  1. Fix rich tooltips causing screen flickeringin still in 28.1 64 bit win 11

    Please fix rich tooltips. they still keep flickering the screen completely when the pop up. User fix is to turn rich tooltips off in prefernces.

  2. Font Height settings not working with all-small-cap typefaces

    1. Working in MacOS 13.5.2

    2. Illustrator 27.8.1

    3. When setting type in a Area Type box, the default Font Height is snapping to the x-height of the text, but only when using fonts with small-cap style lowercase letterforms, rather than typical lowercase forms. When using a font with typical lowercase, the Font Height of the box is defaulting to the height of uppercase letters, as expected.

    This behavior is happening to fonts installed locally on my system, as well as those activated though Adobe Fonts.

  3. Using blending modes with embedded images now gives darker colors

    In version 28 transparency in embedded images doesn't work the same way it worked in version 27, thus making impossible to use older files with the new version.
    Transparency (as in soft light, overlay...) gives a different result, usually darker, flatter.
    Looks like the issue is with embedded images, not linked, but since I need to use images in patterns I need to embed them.

  4. パターン作成時に幅と高さに0.0001mmの誤差

    基準点を中心にした状態でパターンを作成する際に、パターンオプションの幅と高さに0.0001mmの誤差が発生します。縦横比維持の選択を解除し数字を均一にしても、「オブジェクトにタイルサイズを合わせる」などの項目を選択することにより、また0.0001㎜の誤差が発生します。
    尚、基準点を左上にしているときは、このような誤差は発生しない。

  5. EXPORTAR PARA TELAS COM DEFEITO

    O Illustrator 28.3 não está EXPORTANDO PARA TELAS todos os selecionados, apenas a primeira tela, da segunda em diante o arquivo vem com 0kb sem imagem. Preciso que me ajudem, pq trabalho exportando muitos arquivos de uma vez todos os dias. Fico tendo que dar print ou criando um arquivo novo apenas para uma tela pra ai conseguir exportar. horrivel. Eu exporto mais de 10 telas em um arquivo. Preciso de ajuda

  6. Changing text case switches hyphenation on ( from off )

    Switching the text case from one case to another turns hyphenation on if it was previously set to off.

    I believe this is a new bug in v 27.9. ( today's date is Oct 5 ,2023 for the record )

    This is especially bad becuase users have been asking for hyphenation to be OFF by default. Asking for years and years. 5+ years I think.

  7. Popups in the Appearance palette often lock up Illustrator.

    Lately whenever I summon a popup in the Appearance palette, I will often find that Illustrator locks up with a spinning rainbow pinwheel. I have waited a while for it to return and it never does; I now consider this a cue to restart Illustrator and hope I saved recently, or that I got lucky with the crash recovery.

    The two popups I get it with more often are the stroke/fill color, and the stroke. I've included screenshots of both to make it more obvious where to fool around. Next time this happens I'll come provide a file that does…

  8. Plugin menu items in Select menu appear above saved selections without a divider

    Plugins can add their own menu commands in different menus.
    Specifically in Select menu, they get treated weirdly.

    Normally, without any plugins installed, the bottom of Select menu looks fine, like this:
    Save Selection...
    Edit Selection...
    Update Selection ← this is a new command added recently
    <end of menu>

    When at least one saved selection is added, Ai adds a horizontal separator and list saved selection under it:
    Save Selection...
    Edit Selection...
    Update Selection
    ————————————————
    My Amazing Selection

  9. Hidden clipping mask still contributes to exported image

    I had a design with two clippings mask applied to it, for layout and previewing purposes.
    When time to export a final image comes, I hide the top-level smaller one, and leave the larger one at the bottom to clip my design.

    But when I review the exported image, I realize Illustrator removed the some elements of the design, despite me seeing them on canvas. It took a live brush and deleted some parts of it even!

  10. Smart guides don’t highlight a repeat object when it’s grouped

    1. Please open the attached file.
    2. Make sure you have Smart Guides enabled (and Object Highlighting enabled as well in Preferences > Smart Guides) and Snap to Grid disabled.
    3. Hover your cursor over the yellow circle — you will see a blue edge highlighted.
    4. Hover again, but over the black cross — Illustrator won’t highlight it.
    5. Open the Layers panel and study the object tree — yo will see that the Radial Repeat is grouped.
    6. Select it, ungroup it, and try to hover over it again — now Illustrator will draw the edges.

  11. almost all the images in my file turn black after saving.

    almost all the images I copy pasted to my file are black now. it was after saving the file.

  13. Cannot re-select zoom level in status bar

    I recently updated to MacOS Sonoma and Illustrator 27.9. I am using a single monitor setup. I can select the zoom once from the status bar, but when I try again it is not selectable.

  15. Não consigo salvar arquivo

    Geralmente uso o mesmo layout, quando quero criar um arquivo novo, abro o antigo edito o texto e imagem e salvo com outro nome em outra pasta. Só que não tenho conseguido fazer isso. Eu coloco para salvar, escolho a pasta e ele simplesmente não salva. Só Consigo salvar por cima do arquivo antigo

  16. Wacom is crashing Illustrator 2023

    It crashes within in minutes. It will crash while selecting a tool, moving the screen, or trying to use a tool--any function using a Wacom. There is rarely a crash report and often it's not even open long enough for the 2 minute autosave to kick in. I'm on a pc with Windows 10 and 27.2 cc.

  17. AI 28.1 - Error Message in Acrobat when saving files with transparencies

    When I save as a PDF using anything other than PDFx I get an error when the file opens in Acrobat. It seems the issue has to do with masked vectors and transparency.

  20. Arrow keys stopped moving selected objects

    Selected objects are not moving with arrow keys (this was working fine earlier today). In the history panel it shows the actions as "Move" when I press the arrows, but the objects do not move with this method.

    I had not changed any settings, verified the layers were not locked, tried it with a single object and got the same result. I tried this on both my Mac keypad and my bluetooth keyboard, so it isn't an issue with the keys themselves. I restarted my Mac twice and it has failed to resolve.

    This got solved by changing the Keyboard Increment parameter in Preferences > General back to a normal value.

    Since it’s the first field that gets active when the dialog is called, it seems like it’s very easy to change it accidentally. It’s not the first time this is reported, so if it happened to you — please try to see if you can recreate the problem intentionally.
