Window
- Illustrator CC 2017 (21.1.0)
- Pressed "Cancel" in the Keyboard Shortcuts window.
- Expected Keyboard Shortcuts window to close without saving changes.
- Illustrator crashes
No plugins installed.
Removing preferences resolves the bug, but something in the process of re-setting my preferences makes the bug return.

grabbing tiny things
BUG!!!!! not a new idea quit trying to shirk responsibility by calling flaws "new ideas!" It feels like im dealing with a con man or something
you cannot grab menus and move them because you made no place to grab so you have to close it just to move !
the 4 bezier curve tools use to be easy to to expand to a tear off then you made it a little harder because you had to grab the top of the bar, then you made it harder by putting the tiny little grabber bar an inch away and even…

Small Caps no longer working as it should
Illustrator 2017.1.0. Setting the Small Cap percentage no longer works for some fonts. They seem to have their own default setting that is unaffected by changing the percentage in the Document Setup window. In the attached example, Small Caps is set to 90%. In the first two font examples, you can see it's nowhere near that. If I change the setting, the bottom word will change but the top two remain the same. This is terrible!!
1 voteIllustrator uses real Small Capitals when a font has specialized glyphs for that, just like these two top fonts used in the test file.
When a font does not have true small caps, they get faked using the value from Document Setup.

Sluggish tool bar
You mean "fix" illustrator this is a problem not a new idea.
When you try to change to the second tier in the tool bar (i.e. from rotate to mirror there is a long lag. It used to be so easy you just slide over now you have to hold the mouse on the thing for 3 seconds and the it pops over to the side then you have to scroll over and release. Why did you make it slower in the most recent version when it worked fine for years?
can't toggle to minus Magnifying glass tool with option…

Can't create new artwork
new button and menu item just start dialog box so can't create any new artwork from scatch

Appearance pallet, 2 top stacks always expand, after use Type Tool
Illustrator 22.0.0 72@102345, Illustrator 21.1.0 and all previous CC versions
Steps:
1. Open Illustrator, new document
2. Open Appearance Palette (Shift+F6)
3. Collapse all stacks in Appearance Palette (if they expanded)
4. Choose Type Tool
5. Use Type Tool in any place of document
6. ESC and Click any place of documentExpected result:
Appearance Palette Stacks remain minimized (folded)Actual result:

Illustrator stops working and closes
This is simple enough, and I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to, but this has been happening for years, every time I get started I do about an hour of work then its complains it has stopped working and closes! No save option, no autosave, no back up, nothing!
A very simple way to fix this, have an autosave!

Control panel doesn’t display 'Group' when a group has only live shapes in it
Why is it that when a group is selected, the Object Type Indicator in Control panel doesn’t call it a group?

Pathfinder accuracy, bloated file sizes, interface changes
Pathfinder does not function properly in Illustrator CC2017 on my 4 GHz i7 (late 2015) iMac OSX 10.11.16; AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB, forcing me to fall back and work in old Illustrator CS6.
When I divide two shapes or paths (particularly curves, ellipes etc), the anchor points sometimes move, and paths (curves, angles etc) change. Very sloppy, "kind-of, sort-of" results, with an absolute lack or precision.
CS6 and earlier versions did not have this problem. It is intermittent and unpredictable, but troublesome enough as to render CC 2017 unusable and made me have to revert to using CS6…

Resize handles offset from selection
For some reason, all of my resize handles are offset from the actual object that's selected. I'm not sure what causes this problem, but it makes the entire app very difficult to use.

Zooming stops at 33882.35% and does not go further to 64000%
Why in illustrator cc 2019 zoom tool always stops at 33882.35% level when i draw a rectangle with it and not continuing to 64000% zoom level?

Transparent PNG linked into AI drawing
I've exported transparent PNG's from Photoshop, and I'm trying to work on an Illustrator drawing with them, so I can eventually put them into my InDesign doc. So, I link in a PNG to Illustrator and it decides to read it as though it has a white background. So, naturally, I don't realize this because I'm working on a white artboard until I get into InDesign and the art is blocking the master, leaving me to go back into all my illustrator files to replace a linked file with embedded artwork. Application Frame & Tabs bar
Often when opening a file & launching the application the tabs bar is inactive as you can see in the attachment.

Essentials Classic Workspace is missing
I have students who do not have access to the Essentials Classic Workspace. If this was removed this is a BAD idea, particularly for education environments. Educators like myself spend a great deal of time producing project-specific videos using a particular interface configuration and if my students cannot access it the videos and my valuable time have been wasted.s
1 voteJim, Essentials Classic workspace is still there and won’t be removed, as far as I know. That is definitely a local corruption, and a clean reinstallation or Preferences reset is advised.

Objects moving and resizing themselves
My team is having issues with selected objects moving and resizing themselves when we're not actually moving them (hand not on mouse). We just had a sizing error because of this. Please advise.
